the commercials say dec 12th, a monday. my son has been begging me to let the family watch it since the first commercials came on (seems like they’ve been going for over a month). we will definitely be tuning in.

i am still not really seeing how it can all tie together- a picture of a baby, and talking about alice having made payments for 20 years, with the account still active and under cloak and dagger secrecy. e.j may have been born on the show in 1997 (making him younger than my 15 year old son), but he is obviously portayed as much older than 20. i could see having some kind of child support requiring paying for college, but i can’t see who on the show is that age range who could be tied to both the dimeras and the hortons. possibly chad. but why would alice keep it a secret, albeit a secret stefano seems to know about, considering that phoenix paperweight.  it is driving me nuts when i think about it too much!

I am not a coffee drinker at all, so I can’t give you any tried and true advice. however, I know "they" used to recommend putting your whole beans in the freezer to keep them longer, but I have seen multiple reports recently saying you really shouldn’t do that (i can’t remember the reasoning). it could be your taste buds have changed over time, as well, so may be time to add sugar and creamer to the cuppa joe. I used to get mochas from starbucks, but then I realized that was the only time i ever drank coffee- for the sweet chocolaty flavor, not the coffee flavor, so i stopped spending the money and just do cocoa at home. :)

the only way this could be believable to me (i.e. the length of time Johnny was "missing" yet really just under the table) would be if he has a head injury (from the table falling on him?) that caused him to be unconscious this entire time….

From the way it played out, I almost immediately assumed it was just to scare people. I can’t remember who John was hugging when the shooting started, but I think it was either Sami or one of the young kids. They showed the target over them with John facing the window and the other person with their back to the window. When the shooter took a shot at that moment, the thought that went through my head was that no marksman would take a shot at that moment- they would want a clear shot, not to have the possiblity of hitting someone other than the intended target. and then when they kept showing the panes of glass being shot, I actually laughed. None of it seemed like anything that would happen as it would in real life in similar situations. the only caveat to that is if someone the shooter loved had killed themselves (presumably due to John’s financial shenanigans), the shooter might be wanting to kill someone John loved, though that is not the way it seemed to play out.

oh, i did not hear that part, that is utterly ridiculous. retractables are expensive, I can’t imagine any business scheme where the cost for it would make sense. Not to mention the permanent part of the supports and roof taking up space that could otherwise be used for more shops. I guess the horton foundation did not need it to make sense, lol.  (i live in the seattle area, with a retractable roof for the mariners.)

I thought that was weird, too, but on one of the episodes, someone mentioned how nice it was that the horton plaza was "indoors" or safe from the weather. That was news to me, I had thought it was an outdoor space, especially with all the trees. I am not sure how it is an indoor space, maybe mostly covered areas between all the stores? an outdoor strip mall with a roof?

I was a little frustrated with the conversation about it today- um, if jack went to Paris, he should have the proof Jen was looking for stamped right in his passport.

just as an aside, I believe in both these instances, it does have "has/have" prefacing it- "America’s got" is the same as "America has got", and "you’ve got" is "you have got"…..

editted– sorry, realized this contained a spoiler, so I am deleting part of the comment.

However, I do want to say it is possible we are being led astray along with the characters, in that the stolen eggs may not have any relation to the 20 years of monetary payments Alice made.

or watch online. I had watched the first 10 minutes and wasn’t that impressed, but after that I loved it. I, too, am wondering how it will be a series rather than a mini-series. I just hope it lasts long enough to resolve enough of the story, because I like it enough that I will be mad if it gets cancelled quickly.

also, one of the comments mentions watching Grimm on Sunday, I think it is on this Friday, not Sunday. I will be watching that one, too. I had been more looking forward to that one based on commercials, though after watching the Once Upon a Time pilot, I think Grimm will have a hard time topping it for me. (Though they look like they are approaching from different angles, so may be similar subject, but I don’t know how similar the actual show concepts are.)

billie could get in a triangle with daniel and roman. (oh wait, then daniel would have dated 3 generations in the same family, that is a little too far- Chelsea, Billie, Kate). If I recall correctly, there was a glimmer of something between Billie and Roman the last time she was on, I thought it might work. This is another instance in which SORAS kind of messes up the dating scene- Billie is supposed to be younger than Austin, who dated Sami, so I think of Billie in that age group- making it awkward, IMO, for her to be dating the next older generation. Maybe they can bring in RKK as a different character, so those two can be reunited, I actually would like that. Perhaps they will pair her with Quinn. Or, maybe it will really just be for the holidays, which may be for the best!
