Is anyone else as completely and utterly bored by this storyline as I am? I hardly ever FF thru entire scenes but I cannot bring myself to watch these awful, slow-moving, repetitive scenes of them playing poker! Not to mention the horrible accent that Kristian Alfonso is doing. I love her but it sounds so forced and fake. Cannot watch!!!
as I have no sense of tension or drama here. A big problem is because of the repetitiveness of this SL, going to the well once too often, there is no hold your breath moment. Like we know our heroes are in no real danger and the only “carrot” is what does Stef’s letter hold?
And like so much of Days lately, they are proving yet again you can’t resurrect history nor youth. Maybe it was just me, but I thought Hope actually looked old in that dress today.It’s bad enough that it’s moving at a snail’s pace, but every time I have to watch John and Hope kiss while Stefano watches their every move, I get even more disgusted. The story makes no sense. It’s as if it’s misplaced, from the beginning to what will hopefully soon be the end. It has no purpose with everything that’s going on, and that is obviously purposely misleading, because there isn’t anything left to even imagine any longer. To take it even further, it’s a "who cares" for me. The writers may think they are going to the edge of the cliff with this one, but as far as I’m concerned, they can jump off and take this horrible story with them. What’s worse, it is ruining three fabulous characters in a crescendo that practically every board I read tells me just how sad whoever came up with this concept in the first place is definitely in the wrong business. It’s definitely the storyline to nowhere, and it needs to end.
because of my stupidity of unplugging the TV while I was gone, I missed two weeks of Days.
Could someone please explain to me how John and Hope transformed to The Pawn and Gina? Or are they just acting the part? Please don’t say it’s another chip…even if it is!

of John’s money being taken and it leads to Stefano and EJ going down. It also would make me happy if it leads into more ISA stories but only if they are well-written and not just recycle, wash, recycle. This story isn’t bothering me as much as the crap with Ian. I don’t like watching JohnPawn/PrincessGina sucking face and hope they will soon wake up to who they really are and turn the tables on Stefano.
John/Hope, he stabbed them with a needle and then they woke up in a jail cell and at that point they seemed to have been hypnotized back into John/Gina. While they believe they are J/G, I think they are more crafty than the originals in that they are now out for themselves and not just working for Stefano. I can’t tell you too much as I either FFed or got distracted with other projects as these scenes were playing in the background.
Am I suppose to believe that Gina’s hair instantly got a couple of blonde streaks just from the hypnosis or drugs or whatever it was that transformed her from Hope to Gina? Of did Stefano supply her with some blonde hair extensions? I don’t even pay attention to this storyline so I might need a little explaining.
Hope’s lavendar dress just looked funereal on her. I tuned in to see what was happening and just kept saying out loud to no one as I was home alone, "this is so stupid, this is so stupid." After the third time of saying that I turned off the TV. Then "stupid" (me) turned it back on again and watched Sami & Lucas for awhile. That irritated me, so I said "that’s it." The stories are just plain crap. Why would Carrie be so in love with Rafe? She hardly knows him. Why would Rafe suddenly become Nicole’s hero and tell EJ he’s the father of the baby? How many paternity tests could possibly be switched in these storylines? How can Sami possibly be civil to EJ and accept an apartment from him after everything he’s done? Has she had a lobotomy? Maybe she needs one. I would think that Alison Sweeney would say "enough is enough" for my character. I can’t say I’ve ever been a Sami fan, but this character has just totally turned me off of her. I can’t even stand to watch when she’s on. I quit watching for weeks. I guess it’s time to do it again. Books on tape are so much better.
all I could think of was who wrote this, Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder ("Young Frankenstein)??? That’s what Hope’s streaks reminded me of. One minute she’s a brunette, she gets hypnotized, and BANG, she wakes up with streaks in her hair. LOL. Too funny — no, actually it was so cheesy, it was funny!!!
I missed a week’s worth of Day’s and I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone. Hope/John as Princess Gina and The Pawn —again? It was boring the first time around. Now it’s just ridiculous. I agree with everyone on the streaks in her hair? Stefano must have a cosmetology license I suppose. And that ridiculous accent is annoying. The Pawn stares at her like she’s a steak on the grill. I SO wanted John and Marlena back in Salem…but definitely not like this. And poor Ciara. Her dad is in a coma/dying and her mom is in a non-existant land talking like a fake Disney princess and smoking footlong cigarettes! She doesn’t stand a chance of being the least bit normal.
And if that wasn’t enough: Sami is suddenly back in love with Lucas. Rafe cares enough about Nicole to claim her baby as his own. And Carrie is having a snot-fest because Rafe isn’t in love with her?
It’s like someone passes a notebook around the writers table and everyone writes a line of dialogue without reading what has previously been written. I guess I should post something positive after all this…I AM looking forward to summer. The summer storylines always seem to be better. I hope I’m not wrong.
