There is absolutely no chemistry between both of these forced couples, IMO. I can only hope they nip it in the bud long before we have to watch this mess. It has really turned me off to all 4 characters, especially Rafe and Carrie, who claim to love their spouses and are very affectionate to their own spouses, even with the lustful, over-the-shoulder looks shared between Carrie and Rafe. Abbey and Austin are slightly different, in that I think Abbey’s feelings are more of an infatuation with a man who is virtually oblivious of a young woman who is practically family. Hopefully Jack and Jennifer will soon become aware of this and stop it before it goes any further …. or at least let Austin in on it before it goes too far.
Marlena knows she did wrong by Sami; she’s admitted it over and over, but she is now at last making the effort to mend fences with her daughter. Sami is still in her me…me…me…phase, but I have a feeling she will finally begin to see the light when she realizes that everyone in Salem will know her son is gay except for her, because she is as blind to Will’s needs as she feels Marlena was/is to hers. Good story, though, and acted beautifully by all.
loved the last girl; but then, why wouldn’t I? She’s from Baltimore, Maryland. Lots of good talent last night. So glad they’re not showing too much psycho-drama this season. It’s a complete turn-off for me to watch that kind of staged nonsense. J-Lo looked very pretty last night, and thank you, Steven, for losing the pimp look and being more yourself last night. Now, if you could only lose the black nail polish, that would be great. Randy doesn’t change much from season to season, but at least he’s not "doggin" it too much right now. I’m going to predict right now that the young man who looks and sings like Justin Bieber will be in the finals.
January 21st on, of all channels, GSN. The new season (season 14) starts in the spring, 2012. They are looking for suggestions according to the ABC.com/dancingwiththestars site.
whether it’s a continuity issue; a storyline issue; or even neglecting to follow history, especially when it’s decided to SORAS a character. I’m beginning to realize that these new writers are the worst yet when it comes to following some simple guidelines for writing a successful soap opera.
As for Marlena, I could not agree more in that Sami is absolutely right when she gets on Marlena about being there for her (Sami) in her time of need. It’s not all Sami’s fault that she’s the way she is. She has some definite reasons to be p.o.’d at Marlena and John, and sometimes it’s just too late to say I’m sorry, on either side, when the hurt goes that deep. I’m afraid that’s why Will can’t discuss his problems with his mother, and vice-versa — they should both be as straight with each other (mother and son) as they are demanding everyone should be with them. JMO.
and I was surprised they had so many put through to Hollywood on the first audition. I really liked the first kid, though. I just hope he’s not going to be another Astro (X-Factor) with that cocky attitude he seemed to have, but no doubt the young man can sing. Just hope he’s a little more humble than Astro was. I loved the last young man and was somewhat shocked when he started to sing. I was expecting pure country, and was pleasantly surprised when he did his own version of Stevie Wonder’s Superstition. Loved him, so it was the first and the last performers as my favorites from Atlanta.
Incidentally, I love Steven Tyler with all my heart, but he sure did look more than a little "loopy" to me last night. LOL!
it’s true, Celeste Perrault is returning to Salem, but Tanya Boyd will not be portraying her due to a scheduling conflict, and that the character will be re-cast. Too bad, because Tanya Boyd was wonderful as Celeste.
as a matter of fact, I believe she is married to the new character who will be portrayed by Ian Buchanan. I believe they are still married, and that he has a past with Kate, so one question I have is if they are planning to take down Kate and Countess W., why would she be mentioning in yesterday’s phone call (assuming it was with the new character, Ian) that she needs to talk to him about Titan? Either/or, I think Madison is a huge wolf in sheep’s clothing, and Brady’s dreams are soon going to turn into nightmares …. that’s my guess, anyway!
what anyone thinks, as long as they keep collecting their undeserved paycheck from week to week. I never believed this would happen —- AGAIN —- but Ken Corday goes from the frying pan to the fire with writers. I only post on this board, but I lurk on many, and I have not seen any positive reaction to these writers for a while now. As a matter of fact, they seem to be going downhill on a sheet of ice …. on a daily basis. Not good for our show!!!
Madison is in on it – it’s a plan to take down Kate — you’ll see more toward end of this week. Don’t know if Brady is in on it though.

The new DWTS starts this month, too. Wonder who the stars will be this time around. Anybody know yet?
and it makes sense with Billie returning. I cannt think of a better thing to happen to Kate right now, so perhaps Madison and her "silent" partner’s revenge is on Kate DiMera after all. God, I would love that.
in partner’s with for the safe-deposit box? Was she blackmailing Stefano for saving E.J. or because she knows more about E.J. than Stefano would ever want anyone else to know? Is Stefano her partner in the ownership of the safety-deposit box? If so, would he not be it’s sole owner now? Or, is it someone in Alice’s family who knows the truth; perhaps Doug or Julie??? February sweeps starts in about 2 weeks (around 1/27/12) so I’m looking forward to ending this mystery, mainly because it’s tarnishing Alice’s image for me.
