Participantbringing in so much money, I was convinced the girls were going to win. They seem always to do that to try and throw us off.
I find it hard to imagin that people can pay so much money for something that is virtually trash. Yes, I know it’s for charity, but still, some of that stuff was really awful. I certainly give them honors though for giving back some of their wealth. To be able to give away that much money ($400,000 in one case on the men’s side) just boggles my mind.
A couple of weeks ago I had to drop off my San Francisco son at The Fontainbleu Hotel in Miami for a conference he was attending. My other son and I sat at the poolside bar while we waited for him to check in. He ordered a beer and I had a screwdriver which came to $23.00! The hotel is huge and it was all booked up for the weekend. I wondered how there can be so many people that can afford to even stay at a place like that and that is only one hotel on Miami Beach of many, many others there, and only one city of the other hundreds of cities in the world with hotels of the same caliber. Where did I go wrong?

ParticipantAm am SO FAR from being homophobic but I’d never want to kiss another woman. I’d probably quit also. It’s not much different to me than asking me to appear nude, I wouldn’t do that either because both would make me feel very uncomfortable.
I kiss my boys (on the lips) hello and good-bye (or thank-you) but no way in the world, as much as I love them both, would I want to kiss my DsIL. They just get one on the cheek. I don’t have a daughter so don’t know what I’d do in that case.
I have no problems with gays whatsoever…except…I don’t want to watch them kissing or making out. I’m afraid I’m really going to have trouble with this storyline, regardless of how "tastefully" they may do it. As well done as it is on Brothers and Sisters, it still makes me cringe when I see the two gay guys kissing or in bed together. Maybe because I know both actors are straight…it might be different if they were actually gay in real life.

ParticipantI guess we don’t stop to think how hard it is for these actors to maintain their original character while still have to play, essentially, someone else.
Thanks, Patti.

Participantif she sings. Don’t know for sure, just speculating. It seems to me I remember something to that effect when Gloria Lorring was on the show.

ParticipantFor the most part, I am quite enjoy the stories going on right now. But then, I’m the one who never FFs anything (with the exception of the EJ/Taylor "look") either.

ParticipantEJ is supposed to be a dignified, well-heeled "gentleman" and I think they were just trying to show how badly Rafe2 was getting his goat without him losing control completely.
As I said about Philip, I don’t think a person in his position would lower himself to a fist fight as we’ve seen him do. You normally see that kind of mentality in blue-collar workers, not big high-ranking executives like the Kiriakises and Dimeras are supposed to be.
Actually, I was very surprised to see EJ make peace with him. He should have given him his old evil-eye and a warning to watch his step and remember who he’s dealing with. So, no, I though they played it quite well.

Participantso, yes, I hope she’s gone for good. Besides, it’ll make for a good storyline. Now if only he’d do the same thing to Taylor!
I’m thinking that since they are bringing in this "new" Taylor with a darker side, maybe she’s going to be gunning for her mom’s murderer. But I’d rather see her gone completely than even that.

Participantwonder if he’ll host!

(Oh, crap! It looks like we’re back to taking two minutes to post again. Jenn, is this something you might be able to correct?)

Participantthe child labor laws limit the hours they may spend on screen. By using twins, they can double that amount. I don’t know what age that no longer applies because the current Ciera and Theo are not twins.

ParticipantI’ve mentioned before about a friend of mine that was married for 19 years and had four kids. Then she got divorced and "came out" and has been living with the same women ever since…25 years!
I also have a very good friend that I went to school with that married, had two girls and many years later decided he no longer wanted to live a lie. This is really a good one because although he’s been living with his partner for many years now, he and his ex wife remain very good friends. He’s always doing things for her, they go to breakfast every Saturday morning and spend all their holidays together.
So, yes, it’s possible to take a long time to finally "give in" to one’s sexuality. My only gripe is that with Will they are doing it all of a sudden instead of giving us little glimpses of what he has been experiencing in his past. Like maybe questioning his relationship (to himself, of course) with Gabby. Or at least showing some kind of turmoil in his life.

ParticipantI was talking about turning around a character we’ve know since his birth and now all of a sudden he’s gay? GMAB! If they wanted him gay, we should have been shown some kind of signs in the past..his struggling with it or, at the least, questioning his sexuality to himself. But, no, they just decide one day, hey, let’s make Will gay. As I said before, BAH!

ParticipantMatt gets a pretty bad cut on his foot. I sure hope it doesn’t hinder him in the next challenge, especially since it’s against Serita.

ParticipantI don’t like this at all. It seems the writers are doing everying thing possible to try and alienate us viewers/fans. Well, they’re doing a good job of it.
As I mentioned before, I wouldn’t care if they brought in a new character that was gay but to all of a sudden turn one around, outrageous. Like Patti said, I could accept if he was bi but not this.

ParticipantI just hope now that they bring in a lot of money.
