to start with the writing. Sami is getting too big for her britches, first and foremost due to the script. I read even the actress is not fond of her recent portrayal. I don’t know also how much of her shrieking is due to direction or her own take on it. Afterall, Sami has always been hysterical. Given hi-charged lines like “if Johnny doesn’t come home I’ll make you wish you were never born!” I don’t know how less intensely she could recite them.
So what I’m saying is I’m not sure to what extent Alison can be held accountable for the out of control direction Days has provided. Sami is a runaway train right now that could derail the “feel good” foundation Days has laid. They simply refuse to change her “enfant terrible” personality.the brass at Days will never mature Sami because they believe these outbursts provide such uber drama. Well, if they believe this is what the fans want, they are sorely mistaken.
Yes, Sami probably had some valid points about Marlena’s defense of John, but the way she said it was truly nasty.
Sami is supposed to be a spitfire, wear her heart on her sleeve character who screws up but we inevitably forgive. Don’t know about this time. She is really wearing on me.but could Hope’s comments be a factor in voters giving her the boot? Fans obviously vote for reasons other than performance and from what I’ve seen of Hope, she doesn’t comport herself very graciously. Was she a better dancer than Rob?
Now maybe it’s because of the John conflict between them, but I see zero chemistry between these two. I did like Patrick previously, but maybe, like Wayne’s returns as Roman, some characters cannot be ressurected and hold the same interest. Maybe some Salemites just can’t go home again.
But I’m willing to see where this couple goes after the John situation is resolved, because this SL is largely disinteresting for me.this perception that Sami has changed all that much. She is still that teenager who witnessed her mom and lover in the plane and will never forgive Marlena for as she put it, “breaking up my family.” How old is Sami? And how many families has she broken up?
I can see her kneejerk reaction with Johnny being missing, but she, as usual, took it too far.Nadia is a somewhat shallow person who takes Brandon for granted and/or doesn’t like any kind of conflict. We also don’t know the family dynamic of her growing up and perhaps (more so likely!) both she and her dad were dominated by Fari.
I liked how one of the guys in her circle let her know how she needed to stand up to Fari but I don’t think she’s going to take action. I’m afraid it will inevitably be up to Brandon to either continue to take the abuse or cut if off w/Nadia.has never been shown to be much of a grandma. I don’t recall many scenes of her even being involved w/the grandkids.
ITA she is too much attached to the hip with John. Hey, I’M getting cabin fever just watching these apartment scenes!at Nadia. She just bats her eyes and says, “Well, that’s my mom.” I wonder how she’d feel if Brandon’s mom treated her like that? Brandon is too mild mannered to let Fari have itand Fari is taking full advantage. Brandon is between a rock and hard place. It’s up to Nadia to let her mom know in no uncertain terms that this is the guy she has chosen, that this is not the “old country” where marriages are arranged and she will have to make some decisions Fari won’t like if she keeps up this deplorable behavior.
As for Farah, she’s dreaming if she thinks John Paul will put a ring on her finger. JP will soon resent being in LA and he only dropped a bone to Farah about marraige because she was pressuring him. Farah has to see through this “one day” crap and either accept JP or severe the relationship. I guarantee marriage will never happen.going on for me. How intriguing can these SLs be if we know the Dimeras are at the center of every conflict with John and the Bradys? Days needs a new fresh enemy and for the Di’s to pay bigtime for their crimes. EJ is the worst w/ his arrogance, and for Nicole to be taken in yet again for the umteenth time, no matter how she feels about this criminal is shameful writing IMO.
