Participantaside from the fact that Julie spent little to no time with Nick Fallon, or his storyline for that matter, for her to now be all gung-ho about Nick’s release just boggles my mind. However, that being said, everyone who is familiar with Nick’s and Mel’s history should also realize that not only did Nick sign over the rights of his alternative fuel project to Mel because he truly loved her and wanted to protect her future, but he felt sure he was going to get a life sentence for Killing Trent. During his sentencing, Maggie and Melanie both gave heartfelt testimonies on Nick’s behalf. As a result, though, it was Mel’s testimony, forgiving Nick and praising him to the judge that persuaded the judge to re-assess her decision on a life sentence, and Nick received a sentence of two to five years, although with good behavior Nick would be eligible for parole in eighteen months. Nick thanked Melanie for her testimony and asked Max and Chelsea to keep his project out of the wrong hands. He also shared one last emotional good-bye with his first love, Chelsea. Taking all this into consideration, I do remember that Maggie, Chelsea, Melanie, Max, Philip, and a few others were all at Nick’s sentencing, but, JULIE, …. nowhere in sight. I think there’s going to be a lot more to this than we’re even contemplating at this point.

Participantbut it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if your first sentence wasn’t right as well. After all, we never saw Jack’s body or his cremation. Please, new writers, don’t go there. Stefano’s return from the dead, again, was enough.

Participantto Maggie and Daniel’s conversation, it’s clear to me that Nicole is going to do everything in her power to see to it that Jack and Jennifer do not reunite. She’s being written so pathetic now. I hope they return Nicole Walker to the screen soon.

Participant(cremated off-screen, evidently) to Jack, Jr., so they could be together as a family and disperse them. Guess JJ, who now has decided he wants to be called "Jack", couldn’t come to Salem, so they are taking the ashes to him.

Participantthe only critique I have is the fight between Ian and E.J. Ian Buchanan is 55 years old; James Scott is 33; Ian is 6 feet tall; James is 6 feet four inches tall; Ian is definitely on the thin side; James is obviously heavier, so, I thought it looked silly when Ian threw James to the floor so easily. Then, when E.J. threw the punch that did knock Ian out, the punch itself was out of sort, because it looked to me as if James clearly missed Ian’s chin. I know it’s difficult for an actor to fake a punch, but James’ was really off.
I still feel like they have a lot of explaining to do with regard to Ian’s plan, as well as Stefano’s faked death before I can accept it, though. Seems to me there is still a great deal to be explained and/or revealed before Ian actually leaves the canvas for good.

Participantthe police captain, Sean Renard, is the brother of the true prince, Eric Renard. Captain Renard is the first revealed hybrid; he is the bastard son of a human royal father and a hexenbiest mother.
If you want to read more about the Captain, which is fascinating to say the least, see:

Participantafter Sami’s scenes with Rafe today. She finally admitted that she ruined everything she touched, and that she didn’t know why she did the things she did, and especially that that was just the way she was, and probably always will be. I think that’s the first time she admitted all that. I definitely hope she does put her kids first. I don’t see her keeping away from men for too long, though. Especially since Rafe was practically forgiving her today by showing her how much he still cared for her. He may still be the one they decide to match her up with, but in time, I hope …. not right away. She might want to make amends with Marlena in the meantime, and get some serious help now. I would like to see that for Sami in the future.
As for Nicole, I read that she is going to be determined not to let go of Daniel, so I can see her taking advantage of Jennifer’s offer if for no other reason than to keep Daniel away from Jennifer. If she suspects Jen and Daniel are becoming too close, even though it’s way too soon for that to happen, she’ll try her hardest to nip it in the bud. Either way, it would be totally wrong if either of them started having feelings before a proper grief period after Jack’s death; but, I’m thinking Nicole won’t see it that way and will do everything in her power to keep that from happening.

Participantout of anybody’s pockets. I dread what will happen when Nick returns. It was understandable that she would take his side during the Nick/Melanie fiasco that eventually sent him to jail; what’s she going to do now that Mel is her granddaughter and Nick is her great nephew or something. His mother is Jessica Fallon, who is Marie Horton’s daughter. I wonder if Julie will have anything to do with Nick’s story and if it will affect Mel’s exit storyline.

ParticipantI have never cared for Nadia’s acting. Beautiful girl, but not a good actress, IMO.
Patti
Participantbut as far as I can remember, Stefano’s mother (Santo’s wife) lived in Toscana, Italy; however, we never saw and never were told her name. I can’t help but feel that this is all still on the table to be revealed in Alice’s "real" letter, and yes I do believe there is one, and that it will prove that Alice was protecting someone very very close to her.

Participantshe was married to Stefano, and he knew that no matter what he did for her, even if it was part of Ian’s sick plan to draw her into his web of deceit, he still realized that she was, and always would be, in love with Stefano, not him. I’ve seen some psychos on this show, but I must say, Ian was one of the best. It might have been interesting to hold onto him for a while longer.

Participantif it’s the intent of the writers to have us believe that the guy in Stefano’s chair at the mansion, talking to everyone who was coming and going that night turns out to be just "somebody Ian found who looked like him" would really be starting their writing out on the wrong foot. As a matter of fact, that would be incredulous, not to mention preposterous.
Patti
Participantand thinking ‘who in the world is Paulo’, but I don’t recall him saying he was a twin of Stefano’s. That would at least make sense, but I recall suspecting Stefano may have had a twin. He is supposed to be a 7th son, isn’t he?
Patti
Participantthis one is close to unwatchable for me. It was almost too obvious today that Daniel still cares for Jennifer (with a little help from Maggie), even though he won’t admit it. How convenient for him that Jack died and Jennifer will need consoling. But I don’t expect Nicole to give up Daniel without a fight. Her and Sami need to go on retreat together or something and lay off the men for a while.
Patti
Participantor was Stefano wearing a "Hannibal Lecter" mask? I swear, that scene just made me laugh out loud. And are we not going to have an explanation of why he was pronounced dead by the coroner at the mansion? I guess Ian shot him with a bullet dipped in something that would make him appear dead; nevermind the fact that the bullet supposedly went through the back of the chair, entered his back, piercing his heart, and exiting through his chest.
