Put Kate and Stefano back together as a couple and have all four of them go bowling or play cards on a Wednesday night after Henderson or "cook" rustles up some BBQ in the kitchen…And Vivy can be sitting in the corner (invited by all) plotting and planning and having BBQ sauce on her face. If Nadia ever got a serious part in a movie like for instance Meryl Streep (not that Nadia is in the same leage as Ms. Streep in the acting dept.) in Sophie’s Choice or Silkwood, (heck, look how Cher shocked everyone with her acting ability and won an Oscar in that movie!!!) I would hate to watch the mother in Sophie’s Choice wear full make up looking beautiful with her top hanging out of her dress in a concentration camp setting.
If Nadia landed some movie role where the actress had to do more than make her eyes tear up or do a pretty pout she’d never get the role…Nadia is talented but she is a Barbie Doll one trick pony – I would love to see her actually "act". Even when she was Ghoul Girl, all she did was hide under the hood until she emerged like a beautiful butterfly or when she got acid in her face – still all the makeup. Even when she was in labor with Parker – not a runny mascara moment at all. No mascara is THAT good.
Hope, (Kristen) in prison, when Zack passed, or when she was in the hospital ill, dresses, the part, no make up, hair mussed. Heck even fashion diva Kate wore a waitress uniform when she was slinging hash at the diner, and wore grubbies when she was gutting fish on the trawler. Sami, (Alison) dresses the part that she does well too (as much as I gritch about her "steadfast favorite lines" – which I don’t blame Alison, I again blame the writers). But I digress, Nadia isn’t believable as a new mother at all. Especially, now that she pawned off Parker after less than a week to a babysitter – after saying all those months how she always dreamed of being a mother. Nancy should come visit and smack her!

Heck, I still have my Betty Crocker (red and white) binder cookbook and the receipes that Mrs. Bahr my home ec teacher ran off for the classes in jr. and sr. high school on a mimograph machine (wayyyyy before printers and computers). Those would qualify as classics as old as they are now. Love cabbage soup though and using the sausage instead of hamburger sounds yummy!

I wonder if the writer’s know who their audience is and that there is more of a percentage of women watching the show than men and we (most) don’t really care to see "girl on girl" action? I could see one fight scene every two or three years because of a circumstance if they tend to go this route, but come on, these women are in their mid-thirties. Haven’t they learned and matured enough to take care of a rival/foe/enemy in a more devious, vengeful and permanent way than wailing on each other like little school boys? Oh, wait, it is Sami and Nicole. Just the same though, remember who you are writing for writers, not a bunch of beer drinking men at a bar or 14 year old boys, that say "cool – hit ’em again!"
and the story would be so much more believable to see a frazzeled new mother the way it is in real life. I don’t mind at all watching the newest fashions on the actresses – it’s fun, but when it goes against the grain of the story, it is distracting to say the least because I keep thinking what someone else said…"Where’s the baby spit-up?" And where are the endless baby bottles on the drainboard in the kitchen or is Chloe doing breast feeding? Where is the stacks of diapers – you don’t always keep them in the baby’s room. I can’t wait to see when Parker is two…will they still have a House Beautiful magazine cover apartment or will there be toys strewn about the place?

Phillip and Mel were also looking for their own place (i.e., mansion) too but that end of the story kind of petered out too…
Salemites do a lot of very weird things all the time, it doesn’t surprise me that Gabby would do her homework in the cold. Although, if Salem is in the mid-west, baby it’s cccccccooooolddddd there this week.
