Think what you will about Dr. Carly Manning —- CC is a powerful actress. I know lots don’t like her because of Bo, but you know what they say about taking two to tango. Carly wasn’t in this relationship all by herself, but she sure is paying for it all by herself. Her and Bo were both wrong on so many levels, but looks to me like Carly’s the only one paying the price for it. Crystal Chappel did a terrific job yesterday. I always believed her to be an extremely strong actress, and I’m looking forward to her reconnecting with Nicholas (on the telephone at first), but I think that will only drive the knife deeper into her, because she and Nick are very much estranged, and throwing salt in her wounds right about now will not be the way to take Carly, on top of everything she’s going through. Honestly, I had to look away when she rammed that hypodermic needle into her leg yesterday, and her breakdown after she did it was so well down. Losing that young patient brought it all to a head for Carly, and then seeing Bo immediately thereafter and him being all "business" with her was piling the heavy stones on her back even more. Then watching Bo and Hope get on the elevator, and finally seeing them kiss on the pier, just finally cracked that hard shell I’m so used to her wearing. I felt genuinely sad for Carly on one hand, because I find that even though I realize that she should have expected Bo would always love Hope, and she was merely a second-best substitution for that love, that Bo’s life was back to normal with Hope, while hers was shattered by memories of a love that will never be hers. Great acting from CC and looks like this is a storyline I just might enjoy watching.
CC is a great actress and really pulled that scene off well yesterday. I am a lot like the Carly character in that I present a very tough exterior and let it build then finally break down, so I totally found her acting believable. I wonder if she is going to go completely over the edge or if she’ll become addicted to drugs. I actually think an addiction storyline could be a good one if they aren’t so cavalier with it. There are many in health care who cope with the stress by becoming addicted to the drugs they have easy access to.
My wish for Carly is that she one day finds a relationship that doesn’t involve someone else’s husband or one where she is second best. Can’t wait to see how this plays out.
people getting shots through clothing I’m going to scream. A doctor, of all people, would NEVER do that. Too easy to shove a thread from the cloth into your leg and what a mess THAT would make. Not to mention it certainly wasn’t a sterile site.
anything great about CC’s acting. Of course, I don’t like her anyway, so it’s easy for me to not think she’s that good. There’s just something about her that just makes me cringe. She should be smart enough to know that her and Bo would not last. She just thought she could bombard her way in to Bo’s life and marriage(I know there were problems already), and completely take over and move in and have Bo. Well, it’s now hitting her in the face and she can’t take it.
Days wouldn’t have had Carly inject herself for a one time thing. I do think she will get into self medicating, and done right (not the superficial way Days usually does these SLs) again, a chance for some powerful drama. I’ve grown to like Carly much better these days and will be interested to see where this is headed.
I’m not in the medical field, but it just seems like there would be such a huge chance of getting the cloth into the leg and therefore getting an infection. Every shot I’ve ever gotten required me to roll up a sleeve or drop trou.
I agree. If this storyline is done right Carly could become interesting to watch again. Plus it could provide some good material for Melanie rather than all the whining she’s been up to lately.
I just don’t care for the actress or the character. Carly said she come to Salem because she would feel safe with Bo; she took a lot for granted. If she killed Lawrence, she should have to answer for it.

It’s good to know that I am not the only one who doesn’t care for Carly(character and actress)at all. I haven’t liked her since the first time I saw her. One thing(of many) that really bothers me is her evil looking eyes. I still think she needs to be arrested for killing Lawrence, regardless of how mean he supposedly was to her.
Sami get revenge for Rafe2! lol Sami needs some lessons from Carly! When Carly shot Lawrence he died even if he does keep returning as the evil ghost.
