ParticipantSami is a natural blonde.
I don’t know how they are going to give EJ any knowledge as to who shot him because he was passed out cold when she did it. And since only Sami and Will know who did it, the only way he could find out is if he hears one of them say so and I doubt that will happen. I’m afraid we’re going to be in for some more unbelievable garbage in the writing department…AGAIN!

Participantwhen he was talking to Carley at the pub. He said he got hung up at a crime scene and then had to go into the office to complete the paper work. Lame, yeah, but an explanation, nonetheless.

ParticipantIt is one of my favorite shows.
I hope Margaret Cho goes first. She was HORRIBLE! So was Michael Bolton. I read that he’s been a real diva and nobody likes him much.
But I was disappointed in the scores they gave The Hoff. I thought he did much better than they said. As Len said of another dancer, it’s also about the entertainment value and he was certainly entertaining. I love the way he can laugh at himself.
And as widely predicted, it looks like Jennifer is going to be the front runner, and maybe Brandy too. Florence did much better than I expected. At least she brought some dignity to the show and wasn’t a buffoon like Cloris Leachman was. And she’s 76! Holy cow!
But one thing I was VERY disappointed in was the music. I thought the selections were awful. There wasn’t one single song that I enjoyed. I don’t want to see someone doing the Vienese Waltz to some obscure boy band song. Same with the passo roble. They always want to have them do it to a popular song where I think it should stay traditional and be in the Flamenco vein. Oh, well, I’m only one person.

ParticipantI assume there was not side to it so it wouldn’t bee to bad to be in there. And some scenes were shot from the top so that means there was no top either.

Participanthave certainly fulfilled their obligation to their country. My father was 4F so couldn’t join up, even though he lied about his condition (hearing loss…they caught him during the physical). But DH #1 was in the AF, DH #2 was career Army and retired out of it. Son #1 was a commissioned officer in the Army, Son #2 was a grunt in the Marines (that’s what he says so I can say it too). My sister had three sons and one was in the Army, one Navy and one Marines and all were in Vietnam at the same time, even though they didn’t need to be. And, my oldest brother was in the Army and other bro was in the AF.
Whew! I don’t think I left anybody out and that covers every man in the family except uncles because I don’t know about them. Because I was the youngest of the youngest, most of them were dead and gone while I was still a little kid. Oh, BIL was career Army also, went MIA in Korea and never found. That was extremely hard on my sister for many years, until seven years later when they finally declared him dead.
I guess we all have extreme patriotism in our genes because don’t EVER say anything bad about MY USA! EVER!

Participantis an incredible show. I saw it the first time because there wasn’t anything else interesting on and I was totally hooked. I can’t believe what they put those guys through. I told my son to watch and he said, "It can’t be any worse that what we went through in Marine basic training." After he watched it he had an entirely different story to tell. Talk about bravery, and tenacity, and heroism…those guys exhibit it all. And if I could, I’d shake every one of their hands and thank them for what they do for our country. And it is 100% volunteerism.

ParticipantThat was one big bunch of cowboys! Even though I was a girl (I still am, I think), I was a big fan of Roy Rogers, The Durango Kid, Lash LaRue and Hopalong Cassidy. Every Saturday we’d go to the movies to catch the latest installment of the cowboy serials.
Mom would give us each a quarter. It was .14 to get into the movies, .10 for popcorn, and we’d have a penny when we left for a gumball.

ParticipantHeartworm and flea meds. My vet in CA, when she found out I was moving to FL, said if I didn’t do anything else for my dogs to give them Heartguard. So they get it every month without fail.
And as for fleas, the doggers were bothered terribly by them and the house was full of them before I started using Advantage. Now, I haven’t seen a flea anywhere in over 10 years. Once you get them off the dogs, they seem to go away from the rest of the house and yard. I guess when they don’t have to dog to feed on they die out. I feel very badly now that they suffered with them before. Of course there was no such thing before.

ParticipantJust the five days I spent in the hospital (and four of them I was ambulatory) I was going bezerk. Maybe if they had given me copious amounts of drugs I could have endured it better. I guess if you are in pain it’s the place to be but I don’t think I could last that long.
I hope you didn’t have any lasting effects.

ParticipantIt just about literally ended for some of the fans. That’s when I was on the NBC soap site and we all posted together on all the NBC soaps. Geeze, I thought some of them were ready to jump off a cliff. Some vowed to never watch another show on NBC and some other really drastic stuff. Of course I shouldn’t say anything because I don’t know what I"LL do if/when Days ends. Hopefully I’ll end first.
I had no idea it was even ending. This does not bode will for us soap fans. Does anybody know how they compared with Days in the ratings (overall)?

Participantone thing I was worried about moving to FL was the bugs. If you’ve never seen a Palmetto bug, you haven’t lived. They are probably the biggest bug in the world…AND…they fly! I’m really not afraid of anything but bugs. Snakes, mice, bats, nothing, but a little ol’ spider can send me up the wall.
Anyway, what I started to say was that I was pleasantly surprised to find I have less bugs here than I did in CA (the frogs are probably eating them all up). We do have a gazillion little anole lizards that eat bugs but I don’t mind them at all except they often startle me when I see one scurry out of the corner of your eye. (No, it’s not scurring out of my eye, I’m seeing it scurry.) In fact, in the winter I usually leave all my patio doors (three of ’em) open during the day. They open up all the way so the doors are against the wall. The one in the living room is three panels so it’s like there’s no wall there at all.
The only bad time is dusk when the skeeters come out but they don’t bite me or if they do I don’t get any reaction from them. My ex says it’s because I have vinegar in my veins. Yeah, he loved me.

ParticipantThere is only a small space that they can be getting in from. I don’t care about the front yard because the dogs don’t go out there (Bufos) but it would be nice to have the back yard be a frog-free zone.
Thanks!

Participantthat nobody can hear her. Remember, she tested it out with Gus. Besides, panic would be the worst thing to do. And what good would breaking the monitor do? She’d just lose contact with Brady then. I’d think some link to the outside would be better than nothing.
I’m not particularly claustrophobic but I think being in there could definitely send me over the edge. I get a little nervous when I have an MRI.

Participantin the association where I live and we got a call one day (I was the property manager then) that a gator had climbed up the steps (13 of them!) and was lying in front of the their door so they couldn’t get out. That was a fun rescue to watch! When we call in the Critter Control, they relocate any of them four feet or less. Over four feet and it’s…off with their head!
There is so much water in our area because we have so much rain and don’t have sewers because the water table is so high they wouldn’t drain anything if we did. So, instead we have irrigation ponds. Water that runs off the streets and yards goes into the ponds and people use that water for irrigation To keep the water fresh, they have to all be connected by canals. So, that enables the gators to easily go from one to another pond/canal to the next, so it’s not unusual to find one almost anywhere. My back yard has a four foot wall around it…but it’s not high high enough to keep those damn frogs out.

ParticipantI can’t see him wanting to hang around Vivian anymore. And I’m sure not going to miss Gus. I think he is probably who the phrase "Gloomy Gus" was coined for. It fits him to a tee.
