Participantwhen you have small children, a ‘Martha Stewart’ Christmas is not what they want to see.
Patti
Participantbut at least he won the $100 Grand. He and Rob are this show’s best players, ever.
Patti
Participantand they still run them on one of the cable channels, mostly late night/twilight time, which I guess is understandable. When I see them I record them, just to renew the nostalgia of those black and white shows. They’re also re-running The Alfred Hitchcock hourly shows, which I also totally loved. AH made sure he was always in an opening or closing scene. Loved those shows.

ParticipantE.J. and Nicole I gag every time they whisper sweet nothings in each other’s ear, especially E.J., since that’s all they are. Uh-huh …. lie right to her face, why don’t cha’? He disgusts me to no end. Rafe and Carrie ….. DEFINITELY NOT, whether Sami gets her *hit together or not. And please stop writing Austin and Abbey as a …. ‘gee, I wonder’ when all she’s looking for is a father figure for what she believes to be a missing dad in her life. Kate is her own worst enemy when it comes to her hair/wardrobe, which I understand to be mostly her own decisions. Marlena, when you do go back to work, I have a feeling you’re going to have a full waiting room ….. and that most of them are going to be in your own family. LOL!

Participantwe have another unbelievable story to deal with that so far I find absolutely boring.

ParticipantBo (PR) is a perfect example of someone NOT getting older….just getting BETTER. And you are so right; he looks even sexier in his glasses.

ParticipantI have always loved Sami. Now, I must admit that she is not progressing as well as I imagined she would, even with Rafe and a job. Maybe she is no longer KC’s golden girl who can do no wrong in his eyes. Seems to me past several sets of writers simply do not want to improve the character, and she seems to be receding instead of moving forward. Maybe they just don’t care as much about the character or the actress, but, I just can’t help myself, I love Sami, always have, always will, even though I might not always like what she does. She is a major, major character on this show, like it or not, and though everyone complains about her, she will always be one of my faves.

Participanta complete lack of research, or even caring, what happened to the character before they mention in a scene that Carrie texts her mother. Somebody should really be reprimanded for that one. It’s not like the last time we saw Anna, she wasn’t part of a front-burner storyline, and then, poof, she’s gone; and then, out of the blue, poof, she’s surmized to be alive and well and receiving a text from her daughter, AND has an ornament bearing her name hanging on the tree in the HTS. Am I complaining too much about this oversight? I don’t think so …. as a matter of fact, it makes more than one person on the writing staff look like an imbicile to me. JMO!

Participantby knowing what he did to John and allowing her to think differently just so he can keep her on his side. He knows exactly why John is behind bars for a crime that he (E.J.) committed (admitted to by both him and Stefano in their private conversations); yet, he continues to berate John to the media (with Nicole’s help), and chastising Abe every chance he gets (again, through the media) by condemning him for being John’s friend when Abe should supposedly be looking out for (in E.J.’s words) "the good people of Salem" and what John’s crime has cost them. He KNOWS he can use Nicole to run a mud-slinging, dirty campaign while, at the same time, he’s using her love for him to keep her loyal to him and in his bed. That’s loyal and loving?????? Not to me.

ParticipantI think he did the right thing for his own good. He’s got enough to worry about in his future without Jennifer running through a swinging door, wanting to have her cake and eat it too. She’s the one who needs Marlena, and she certainly isn’t helping either Jack or Daniel, let alone herself. I’m telling you, she is hurting both of them more than helping them with her indecisiveness, and constantly keeping both of them hanging on. I’m happy Daniel made the decision he did, if he even sticks to it under this silly arrangement, that is.
Patti
Participantjust things I read; however, I don’t post them until I’m sure they’re not just rumors, and that I’ve seen them in more than one reliable place. I say this about E.J. now, because although he puts on a great act with and for Nicole, all the while he’s lying through his teeth to her on a daily basis. Just wait until she finds out he was actually the one who set up John and is the reason John is behind bars for a crime he did not commit. I think he likes having her loving, warm body in his bed, but he definitely is not IN LOVE with her. Here’s another hint …. watch him when Sami and Rafe renew their vows.
Patti
Participantwell, up until Marlena decided to french kiss that strawberry after John bit in in half, all while gazing into John’s eyes. That part sort of grossed me out. It was like, and excuse me for saying it this way, she was trying to soak up his essence. Otherwise, I loved their scenes yesterday.

Participantfrom the start. He knew Jennifer was extremely upset over Jack’s disappearance, as well as Abbey, and, even more importantly, he knew how much Jennifer loved Jack and still he let himself get involved. He knew their history, and maybe Abbey’s rejection of Jack had something to do with Daniel believing it could work for them …… as long as Jack stayed away. I did love Daniel’s line yesterday …… "I won’t be bachelor No. 2" ….. good for you Daniel. But then you came out with "I never thought I would ever find love after Chloe" ….. well, what did it take you …. all of about a month? And then there’s Jennifer, who’s conflicted. Well then, all I can suggest is YOU should have been the one to walk away from Daniel instead of hanging on to both of them, as undecided now as you were when you all started this silly dating game. I’ve lost a lot of respect for Jennifer since this storyline came on, and I would be perfectly okay with Jack finding someone else who would not have to keep him dangling on a string while he is being ‘considered.’ Hmmmmmm…… Billie???

Participant1 an adult (ok, fine); 2 in 1st grade (maybe) and 1 still in pre-k or family care, and you decide to take on an executive position after being out of work for years, with very little experience in the position they are taking on, then what else is to be expected except failure? As far as a ‘back-up’ plan, unless a mother has a ‘built-in-babysitter’ (such as a retired grandma …. oh, that would be me or Caroline), who can be relied on 99 and 44/100’s percent of the time, you can forget last-minute telephone calls to the alternate babysitter list either. It’s either that or changing your hours to coincide with your kids’ school hours (yes, they should have been in school anyway), and also arrange for after-school care program until their non-working father can pick them up. Then, when you have no time to spend on helping them with their homework or share in their day’s progress, you can blame it on your job, and all of your kids wind up like Sami anyway, believing they were ignored, abandoned, or whatever reason comes to mind from being neglected. Go figure. Sami will never succeed in any position, because she "doesn’t know how to work."
