but then how can he have said that to her, knowing he is also Rafe’s and Gabi’s (and I would guess Dario’s) father as well? Guess we’ll have to wait on that one. In the credits A. Martinez is listed as Eduardo Larson, so I’m guessing he really was married to Eve, and she gave her her father’s name as well. Loving this sl now. Also, there will be a funeral for Paige. When’s the last time that happened?? Making sure I have a good supply of Kleenex for that one, too.
I’m only 23 minutes into the show and KD and AM are blowing me away. Have they ever acted together in the past?
he’s Rafe’s and Gabi’s dad, but Gabi might be wrong; also I don’t know about the other two Hernandez kids (Ariana and Dario). I’m not even sure he’s Gabi’s dad. Isn’t she the youngest Hernandez child? Very confusing would be an understatement here. Maybe he was never married to Rafe’s mom.
actor so I’m not suprised he is cementing his role already. Wonder if he and Eve will reunite or is there another potential lady for Eduardo?
and KDP has been let go (shame…she’s so good), so unless it is just a 13-week contract, I imagine he’ll be sticking around, if only to develop some sort of bonding with his ‘other’ kids and we’ll hopefully get some good backstory on the Hernandez family ties. I read where Camila (Gabi) said she will be back for a year at least.
with those kind of circumstances. I would have been very curious about my father. And what a shame about your mom. It almost makes me feel guilty that I had a very normal up-bringing with two parents who were married ’til death took my dad away at age 52 and mom never even dated again until she died at 72. And I had very normal brothers and a sister too so I guess I was very lucky. I applaud all you guys who have had such difficult circumstances to grow up under. Bravo to you all.
felt very stilted and awkward at first, almost like he had just graduated from acting school but then he got going and became the seasoned veteran he actually is. (I hate that goatee though, get rid of it…please!) He has also done very well on the aging scene. No way does he look 67.
I have a feeling that after crying on his shoulder, Eve may soften toward him and they will get closer to each other. Since he remembered the picture of Paige when she was five, that must mean they were together for that long, at least. Maybe he can change her into a somewhat decent human bean. God knows, she certainly couldn’t become any worse.
Even despicable Theresa was halfway decent yesterday, showing her sympathy to Eve.
Unsure about his presence there and how it would be received, nervous because he had abandoned his daughter. I thought he caught the emotions of being newly arrived to the party too late quite well.
Eduardo knew he would not be welcome, but he bit the bullet and took everything Eve had to throw in his face, and still wanted to stay and help Eve. I thought A. Martinez exhibited sincere regret for the whole "deadbeat dad" Eve threw his way, and rightfully so by the way. Even when she beat on his chest, he stood there and took it realizing what she was going through. Then, he held her and allowed her grief to calm her, and then simply held her tight and cried softly with her. PHEW!!! It showed me that he truly believed he deserved it. I absolutely loved his performance. Two skilled actors showing how to do it, and how to do it RIGHT! kUDOS to both A. Martinez and Kassie. Can’t wait to see him with Rafe today.
I really appreciate everyone who commented. There is strength in numbers. Many have had similar
experiences and you do the best with what you have.
My mother was a big fan of Days for almost 20 years but now in the nursing home she cannot watch
it. I tell her every day what happened and she seems interested. She still knows me but cannot
communicate very well verbally as the Alzheimer’s has taken the communication area of her brain.
But she does nod and change facial expressions when I tell her the latest Days news.
It will be interesting to see how it all plays out killer wise and how many beloved characters are
going to exit because of this or just changes in story direction.
Can’t wait to see who the killer will be though Ben seems likeliest at the moment.
