Participanttoo much for granted …. again ….. I couldn’t help but laugh out loud at Victor’s lines today. I think I would have the hardest time trying to act out a scene with him. His wit may be the result of the writers’ pen, but the way he delivers his lines, along with his wide-eyed expressions, is what really makes his scenes so successful, no matter who’s in them with him. I must say, I like Maggie much more when she gets feisty with Victor, even though she does seem to be a bit over-bearing when she’s trying to make her point. I guess I can’t help but still love them together. As for Jennifer volunteering to take Nicole in …. I guess she still hasn’t learned her lesson where Nicole’s apologies are concerned. That little show Nikki put on for her and Abe today probably gave Jennifer some false hope where Nic’s REAL intentions lie.

Participantif he and Stefano mend fences, which I’m sure they will now that they both know what Ian did. But now they’re not left to their own devices in their criminal world; they will no doubt have help along the way from Chad as well as Kristen. Now, I’m no fan of Nicole, but I see her life going downhill at a high rate of speed when her lies surface. Once her child is born, hers will be a life of hell, that’s for sure. Between Stefano’s and E.J.’s overbearing influence, added to the return of Kristen Blake, not to be over-shadowed by Chad going all DiMera on everyone and looking for his own way to prove his self to his new ‘familial’, I see Nicole’s future in big trouble. She better borrow Sami’s gun, cause I think she’s gonna’ need it to stop E.J. from taking her baby.

ParticipantWhen Max went to find Mel in France after finding out then that she was his sister, Nick found Mel’s "party premier girl" blogger account. He told Max where to find Mel. When Nick found out that Trent was pimping Mel out to his sick friends like a cash cow, he went to France to get Melanie away from them. He found one of Trent’s men with Mel on a boat getting ready to abuse Melanie. In attempting their escape, Max was shot in the shoulder. That’s what started him taking the pain pills, which he then became addicted to.

ParticipantI think these new creatures were the writers way of introducing Hank to Nick’s mythological life. Hank was beginning to feel like he was losing his mind and was pretty close to giving up. The Coyotles were simply new creatures invented to interweave Hank into Nick’s world by making the girl and her father a part of Hank’s personal life. The dad was not only an old and dear friend of Hank’s, but Hank was also the girls godfather. This seemed to me to be the way to finally bring Hank into Nick’s storyline by allowing him to see the changes for his self while, at the same time, explaining Nick’s world to Hank, and finally allowing Hank to understand it. I loved it.
When we think about the original fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty, the only way that the princess was awakened from her sleep of death was when the prince kissed her, so I definitely think they went with that part of the story as to how Juliette woke up….by the Captain kissing her. He is the bastard son of royalty and his brother, Eric, is the true prince, thus the captain is half human, half beast. I think that’s why he works with Nick in the first place. He likes Nick, but he knows what he (the captain) is as well. He knows that Nick is a Grimm, and knew the reason behind Juliette’s falling into the coma caused by the cat scratch. Captain Renard knew that by taking the potion in an attempt to make him all-human, he was the only one who could awaken her. Hope she gets her memory of Nick back soon. For me, this is one of the best series on right now, although I can’t wait for the return of Once Upon A Time as well.
Brilliant writers for this show ….. wish we had them on DAYS! LOL!

Participantand knew everyone had turned against her. So, he convinced her to move into Maggies’s with him. He also had her believe that SHE killed Trent (she was knocked unconscious at the cemetery after fighting off Trent and hitting her head on a tombstone). Meanwhile, Nick told her that he was there and saw her stab Trent, knowing all along it was him. He convinced his self that it was because he was trying to protect Mel, and he wanted her to run away with him. He took her to the airport hotel where Nick insisted that they should get married so they wouldn’t have to tesify against one another. Melanie became uncomfortable with his increasingly aggressive behavior, not wanting to let her out of his sight. After Nick stabbed some ice with an ice pick, Melanie flashed back to the night of Trent’s murder and realized that Nick was the one who killed Trent. She confronted Nick, who insisted that everything he did was for their future. A struggle ensued on the balcony and Nick accidentally let go of Melanie once Bo Brady kicked the door in (accompanied by Philip and Hope). Melanie was hanging on for dear life over the balcony, but Philip and Bo were able to pull Melanie up to safety. Hope arrested Nick for the murder of Trent Robbins and he was hauled off to jail.

