you’re not. I’d take her over John and the ridiculous over acting any day. Some words come out as though he has a hair ball. Also now he forgets something again…yes we have never seen this type of plot for John. *sarcastic claps* Anyway my main problem with Marlena is when she was last on DOOL she cried all the time. Every scene..now part of that was most definitely the writers then, but it was so annoying. I was not excited about John and Marlena’s return or Carrie and Austin’s because frankly I find them all boring. I love Jack. I know a lot of people don’t but at least he’s a character that gets a reaction. Who cares about Marlena?

I have always liked Marlena in the past but it seems like since she’s come back, she is a different person and one I don’t particularily care for. She has become rather annoying IMO.
Now maybe it’s because of the John conflict between them, but I see zero chemistry between these two. I did like Patrick previously, but maybe, like Wayne’s returns as Roman, some characters cannot be ressurected and hold the same interest. Maybe some Salemites just can’t go home again.
But I’m willing to see where this couple goes after the John situation is resolved, because this SL is largely disinteresting for me.to be careful for what we wish for because we just may get it….I love John and Marlena, always have always will, but am NOT liking the way they are being portrayed in the script right now. Same with Carrie and Austin, (well, after the Eden fiasco – I could take or leave Austin).
I love the old characters because I know their history, they’ve been in my living room every day for over twenty years now, be they the bad guys like Stef and EJ or the good guys like Austin and my beloved John, I just "wish" the new writers would get a clue as to who these characters really are…I when I Gritch and moan and cry and carry on about the show’s SL’s I am not venting at the actors, I’m venting at what is being done to my beloved characters by the writers. (bigger font due to my eyesight even with my glasses – sorry folks).
How many 64 year olds look that flawless? I don’t remember her face looking that narrow. It must all be pulled behind her ears and hidden by her hair. Sorry, really being catty, but I wish some of these actresses were start looking like they’ve aged gracefully instead of via surgery. I guess that just shows that I’ve also never been a big Marlena and breathy John fan.
