Participantportraying a teen with autism. I’m sure he’s being written, and perhaps even coached, by Dena Higley. In any case, I liked the portrayal yesterday, especially in his scenes with Joe Johnson. Kyler pulled that off well, getting nervous and excited, thinking he did something wrong. It was a little too contrived when he went for help that it was his sister, Lani, who came to help Joe, though. Whatever, the teens are fine with me so far, and I’m glad Abe is getting a story to go along with Theo and Lani. Nice work there writers.
I thought the actress playing Ciara was going to need some help with the role at first, but yesterday she was much better and more like the old Ciara, and I can see she is going to be a firecracker. I really liked her scenes with Julie yesterday, and Julie telling her how much she reminder her of her own life when Julie was her age. I also really liked the writing about the leather jacket and why it meant so much to Ciara, right down to the way it smelled because it reminded her of her dad. Okay, I got a little teary-eyed there.
I think Joe’s illness is going to connect Kayla and Steve and put them in a new exciting sl where they will be working together, and I’ll be happy to watch that unfold, especially if it gets them back together again as a family, because Kayla was becoming a bit of a pain in the butt for me lately (LOL). So I’m looking forward to a new and exciting sl here for the Johnson family. Wonder if this will eventually bring Stephanie back at some point.
Chase I still think is short-term and will leave at some point, and Claire doesn’t come on board until later this month, but so far, so good for me.

Participanteven when he was boring and spoke in that silly monotone of a voice. Plus, I have always enjoyed the cop friendship between him and Hope. I guess I wouldn’t mind seeing them pair Hope and Rafe at some point, but not for quite some time. I will give Rafe credit though in that he is doing everything in his power to keep his feelings for Hope buried. I don’t want to see him and Lani paired, though; just NO! LOL!

Participanton the fork being bent back; don’t think you could do that with a plastic fork.
Patti
Participantcause I didn’t see him anywhere either!

Participantabout the announcement of their child, releasing the blue baloons, etc., was a bit telling, meaning that you just knew he would be the high score. I don’t mind it, though, because I thought it was cute, and I think Nick has improved tremendously since week 1; however, that being said, Bindi is a natural talent and she should win it all, IMO. I thought her and Derek deserved 10’s as well, but I really think they were held back so that Nick could be the winner. Just once, though, I would like to see Derek draw somebody like a senior star, or a really bad dancer, but nope, it must be a prerequisite to his contract that it never happens, which is why his routines, although always great, turn me off sometimes, and I think even his sister knows that to be true.

Participantcoming to Hope’s rescue….again!
Patti
Participantbut I’m not sure if Bo will see Hope today or not.

ParticipantI’d rather we didn’t have any. I read there would be tons of flashbacks to the real Days of old, but so far I’ve been disappointed. I guess you can’t do an entire show of flashbacks and living in the past, but I thought one a day during this entire 50th arc of each iconic character/couple would have been nice.

ParticipantI was wracking my brain to try and figure out who Hope reminded me of and you hit it …. it was Eunice from Mama’s family. I loved Carol Burnett in that role.

Participantthat he was going off the rails. When Ben asked her "don’t you get it?"….she said something like "yes, I think I do." She should have headed for the door, but he would have pulled a Will on her and slammed the door shut, stopping her in her tracks. When he told her near the end, "now I can never let you go," I actually got chills thinking what she’s about to go through! Both RSW and KM are really getting the good stuff when it comes to writing right about now. This sl is so much more exciting than the (cough) Bicentennial Gala! I think each day will be getting even more exciting than the one before it. Loving sweeps so far!

ParticipantEOM!

Participanteom.

ParticipantAdrienne looked a mess. Now she really did look like she could be Lucas’ mother. LOL! And she sure was throwing Eve and Justin the stink-eye!

Participantespecially about Brady and Nicole; I thought they’re outfits fit the 60’s the best. Jen’s make-up was really too dark for her skin tone, and Hope’s wig was atrocious. I too thought Marlena looked fabulous, head to toe. I don’t know what look Kate was trying to show, but that wig made me laugh out loud, as well as her outfit. I also thought Theresa’s look was horrible. Hope her designs are better than that. I read somewhere that the dress Caroline was wearing was the one she wore to the Emmy Awards show and now I do think I remember it from there.
I also liked Eve’s dress and hair, but hated Theresa’s; also thought new Ciara’s dress looked like something from a bargain basement rack. Lani wasn’t too bad in the dress department, but again the wig (I assume it was a wig) was awful. Julie just looked like Julie The one I thought looked absolutely beautiful was Gabi, also head to toe. Her and JJ make a fine looking couple, but we’ll see I guess.
I thought all of the guys looked great, even Roman! LOL!

Participantwho told him it wouldn’t even pay the interest, but Andre took Hope’s check anyway.
