but let’s just say he was let go a lot sooner than expected, and if he was that upset when they called him released him on the spot, it did very much affect him, so to me it just seemed that he was not prepared to leave that suddenly and there was no finality in his notice. He expected to work through the end of his contract. I guess I feel the word “fired” rings true, because the article stated that “Massey was ‘devastated and in tears’ when he was called into executive producer Greg Meng’s office and informed that his contract would be terminated early.”
which are now counted in the household audience ratings, I find that to be a limited excuse as to why the show is dropping once again in ratings. If a person owns a computer, there’s no reason to miss a show either, since there are many ways to watch full episodes, which are a mere one-day behind the actual live airing. So, I just can’t buy that. Even people who are on vacation can catch up quickly. Unfortunately, I think the writers are not making the show interesting enough for fans to care that much.
and have remained there for quite some time, IMO. The same characters and their storylines are being repeated daily, and the show has become a snooze-fest for me. I don’t even try to watch it live now; I just DVR it since I feel I have much better things to do with that time in my day. Shame on whoever has put this wonderful soap opera in this position where the ratings have once again taken a nose-dive. Shame on you all.
over-zealous attitude, she makes me laugh out loud, especially since it’s all done for effect, which will, in the end, be all for naught, I’m sure. But, honestly, she doesn’t bug me half as much throughout this Sami Brady “jail time” as do the shenanigans of E. J. What in the hell are these writers doing to this guy? I feel the need to duct tape his mouth every time he comes up with one of his hair-brained ideas to “help” his ‘Samanther.’ For me, he’s a bigger joke than Trask right now. E.J., just stop, PLEASE. Marge is another example of an actor/actress going to the extreme in her role. The writers have turned her into a shrew, which makes it so hard for me to swallow since the audience knows that her husband is not the honorable, highly decorated detective that she and others have made him out to be. I’ve always suspected that her hands aren’t as clean as she would have everyone think either, at least where Stefano is concerned.
Sami was arrested on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, and I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that the trial is a lot more exciting than the pre-trial. Either way, I think all of the stories are running way too long, but I’m afraid we’re going to have to suffer through all of the b/s for another 6-8 weeks, since the start of November sweeps is at least that far away. Bah!
according to spoilers, she will be gone during or shortly after NOVEMBER sweeps (I said February). There is supposed to be some sort of catastrophe toward the end of the year (which she may or may NOT be a part of, I just don’t know).
As for Camilla Banus, she did not state how her exit was to come about, nor did she say if she was being re-cast or if that was it for Gabi Hernandez. Guess we’ll have to wait and see on that one.
the show’s storylines have been running at a snail’s pace, and it’s seems like the same people are on day after day. There are so many other interesting characters on DOOL who have amazing history with this show, yet these writers have chosen to either not include them in the stories we are watching, or simply refuse to write for them at all. You know I am a fan of EJAMI, but even this trial storyline is at a standstill for me. Are we to assume that the only time the fans will be interested in Days of Our Lives is when we are nearing a sweeps month. The stories have to be paced better so that just near the time one is ending, another or two stories are just heating up. Keep my interest going, writers, or I’ll find better things to do with my time. No wonder the ratings have plummeted again. That’s my motto, anyway.
I believe she finally accepts the fact that Eric embodies everything his vocation perceives him to be, and she even called him “Father.” I, too, would love to see Nicole find love, but not with Eric. However, that being said, if anything drives him away from the priesthood, it will be when or I should say if his memory fully returns and he decides that the shame of taking advantage of the forbidden fruit, albeit not through his own fault since he was the one taken advantage of, not the other way around, I do think he will feel that somehow he betrayed the God he so devoutly loves and cherishes, and will feel compelled to leave his calling. I hope I’m wrong, but then, and only then, will he feel free to move on with his life.
The scenes with the dying woman were more filler for me than anything else, and I wasn’t quite sure if Nicole stayed because of the woman or because of Eric, but either way it was a kind gesture on her part.
I said that’s what “I” would like to do to him; Daniel did put his hands on him though by grabbing him by his shirt and holding him while shaking the hell out of him. JJ also had Daniel by his shirt. Doesn’t make it right on either part; but, Daniel is the adult and JJ is a minor, like it or not, and he should have had more control, IMO. Just show them both the door, once and for all!

Also, did you notice that the zip code they used on the letter Theresa picked up that Daniel dropped on the floor when he entered the elevator had a Connecticut zip code? These things happen all the time in soaps. Salem has always been referred to as being somewhere in the Chicago, IL area, thus the constant reference to the Cubs and other nightclubs, opera houses, etc., in and around IL. All that slip up on the subpoena showed me is that someone in the props department did a lousy job and, like these writers, might soon be looking for a new one. LOL!

“Massey has played the popular gay character of Will Horton since 2010 and been nominated for an Emmy each year, winning twice. In speaking with GSN Friday (23 August) evening, Massey said there had been no ill will between he and the powers that be. ‘I’m appreciative for Days and NBC for letting me out of my contract early so I can go and pursue these opportunities that I have not been able to pursue before,’ Massey said. The show released a statement of its own which said in part: ‘Due to current storyline and the timely discovery of new talent that the show feels is the right recast for Will Horton, a mutual decision has been made for the changes to taken place immediately.’ After winning his second Emmy in June, Massey said he planned to leave the show at the end of his four-year contract which ended in December.”
All Massey said on his twitter account was that he was glad the show let him out of his contract early; but this is news to me. Maybe they (the Network(s) did let him go, but I highly doubt it after winning 2 Emmys for his work).

especially Sami’s red/pink streak. I don’t care if it’s dyed, sprayed, or a hairpiece….it’s an ugly as hell contrast against her blond hair. I wish Ali would have it removed; her hair is much prettier without that atrocity of a ‘sore thumb’. By the way, I thought Ali looked fantastic in that white dress yesterday, with very modest make-up and hairstyle. Good work wardrobe, hair and make-up (for a change).
I love EJ and Sami just the way they are, but she needs to tell E.J. about that heinous D.A.’s offer. If she keeps this from him and it gets out later, I see serious problems for them, and I don’t want to see that. I like them now, together, in love, and fighting for all their worth to protect one another and, of course, their children, but not giving a flying fig about anyone else. I want to see Sami get off and then the two of them wreak havoc on their enemies, starting with Stefano, followed by Kate. Loved when E.J. told her yesterday: “You did no wrong??? You gave my father a motive and Sami a gun.” Damn, go get her, E.J.
I despise Theresa; wish Hope would have had her tested. She probably still had the coke in her bloodstream. I also genuinely dislike JJ and Anne, but props to JJ for telling that damn witch off where she went off about Jennifer. She may have been right about Jennifer skipping out whenever it suits her needs, but I like that JJ is a “do as I say, not as I do” kinda’ kid where someone else speaking ill of his family is concerned.
I’m not interested in a Kate/Rafe/Jordan triangle in the least, but I’m almost afraid that’s what we’re in for. I do like the slow start with Jordan, who seems like a very no-nonsense PT, and with Rafe’s sometimes combative nature where his weakness is concerned, I can see them bonding at some point, but not right away, please. I do look forward to seeing Kate’s green with envy appearance the first time she sees the change from the frog to the princess. Then maybe the ‘real’ Katherine Roberts will show up for work. Until then I’m waiting for her to show up in Rafe’s room with a bib, a silver spoon and a jar of baby food.
