a handful of fans and die-hard hanger-ons like us will not save this show from the sponsors or the network gremlins if things do not improve.

wasn’t she a "do as I say, not as I do" preacher with Brady yesterday?  I’m so glad he didn’t just take it from her without giving her a few reminders of her part in all of this.  Must be the damn make up.  She was back to looking like a hooker yesterday with all the heavy make-up.  She’s such a natural beauty, I don’t know why they insist on making her look like that.  Accentuating her beautiful eyes is one thing; making her look like she’s modeling for Playboy is something else.  These writers just cannot seem to control their insistence at ruining these characters, especially after they see how much better they were doing.  James Scott is a perfect example of character assassination , followed by Ari Z., Eric M., and quite a few more.

talk about a nerve grating character, for me it’s Taylor, and the actress makes the role that much more unbearable.  I actually thought the scenes between R-2 and Faye were well acted and, up until the part where he threw her down the stairs, almost enjoyable.  It’s obvious that the real psycho behind R-2’s face is getting more treacherous every day, and it is not beyond me to believe that he wouldn’t hesitate to murder someone.  Maybe he’ll start with Faye and take someone out each week directly related to this god-awful storyline, and then either Sami or Nicole will kill him.  Oh, Fafe, you can start with Stefano, followed by E.J., and then take your pick from there.

to get ready for new summer stories, one which will include Bo & Hope.  I read a Peter Reckell interview where he said they will be involved in a "big" summer story line, and that when Gary Tomlin came to him and Kristian with the head’s-up about it, he told them to make their time with family and other personal agenda NOW, because they were going to be completely tied up for this new story line.  My thoughts are that Hope will get her job back and the two of them will be back together hunting and exposing the bad guys (DiMeras, and R-2 story line).  At least, it’s what I’m praying for.  I’m not at all concerned with Ciara.  I don’t think they would pull another missing child or children this close to just being reunited.  Hope needs to get back to work.  Love her and Bo working together in detective mode, anyway.  Anyway, my belief is that the DiMeras are either going to kill R-2 or he will kill one of them.  James has still not signed his contract, but claims they have come to an agreement.  Now what that means, only time will tell.  But if Nicole finds out how he’s been playing her and Taylor, or that R-2 is responsible for Faye’s death and, worse, came to be through the DiMeras plot in the first place, I’d be more concerned about her if I were E.J. and Stefano than I would anyone else.  I’m looking forward to an exciting May sweeps on so many levels.  Hope I’m not disappointed.

     Here is the casting call:

"DAYS has put out a casting call for Ryan, who is described as a "17 to 18-year old Caucasian or African-American male.  Ryan is the all-American high school idol.  Gorgeous, well-built quarterback of the football team.  Popular, confident and charismatic… the world is at his feet for the taking."

The role is contract and the character will start airing during May sweeps."

but they sent the wrong one to the couch.  The only thing I can think is that he’s popular with the younger females because 1) the majority of voters, I believe, are young females and even tweens; 2) he’s got that young, scraggly model look that the young girls seem to love today; and 3) he wears "skinny" jeans, making him appear cool and hip to the young girls (I know it’s a fad with young guys today, but I think it looks stupid.  He looks like a popsicle stick after somebody already ate the popsicle).  As for his voice, I have to keep reminding myself that this is a "singing" contest, and although he may sound unique to some, to me he just sounds hoarse.  Rod Stewart?? Sorry, but no way can I compare him to that legend, even though Rod’s "Maggie May" might have been his best performance.  Loved the duets they did for this results show, by the way.  Casey, that was so right on about Pia.  Every time she appears, I picture her in the back seat of a Caddy convertible, roses in one hand, the other hand held high giving that "Miss America" wave to the crowd.  I also wish she would change up her hairstyle, too.  She is a very pretty girl, and yes, she can knock a ballad out of the park, but c’mon, show us a little diversity next week.  So glad Haley made it through.  She was the best for me.

thank God.  We have a couple of spare bedrooms and whenever one or more of the kids stay over, they have a room.  This one particular happened to be taken over by my oldest grandson, who’s now 19 and living on his own; well, at least alone as he can be with 2 roomies, 5 (count em’) snakes of various lengths and sizes, a rose-haired tarantula named "Rosey", and two spotted geckos named "Frick and Frack."  AND THEY ALL LIVE IN HIS BEDROOM!  I was so happy for him when he found his own shelter……I mean apartment.

