Did anybody see when Julianne said she was trying to find something wrong with Bindi’s dance so that she wouldn’t have to give her a 10?  I can’t believe she actually said that and then she said there was some minor thing she does with her shoulders.  That was inappropriate and wrong.  She’s probably trying hard not to show favoritism to her brother, but that is going too far.  I think she deserved 10’s and if Julianne thought she deserved it as well, she should have given it to her.

I do not think that Nick deserved all 10’s; perhaps because I don’t really care for him.  I almost feel that he’s trying to be humble, but he’s really not.  I don’t know; there is just something that I can’t quite put my finger on.  And I thought it was over-the-top to show his wife’s ultrasound and announce he’s having a boy on national tv.  Maybe I’m old fashioned, but I think that should be between him and his wife.  He’s probably trying to get some more votes.  I do not care for Tamar either:  her attitude and the fact that there’s no chemistry between her and Val.

I do love Alexa and Bindi.  Bindi is simply amazing.  Although Derek keeps getting partners that have a natural dance ability, I want them to go all the way.  Bindi is a beautiful dancer and also feisty, enthusiastic, positive, and has a great spirit that is so genuine.

except I did love Nick’s performance. The judges have been harping on Bindi’s shoulders the entire season so maybe it is a reason for 9s. Didn’t Bruno also give her a 9? But she is a joy to watch.
Yes, finding out Nick and his wife were having a boy that way I too didn’t go for. I feel like DWTS also made too big a production about the entire baby thing and the previous miscarriage.
Tamar I can do without. When she made that “I’m the best dancer” comment, what did she expect? Then this week she’s whining about having no esteem. Interesting that the public didn’t call her the winner of the head to head dance. I do not see her taking the trophy.

about the announcement of their child, releasing the blue baloons, etc., was a bit telling, meaning that you just knew he would be the high score.  I don’t mind it, though, because I thought it was cute, and I think Nick has improved tremendously since week 1; however, that being said, Bindi is a natural talent and she should win it all, IMO.  I thought her and Derek deserved 10’s as well, but I really think they were held back so that Nick could be the winner.  Just once, though, I would like to see Derek draw somebody like a senior star, or a really bad dancer, but nope, it must be a prerequisite to his contract that it never happens, which is why his routines, although always great, turn me off sometimes, and I think even his sister knows that to be true.

Agree about Derek.  He ALWAYS gets the partner with some natural dance ability.  It really isn’t fair to all the other pros.   And it seems poor Tony gets the senior (no offense to seniors; it’s just that even if they can dance, they don’t have the flexibility or stamina to pull off all the dances), a partner with no sense of rhythm, or somebody with a really bad attitude.  Didn’t Tony get stuck with Kate Gosselin who was both a really bad dancer and had a bad attitude?

and how talented she is, I sometimes wonder if a lot of that is an act. I just can’t really buy someone being that hyper and up-beat all the time. Anyway, I do think she should tone it down a little.

And I think everybody took Tamar’s remark the wrong way. I did until I thought about it a minute and what she said later. What she was doing was trying to bolster her self-esteem, like they tell you to do in those self-improvement seminars. You say all these positive things to yourself so that you will begin to believe it and it raises your opinion of your self. Sort of like Jack Handy on SNL used to do when he looked in the mirror and said all those great things about himself. Not that I’m overly crazy about her, but I don’t think it was taken the way it was meant.

when Tamar was one of those in danger of leaving, I caught her expression and it was definitely “attitude.” She can dance but I’m not convinced her comment was out of low self-esteem.
As for Bindi, she can be OTT for sure, but if she’s a copy of her father, it could well be the real deal. She also though may be tryinig a bit too hard to please.

Bindi last night was absolute perfection. I cannot believe how accomplished she is with that beautiful extension and movement.
Although I’m no Tamar fan, that was a rough break that her dance had to be judged on dress rehearsal. Val’s rambling about how unfair this was wasn’t his best moment. But it was all moot since he and T made it to next week.
Carlos’ upset over his wife’s elimination was a bit much for me.

Bindi was awesome last night and I loved that routine to "All that Jazz" from Chicago.  Wish they would play more ballroom/show tunes that fit the dances.  The judges didn’t love Carlos’ Argentine tango, perhaps because they played a song that was not a tango!  I won’t go into my beefs again with the music not fitting the dance!!

