but seems one thing is for sure — he’s not a good guy right now.  Now I’m wondering whether Quinn will be a really bad guy who will use Chloe to his advantage, or a semi-bad guy who will be torn between his reasons for using Chloe to his advantage in the beginning, but winds up falling hopelessly in love with her.  I’m leaning toward the second option, because 1) I think Quinn is really a cutie and he and Chloe have good chemistry; and 2) Chloe needs a character make-over really, really bad.  She needs to find a light at the end of the tunnel; otherwise, I’m not so sure she’s not walking into a trap that will really send her over the edge.  I certainly don’t think Quinn is working alone …. as evidenced by the phone call telling "someone" he was busy with something else right now and that they should handle it.

besides, they have the seal of approval from Sheri Anderson, and that’s enough said for me.   Sheri was the best of the best, IMHO.

and not only Rafe-2 should have to pay for it, but Stefano and E.J. should, too, since they created this Frankenstein to begin with.  Just like they should ALL pay for Faye’s death.  I know R-2 did the crime, and they still don’t know he killed Faye, but they are responsible for his creation, so I think that makes them just as guilty for his wrong-doings.

thought she had it "in the bag".  She was given such praise by the judges on most nights, especially Steven Tyler, who constantly told how great she was, how beautiful, and that her singing was "sexy" (as evidenced by the outfits she wore), and I truly believe she thought she was a sure finalist and that Scotty or Lauren were the ones who would be on the chopping block.  But in her favor, she did come back and do my favorite song for her, "Benny and the Jets," and once again she knocked it out of the park.

I’d be willing to bet that Rafe still will not condemn E.J. in front of Johnny.  He and Sami, unlike Stefano and Elvis, will delicately explain to Johnny that Rafe has been sick and had to go away for awhile, but that he’s back and much better now, and loves Johnny as much as ever.  E.J. will get it from all sides once this comes to light, because his days of karma are coming fast and furious now ….. of that I’m sure.

I’m so extremely excited about this.  I don’t know what took Ken Corday so long to come to his senses, but thank God he finally did.  Plus, I have no respect for a HR who doesn’t even watch the show she writes for.  All she’s ever done was show up, scratch out some ideas, collect a paycheck and leave, then leave it up to the real writers, the script writers, to make sense of it.  Don’t let the door hit ya’ Dena.

but if I had to choose who won last night, it would be Scotty.  I did like Lauren’s "I Hope You Dance".  She did a nice job with that.  The other two were, in Randy’s words, ‘just okay for me.’  If she makes it to the finale, I think her nerves are going to be her downfall.

Simply said, I just don’t like Haley.  I don’t know what it is; but maybe it’s because I think she screams most of her songs rather than sings them.  The judges tried to praise her efforts, but they just couldn’t, or wouldn’t, give her their true feelings, that being doubt in her song choices.  I don’t think the fall hurt her, but I also don’t think it helped either.  Nice to see her dad perform with her.  That was a first, I believe.

In any case, I’m hoping it will be Scotty and Lauren in the finale.  Two good performers who, although clearly country at heart, have been shown that they can diversify if the song is right for them, both have terrific stage presence when they are "really on", and just look as cute as can be when they’re performing.  I also think they have better voices than Haley.

My track record isn’t great, because I was so sure James would be the next American Idol, but I’m going with Scotty (which probably means Haley will win it — LOL).  I agree with J-Lo — I like Scotty’s hair short like he first appeared in auditions.

of the S.P.D., it’s how the DiMeras, and anyone else who we, the audience, know committed the crime and gets away with it …. they can never find any real evidence …. all they have is either circumstantial or winds up being stolen or tainted …. they never have anything solid that will hold up in court; and, if they do and they manage to hold onto it, then there’s always the bought and paid for judges or lawyers or fake eye- witnesses.  Sometimes it pays to commit crime in Salem …. and the DiMeras are proof of that.  Maybe Sami had the right idea after all …. just shoot the bastard, only next time keep your eyes open and aim straight.  No one will ever put these people in jail.  Even if they do, chances are they’ll be out overnight.  No, that’s not the way this is going to play.  I have alway believed that the only way to exact revenge on a DiMera is to play by their rules and open up a can of whoop-ass on them once and for all, and I think I know just the person who’s going to do that.  The justice I see for Sami is to have Rafe convince Stefano, E.J., and Nicole that he is really Rafe2; get whatever form of proof he needs, and then sit back and let Rafe, the FBI agent, take them down.  Either way, I’m tired of so many crimes going unpunished.  The writing has been so much better this month, I have to hope it is continued and that this storyline breaks the golden rule of soap operas, and somebody is finally held accountable for their sins …. and for the sins of the father as well.

and I was indeed reduced to tears when Hines got so emotional over it.  It certainly wasn’t expected, but it really showed me what kind of person he is.  Here’s this powerfully strong professional footballer showing his sensitivity for the world to see, even though it was an accidental injury.  These pros push the limit so above and beyond what the competitors are expected to be able to do, that it’s getting to be an expected event to suffer some sort of injury.  Just seems to me they are getting more frequent and more profound each year.

