It’s been here for a year and a half now.  I wonder if Jenn has totally deserted this site.

I liked Kim when she was on as a regular but the last couple of times she returned she really left me cold.  Maybe it is like when Marlena and John returned, well, Billie too.  They weren’t very appealing at first but then got better.  Maybe Kim just needed to be on longer.

I think Charles looks much older than he did the last time he returned (and much greyer), but, oh yes, still very handsome.  He was always one of my favorite characters.  I hope he stays a while.  I’m surprised he hasn’t lost more of his accent after living in the US for so long.  But then, he wouldn’t be our same ol’ suave and lovable Shane, would he?

But now I have to say something about difusing that bomb.  Could that have been any more laughable?  All they had to do is cut two  wires, how complicated was that.  And good thing the Harmon used the correctly colored wires or that could have been a disaster.  Oh, my eyes are getting so sore from rolling so much lately.

Also, what in the heck was that house made of that they couldn’t talk to Roman through the door?  And they were pushing on it to keep him from opening it.  My front door opens out, not in.  But then, maybe because they aren’t in hurricane country.  Anyway, that whole thing was so stupid and laughable.  And if the cell phone signals were jammed, I’d think the walkie-talkie’s would be too.  Hope wasn’t so smart.  I thought of putting a piece of paper up to the window telling Roman not to open the door.

I kind of skipped over John Paul’s name.  I hope they don’t cast him as I couldn’t help thinking of him as he was on Dirty Soaps.  He was an idiot, a mama’s boy and a totally unlikeable person.  I can’t picture him as Rex.  Anybody that insists on wearing pajama bottoms out in public all the time must be missing a few cranium cells.

I never really "got" Mimi and Rex in the first place.  If they’re going to bring back someone of that age group I’d rather see Eric return.  He is much more integral to the family than Rex.  (Personally, I think they should treat Rex and Cassie like they never happened.)  Besides, if Rex comes back they will have to address the fact that Cassie is still upstairs in the pub.

they’d be more likely to bring back someone like Eric rather than bring on a new character like Cameron.  However, I’ve read that writers get paid for THEIR characters, not those of prior writers.  I don’t know how that works but it could explain why we see new people rather than bringing back the old.

Personally, I like to see the old characters (played by the same actor(s) as before) return occasionally.  It makes it more realistic.

is that what will he do if he does leave the show?  I don’t think he’s old/rich enough to retire permanently and the track record for soap stars making it in movies or primetime isn’t that great.  That makes me doubt this rumor very much.  Even if he should get a staring roll (doubtful) in a movie, that wouldn’t be enough to quit Days completely.  And, quite frankly, I can’t see Peter in a staring roll…even on a TV series.  Sorry but I don’t.

As for not having good story lines…  I don’t think the actors care that much what their characters do as long as they have lines to say when they come to work every day.  Of course, it would have to be something they can sink their teeth into and show their chops.  I imagine saying the same lines over and over all the time would get pretty hard to keep fresh, but still, it’s a paycheck every week.

He is such a cutie.  I think if Maks would tone down his comments he might get more favorable marks from the judges.  But, you still have to have a partner who can pull the whole thing off to win.  It doesn’t matter how good of a teacher or choreographer you are, if your "star" doesn’t have it, they just don’t have it.

Another one I think is very talented (although doesn’t really have the personality of some of the other pros) is Louis Van Amstel.  Have you noticed how many of the pro dances he choreographs?  They have a ton of professional talent on that show but, unfortunately, only one of them can win.

Come on, EJ has lived so long with Stefano, what difference does it make he’s not his "blood" son?  All that crap about only trusting a son who has the Dimera blood is a bunch of whooie.  Can you imagine if all adoptive parents acted like that?  There’d certainly be a plethora of miserable kids in this world.

she’s going bananas over the bomb.  Everybody else is calm and sane but she’s acting like a two-year old.  This is the time for Rafe to slap her so she can say, "Thanks, I needed that!"

This entire bomb/safe house thing is soooo ridiculous I can hardly stand to watch.  At least when JER was writing we knew it was campy and off the wall, but this?  OMG!!!  I feel like Patti, I don’t know if I can wait until September to see what the new writers have in store.  Anything will be better than what they’re trying to feed us now.

although, I did enjoy the interaction between Brady and Nichole.  Not that it had anything to do with anything, just filler, but it was nice to see they both care what happens to each other.  I don’t think she has Brady fooled into believing that Rafe is her baby daddy.

The safe house crap was laughable.  I don’t know how those actors can say their lines with a straight face.

Spencer (my grandson’s name also) is the guy they’ve been working with all along.

Good grief, if they can’t even trust the ISA guy to keep it secret…

a safe house stands for.  Too many people already know about it.  Carrie just waltzes in with groceries and no concern someone may have followed her?  But the final straw was the ISA guy (Spencer?) who supposedly has been "following" Stefano for years and turns up working for him?  GMAB!  Are all the ISA guys so stupid?  They must be former Salem PD!

what she did.  I just can’t believe nobody says anything to Lisa about her temper, her foul mouth, and the horrible things she says to Dyana.  That is totally inexcusable, unprofessional, and just plain mean-spirited.  The day she gets voted off I’m going to stand up and cheer.

The more I watch this show, the more I’m convinced that, although not necessarily scripted, it is "directed" to go a certain way.  Even though Dyana doesn’t have a musical background, I think she could have taken better control of the situation.  And I think Clay’s complaints about her were totally contrived.  He could have handled it better also.  It appeared to me that the whole night was completely fabricated to go against Dyana and justify her firing.  Too bad too because she seems to be a very nice person.  (I would not have sat there so calmly and listened to what Lisa was saying.)  But, you know what they say about the nice guy…

It’s really to bad because I’ve always liked this show but it’s proving to me more and more that it is no longer a reality show but a scripted drama.  We are only seeing what the producers want us to see, not what would really be happening without their "assistance/direction."   It’s becoming more apparent on Survivor also.  I’ve always thought Mark Burnett was a very clever guy but I think he’s come to the end of his rope.
