Participantwith Nicolas but don’t remember where. Kind of a get-away-from-it-all trip.

Participantvery high for so early in the season. I can’t believe they gave out a couple of tens so soon.
This is the first show I’ve seen and it looks like they have a lot of talent…except, I’m sorry to say, Sherri. I think she’ll be the next to go. I couldn’t believe they gave her eights.

Participantor is Carrie gaining weight? She looked a little…um…hefty today.

ParticipantTrump must have something for Lou F we don’t know about. IMO, he should have been fired a couple of times previously, or, at least brought to the boardroom. I disagree that Dee should have gotten the axe this time nor Penn. There have been a couple of other cases in the past where a person had a previous committment and had to leave so I don’t think that should be held against him.
Yes, Lou did a good presentation, but I think in the long run, Dee is a much better player. Lou hasn’t really done much of anything in any of the tasks. He did nothing as PM but handle his own part. And I don’t think Lou’s "disability" should even enter into it. After all, Marlee Matlin is totally deaf and look how well she did.
Regarding Ali, to me, she always appears to be "on" when she is shown doing unscripted work. She seems to come across as insincere and saying and doing what will make a good impression on the viewer. I’m not sure I’m putting that very succintly but hope you get what I’m saying. But, I’ll say this for her, she sure did look great.

Participantbecause of my stupidity of unplugging the TV while I was gone, I missed two weeks of Days.
Could someone please explain to me how John and Hope transformed to The Pawn and Gina? Or are they just acting the part? Please don’t say it’s another chip…even if it is!
TIA

ParticipantMaybe Days should switch to that format.

ParticipantI read recently that they are thinking of increasing the number of Telenovas…get this…for the English speaking viewers. Go figure.
What makes me scratch my head is that with so many soaps going off the air, there should be a plethora of good writers out there. So why don’t we have the cream of the crop writing for Days? Huh?

ParticipantWhen I get my pictures posted, I’ll let you know where.
Now, the stupid, stupid, stupid thing I did before I left. Thinking I’d save a lot of electricity by unplugging my computer, etc. and TV, etc. it didn’t occur to me that my DVR wouldn’t work without power. Therefore, I got NOTHING for two whole weeks. AAAAGGHHHHHHHH!!!! <hitting myself over the head with a cast iron frying pan>

ParticipantDO IT!
You know, it’s nice to take pictures but they just aren’t the same as being there and seeing it in person. It is just such an enormous experience. (Especially when we got charged by a young bull elephant. THAT was VERY exciting!!!)

ParticipantI ask them for their phone number and tell them I’ll call them right back. That usually ends it quite quickly. And, if you think it’s a scam, give the number to the police, they’ll get it to the right place.

Participantafter spending 42 hours trying to get here (all without sleep). Just one thing after another kept delaying things from engine repair to a missed flight to lost luggage. The plane trip from Johannesburg to D.C. alone was 19 hours!!! And in little narrow seats. UGH!
But the trip was the best ever. We saw (up close and personal) elephants, hippos, black and white rhinos, giraffes, zebras, cape buffalo, blue and black wildebeests, lions, one leopard, crocs, ostrich, about 15 different kinds of antelope, wart hogs, monkeys, beautiful birds galore, and had three incredibly delicious meals every single day (including antelope shish-ka-bobs and wildebeest steaks), swam in the Indian Ocean (nice and warm), froze my poor Florida butt off in the mountains, saw some of the most amazing scenery in my life EVER, got a few pretty good pictures, and lived to tell about it. :o)
There is a pretty interesting website about our host (Joe) and his son (Zen) when Joe was attacked by a Cape Buffalo while on a shooting safari and Zen had to save him with nothing but a knife. It’s at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQnZyeukczI (You can also see how big his reserve is as it begins at the top of the mountains in the background.)
When I figure out where I’m going to post my pictures I’ll let you know.
Now I’m going back to bed (it’s almost 11:00 pm in South Africa), it’s going to take me a couple of days to catch up on sleep.

ParticipantIt was an amazing, amazing trip.

Participantthis vote tampering thing kind of nebulous because there will be something about it later and they are leaving out naming the actual guilty party in order for them to fit their writing around it the way they want it to go. (Did that make sense? Oh well, I knew what I meant.)

Participantan interesting way to go. We know that girls often have crushes on older men while they are still young, why couldn’t the same thing happen to Will? Obviously, I’m a week behind on my viewing, but thought your speculation was something well worth pondering.