Anyway, I love Mark and Chelsea, but I really believe that Hines and Kim will win it.  I give all the props in the world and beyond to Kirstie.  For her age and size, to have hung in there all the way to the finals is the best compliment anyone could give to her.  And it wasn’t all because of Maks.  She really is very a good dancer, and her personality just makes her shine, for me anyway.

I feel bad for Ralph, but when it gets near the end like this, and we know someone has to go, it’s always sad after watching the efforts for so many weeks, to have to watch someone go home; but, Ralph has been struggling, even before the injury.  He seemed to just be running out of steam, and could never appear to me to be agile enough, no matter how well he danced.  Some of his dances were extremely well done, but some were sort of wooden.  Regardless of the sympathy I felt for Ralph and Karina, I think the right stars were eliminated.

YET …. and that’s all I know about that right now.  It is, to me anyway, highly unlikely that this story (which, by the way, has me glued to my sofa right now) will continue on for however much longer without Stefano eventually finding out that E.J. is being blackmailed by Nicole.  I’m thinking the whole thing being blown out of the water will somehow involve Vivian Alamain, Kate, and even Sami and Rafe once all of the puzzle pieces start to fit.  Vivian knows that the DiMeras were holding someone in a cell in the basement, but not who because the DNA was classified.  Nicole was the one who fished the crumpled paperwork from the trash after Vivian chucked it thinking it useless for her plans, and it was Nicole who took the initiative to have it de-classified and that’s how she knew it was Rafe being held prisoner.  Slowly, she started to unravel the puzzle pieces concerning Rafe Hernandez’s sudden change of personality and consequently his disappearance.  I think when E.J. has had it with his life of misery caused to him now by being in a loveless marriage with Nicole, but loving her sister, that that’s when he will share his misery with Stefano, and things might then start to look pretty bleak for Nicole.  Of course, like all of my ramblings, this is pure speculation —- but I hope they keep this one going for a while, because there are so many others affected by this incredible story line.  Personally, I don’t want Nicole or E.J. to win, and they can be miserable together for the rest of their lives for all I care.  They both truly do deserve each other.

how long is it going to take for E.J. to snap.  He almost did today.  She as much knows there’s not a lawyer or judge in the land who a DiMera can’t but or have recused, and she certainly knows that if Stefano ever finds out she’s blackmailing E.J., nothing and no one will save her from a fate I unfortunately find she deserves.  She stands to lose everything by playing the heavy with E.J. DiMera.  I like Nicole, but I don’t have much sympathy for her predicament.  I never, ever thought I would say this, but E.J. was right when he told her today that he realizes that she’s had an abusive childhood, and that it no doubt made her the lying, scheming, blackmailer she is today, and that she certainly is not without sin in their marital/business arrangement.  That’s Nicole, and that’s the only way she knows how to roll.  She’d better be careful, though, because she is taking the role of the black widow spider, who eventually kills and eats her mate, much to seriously.  She can demand all she wants that they be a match made in heaven in public, but Nicole appears desperately pathetic to me right now, and not too far from deserving of what’s coming her way ….. and that’s BEFORE Sami gets wind that she knew what E.J.’s plans were when she entered this marriage of convenience, which was to cut Sami and Rafe completely out, and become the mother to the child she stole from Sami in the first place.  No, sorry, but my sympathy went out the window for Nicole as soon as she switched baby Grace for baby Sydney, because she wanted Sami’s child from E.J., and Johnny just happened to come with the package deal.  Careful, Nikki, "something wicked cometh your way" and it rrrrrrrolls it’s rrrrrr’s and quietly gets it’s rrrrrrrevenge, and you are not a threat to it now, nor will you ever be.

and why do they have to make her so orange?  I wonder if they even realize how that looks, especially in Hi-Def.

I know that several months ago Drake Hogeystn was most certainly spotted at the studio, and it was reported in one of the soap rags that he definitely had been in talks with TPTB.  Unfortunately, guess it didn’t work out for him.  Could be he’s better off for it, though, and only we will be the ones worse off.

maybe he will be the one to finally get Carly the help she needs, and then they will rekindle whatever made them attracted to one another in the first place.  I like Jen and Dan, but after seeing Jen’s sorrow when she got those final divorce papers from Justin, and then breaking the date with Daniel, it was obvious to me where they were going with this.  Jen is still in love with Jack, and even though she would like to move on with Daniel, seeing a return of Jack would make that nearly impossible, especially if Jack has been holed up in some hospital or something, not even knowing anything had happened to Jennifer.  Oh, well, the story is supposed to be "big" according to SOD, but you know the media’s meaning of "big" is another boring triangle.

but the current cast, not including the sitting around, walk-on extras, now stands at 45, including kids, maids and butlers, henchmen, etc., so contract or recurring, they are all used quite a bit when the plot calls for it, and they’re all still here.  What I can’t believe is they have John Aniston listed as recurring.  In any case, 45 actors on one soap is way to many to write for.  No wonder they hop around so much.