Participantpeople tend to get bored in between sweeps months. We don’t usually think of August as a ‘sweeps’ month. It is, and and that’s when we got the DAYSaster, the deaths of Jack and Madison, Ian’s explosive reveal of Stefano being alive, as well as his confessing his heinous plan to Kate and to E.J., confessing to shooting a Stefano look-alike, and the fact that E.J. and Stefano were really biological father and son; Andrew’s kidnapping of Melanie, leading to his eventual death, and the list goes on and on. Now, it’s time to set the stories for November sweeps, which hopefully will bring the Nick Fallon storyline to a head, but not before affecting a lot of the cast, yet show how a good umbrella storyline plays out; and, of course, Nicole will hopefully give birth to a healthy child, bringing her and those who conspired with her to face a whole new bag of life’s challenges because of the lies and manipulations (which we all know will come out eventually). So, right now I’m content to sit back, relax and wait to see what the new writers provide for Fall. I have a feeling it’s going to be a lot more exciting than what’s being perceived right now. At least I hope so. My new interest now is Bo’s exit story.

ParticipantPart-time barmaid/caregiver and mama’s little helper, Kayla Johnson, M.D, returns to Salem U. Hospital as Chief-of-Staff. Glad to hear it, Kayla; back where you belong.

Participantand he will undoubtedly prove it soon, probably within the next few weeks. So he’s a bit boring and a ‘bit of a downer’ right now? Well, I tend to look at his situation, where he is, what happened to him recently when someone tried to kill him in jail, and now realizing that if he is paroled, it will probably hurt Melanie very much. If that’s not reasons to be down, then I don’t know what is. When he comes back to Salem, I’m positive his acting (as long as he has a good story line) will outshine practically every other young actor on this show (maybe with the exception of Kate Mansi); but especially Casey Diedrick’s, who has turned Chad into a big dissappointment for me, just for his poor acting alone. No wonder Melanie is thinking about dumping him. He has emulated another DiMera control freak, hovering, over-bearing maniac with her, who not only won’t let her make her own decisions, but is now demanding to "take care of her situatin" or, initially, her life. Ugh, go away Chad. Bring back Nick …… can’t wait.

Participantit should have it’s own "new topic" and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with saying that.

Participantlet’s see how you feel when they take away your medicare and social security. I’m so sick of right-wingnuts in Washington, D.C. and everywhere else for that matter. And, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let’s not turn this into a political comments board. There are plenty of them out there that people can go to to express their views. I hate to see these obnoxious debates on my soap opera message board. Besides, I thought the topic of this post was Hurricane Isaac!!!!
Why doesn’t someone open a special topic on politics …. what’s wrong with that? Then I don’t have to waste my time opening and reading posts that will undoubtedly piss more people off than have them enjoy it.

Participantinject more of the Horton clan. When the old writers were fired and Tomlin and Whitesell were announced, the first thing I remember reading was that the show would be returning to "core" families, and what better place to start than the Hortons. I believe Nick’s avenues are endless, especially since he was a brilliant Associate Law Professor at Salem U., who invented an alternative fuel additive, and wound up giving it to Melanie, who tried to sell it to Titan and then E.J., resulting in nothing but the loss of it altogether. What has always left me wondering where Nick is concerned was that he was the lab tech who did the original paternity test on Sami’s twins, which eventually wound up in Stefano’s hands. Now, with Nick getting out of jail, and since Sami’s dialogue when she’s talking to either E.J. or Lucas, endlessly remind them that they are the "father of 2 of her children," I’m now left to wonder if Johnny will wind up being Lucas’ and not E.J.’s. For the record, here is a list of Nick’s relatives:

Participantchose to leave her there since they weren’t writing for her character anyway, leaving her a little more than disgruntled. Since there was no storyline, no writing, and no future story for ISA Agent, Billie Reed, the actress simply decided to walk. And that’s JMO.

Participantwas there when the explosions happened and knows first-hand how devastating the aftermath was, even if she didn’t know at the time that Mel was stuck in the tunnels with a psycho. So, for me, yes, that was sort of a dumb lead-in for her to say why she felt Mel should know about the parole hearing. Then she goes to the hospital on Melanie’s first day back to work in an attempt to further her cause. I’m sure that rocked Melanie’s world, right after the disaster she went through in the tunnels. I’m guess what I’m sort of complaining more about is that I’m just not used to Julie acting so unconsciously or thoughtlessly. She’s usually the one with her head on straight.
