Kate will uncover this plot.  She is no dummy, however, I sure want to see Sami and Madison stick it to her.

Survivor to begin again (February) as they will have two South Florida contestants on.  Yay, someone to cheer for.  Although I wasn’t too thrilled about Albert last season and he was from FL.

I’m not bothered by the age disparities.  I know they have to do that for the story’s sake.  But what bothers me is when they change past history when there is no earthly reason for it.  Especially things like making Dan Maggies son.

isn’t time that Sami tries to put her anger aside and mend fences with Marlena.  After all, she is her mother.  It seems to me that I wouldn’t want to shut out my family (and John is every much her father as Roman is) completely.  I thought after Johnny was found and John acquited that they had made amends.  Apparently not.  Of course, what drama would we have if they did.

The thing I’m most disgusted about now is this "thing" between Rafe and Carrie.  They supposedly love their spouses so much, how can they possibly be attracted (even if it’s only physical) to anybody else?

I thought the DWTS they’ve been promoting in the ads are the reruns of previous years’ shows.  Is there really a "new" one coming up?  I sure hope so as it’s my favorite also.

I heard speculation that Paula Dean might be on.

to see them writing something negative about St. Marlena.  She has always been so above approach in everything.  Even though we know why she wasn’t at those events (being off the show), everything Sami said was very true.  If they wanted to keep her personnae pristine, they should have at least given her some kind of excuse why she couldn’t be there.  Although, I can’t imagine ANY plausible excuse for not being there when Grace died.

Little Lulu.  You have to be pretty old to remember her.  My mom used to do my hair like that when I was about eight.  Put it up in rags.  Ewww, I hated that.

Ryan’s look-alike.  He was incredible and even though he didn’t make it through with his singing, I bet they’ll have him doing something in the future.  Maybe on the show, maybe somewhere else.  He’s not quite as cute as Ryan but he’s sure got him down pat…voice and all.

The past week has been HORRIBLE!

The way Rafe and Carrie have been acting actually makes me nauseated.

You’re right.  It seems like they have to put everybody in a lustful situation with someone else.

Gabby DID ask Mel before about should she ask Chad out again and that maybe she shouldn’t have broken up with him.  I know they didn’t date very long but she was the first in Salem to go out with him.

How is Basic Black going to use them?  I don’t care if Victor IS family, that just doesn’t happen.

That’s almost as ridiculous as Marie Claire using models from Cosmopolitan for an ad campaign.  Dumb, dumb, dumb.

if he said he didn’t know what "the finger" meant.  He is one of the filthiest comedians I’ve ever seen.  At least Buddy Hacket was funny with his dirty jokes but Mason was just plain disgusting.

But I think you’re right, casey, it’s the shock value.  If they can’t wow us with talent, they’ll do it with shock, ergo the popularity of the shock jocks.  I can’t for the life of me see how people can watch/listen to those guys, i.e. Stern and Imus.  I see no humor in what they have to say WHATSOEVER.  Yeah, yeah, I’m getting old.

Actually, I don’t think age has anything to do with it.  When I was 27 I saw George Gobel (Ol’ Lonesome George) perform in Las Vagas and he was so raunchy I couldn’t believe it.  His TV show was a nice entertaining family show and then he pops that on me.  What a disappointment.

The same thing happened to me with Jerry Lewis.  Was watching him toss down $1000 bets on the craps table (at 10:00 a.m., bombed out of his gourd, trying to attract as much attention as he could, and swearing up a blue streak.  I’ve never liked him since then.  And I was only 19 then.

I guess it’s the old saying, "negative attention is better than no attention at all."

they must have good reasoning (in their minds anyway) why they think people want to watch these sex scenes and intense kissing matches.  Could it be that it appeals to the "younger set" and most of us here have aged a tad?  I don’t know but really wonder what drives their motivation.

In MY marriage, at least, most of the outward affection we shared was a quick kiss or a big hug.  Everything beyond that took place in the bedroom (well, and once in a while in the back of the movie theater!).  Is there anybody here that likes these explicit scenes shown to us or would you rather just have them implied?  I don’t mind a mild one when a relationship is brand new because that happens but I think Madsion and Brady and Nicole and EJ are beyond that.

Or…have I just become an old fogie?

it would depend upon how the account was set up.  If it was "joint" the other person would now be joint owner with Hope.  If it was "with sole survivorship" it would belong solely to the remainding owner.  In additions, there are other types of ownership that could have been used.  There are all kinds of possible legalities involved that we haven’t been privy to.

I will not for a minute believe Alice was involved in any kind of blackmail or any other such thing as I don’t believe these writers are cheeky enough to besmirch Alice’s reputation like that.  I will be extremely disappoint if that should happen.

I can’t even begin to imagine who it could be.  I don’t think it’ll be a DiMera or one of her relatives.  My only guess is that it’s someone we haven’t met yet.  The new character?  The next thing that’s got me scratching my head is what could possibly be in the box.  I just hope that after all this lengthy build-up, we’re not disappointed.