named "Ryan".  Some super-star, gorgeous athlete who is "new" in town.  At least that’s how they wrote him in "comings and goings".  I don’t know when he’s starting, but I do know that the original story line is supposed to be a member of the cast that we all know (Will, obviously) and someone "new."  So, my thought is it will be this new kid, Ryan, who is supposed to be around 17-19 years old.

and Nicole is so dumbed down, I just can’t stand it much longer.  The looks alone between E.J. and Taylor, which are so far over the top it isn’t funny any longer, don’t have anyone suspicious about them except Faye?????  Huh???

discussing Arianna was too much as well.  I mean the girl was killed a couple of months ago and now, all of a sudden, it’s being brought to light in such a way as to have Brady and Melanie talking about her like it happened yesterday.  Where has the general concern over Arianna been for the last several months.  Certainly, Brady wasn’t thinking about her while he was banging the hell out of Nicole all the while they were together.  He certainly wasn’t thinking about her then with fond desire, now was he?  Such b/s writing.

you completely convinced yourself that everyone was going to vote David off and you were dead wrong, were you not?  A little too confident for someone who was way more manipulative when all you were trying to do was vote off a stronger player than yourself.  But then, you never did well in challenges at any time, so does it really surprise you that everyone but you saw that you just couldn’t cut it?  Should have kept your mouth shut, at least until after the merge.  You looked shocked when it was your name called to be the next one sent to Redemption Island.  I don’t know why, though.  Like David told you when you got up from your seat, next time don’t be so sure of yourself, or words to that effect.  Let’s see if you can dethrone Matt.  Wouldn’t think so.

my 19 year old grandson’s 2′ skinny little corn snake escaped from his tank one day and we didn’t find him until the next day.  Fortunately, for me, my 5 year old grandson found him on the bed and picked him up, put him back in his tank, and secured the lid.

maybe because Benny and the Jets was my all-time favorite Elton John song.  Lauren did a terrific job with Candle in the Wind.  Funny how they put that one country song in for Scotty, which was very considerate of the producers, I thought.  Loved his attention to his grandma.  What a sweet kid.  James was a little too "show-dog" for me last night, but he does have a great talent as a rocker, and he seems to do well with pretty much anything he sings, so far.  I just didn’t like him "all over the place" last night.  Pia is a great ballad singer and she did great with "Don’t Let The Sun Come Down on Me.", and she knows it.  It’s almost as if she’s afraid to take it up a notch for fear of losing her place on the ballads totem pole, but if anyone is becoming a one-trick pony, it’s her.  Stefano was so much better last night, and it was obvious he "connected" well with the audience as well as the judges.  I had to laugh every time Jennifer said his name, though.  She kept saying "STEF’.a.no" instead of "Ste.FAN’.o."  Made me think Joe M. was in the house.  Paul, take your skinny butt and that raggedy flowered suit back to wherever it is you came from.  I find myself now lining up my pee-break when he’s up.  Steven’s dig about his suit growing more flowers than last time he wore it was too funny.  He looks like a clown in that thing.  Jacob sounded like he belonged in the choir, clapping his hands and moving side to side rather than being up front on stage.  The young man has grown cold, and they need to stop telling him how magnificent he is, because he’s not.  I absolutely love Naima, and didn’t think she did a bad thing with the raggae twist.  They keep telling these kids to ‘make it their own’ and she did and I give her credit for it.  She has terrific stage presence, and I can’t help but like this girl a lot.  Casey was Casey, and he’s still shining, but I could very well be wrong, but I don’t see him winning.  Thia has such a soft, natural and beautiful voice.  I can’t put my finger on what’s wrong with her, probably a certain shyness about her performances, like someone just going before a live audience for the first time and having stage fright.  I do like her, though.  Anyway, my favorite last night was definitely Haley, and my pick to go home, as always and forever hopeful —- Paul.

and I just referenced the same thing above.  I know there will be some controversy on this one, but I have to say, Will and Gabi never did to appear to be "in love" but they were dating exclusively, and this is bound to affect her.