Tamar should have gone right from the ER directly home to bed.  She has pneumonia so oh ya, risking getting sicker is so worth it for a dance competition!  And, not to mention, she could have gotten everybody else sick.  If the pneumonia wasn’t bacterial, she could easily spread it if it’s viral. Unless she’s been on antibiotics and they work, even the doctors don’t always know if it’s viral or bacterial.  She looked like she was about to pass out after her dance.  Stupid move on her part.

Tamar was flying here, there and everywhere. I just find if ridiculous that some of these people have so many other commitments during this show.  I think they should only go on the show if they can give 100% to it.  If you have other commitments, don’t do the show until your schedule is clear.  It’s not fair to the pros AND the "stars" are getting paid big bucks to do it.

Val was extremely rude to Bruno.  Bruno was just telling him that he has to judge based on the rehearsal footage, not on what could have been and that there were some mistakes, balance issues.  Val didn’t need to say that he didn’t care what the judges think.  What show does he think he’s on?  He’s taken lessens from his big bro apparently.  Tom tried to diffuse that very quickly.  I love Tom!

I was sorry to see Alexa go.  She didn’t deserve to.  I was hoping Alek or Tamar would go.  And yes, Carlos’ reaction was a bit over the top.

everyone is doing such a wonderful job.  I, too, was sorry to see Alexa go.  I thought she was fantastic.  People seem to feel very sorry for Tamar, but her attitude is poor.  Maybe that bout with pneumonia and coming close to being eliminated brought her to a more appreciative place in this competition.  She is good, but then she has Val as a partner.  Him protecting her and dissing Bruno was typical for Val.  Those Chmerkovskiy brothers never hold back when it comes to their criticism of anyone, no matter who they are.  I just think Tamar needs a little more humble pie than she’s willing to eat.  LOL!  I’m still impressed with Nick.  Nice to see all the Backstreet Boys in the audience rooting him on last night.

I’d be back from my sick bed also. They said on Entertainment Tonight the other night what they earned. If they make it to the finals they get $350,000 and I believe it was $250,000 for semi-finals. That’s pretty good incentive to dance no matter how badly you feel.

It does suck that they are eliminated if they can’t dance (or use the dress rehearsal tape) but it wouldn’t be fair to the other contestants either if they were put through without having that week’s dance judged.

It was heartbreaking to see Alexa go and how hard she took it but, hey, someone has to go every week. I do think it should have been Alek though. I don’t think he’s that good. It’s going to be heartbreaking every week from now on. I don’t care what you think of Tamara, you have to admit she is a good dancer but I think all-in-all, it’s going to be Bindi. And speaking of earnings, she has a very lucrative contract. She gets $125,000 for being on the show then $10,000 per show up to $30,000 for week nine then $50,000 for every week she remains. But here’s the rub…she has to prove her father is dead before she can collect her winnings. As Roman would say, WTH?

Alek eliminated. He’s often stiff and not smooth. But hey, he’s a hero much like the guy last year. And didn’t Alexa make some mistakes last week? It should be Tamara and Bindi in the finals but I wouldn’t bet on the viewers putting Braxton through.
Hey, with that payday I’ll even go on the show!

(Extra?) she is done for. I guess what she had wasn’t pneumonia after all but something even worse and more dangerous, a pulmonary embolism on her lungs. She went right back in the hospital from the show. So looks like there will be no elimination for the next show…or…Alexa may be reinstated. Poor Val, he just can’t get a break.

I heard that as well.  I don’t feel bad for Val one tiny bit.  He can’t keep his mouth shut.

Even though Tamar didn’t know at the time that she had blood clots, she should not have come back from the hospital to dance the one dance.  All the money in the world is not worth anybody’s health.  Pneumonia itself can be deadly if not treated properly.  Besides, these people have plenty of money.  She was having a hard time breathing as anybody could see that night after the performance.  Not worth it.  Period.

I do hope she gets through this.  It’s quite serious.

wondering if it would be fair to bring back Alexa. I would rather the show have no elimination and base the next one on two weeks’ worth of scores and voting.
