When on earth did Claire decide that she had a relationship with Hope that was close enough that she should let her in on Rafe? Also, why didn’t Marlena say more when holier than thou Claire stated, “Once a cheater, always a cheater?” Didn’t Marlena cheat with John which led to Claire’s mom’s birth? Not only are these things bothering me, but in reality, Rafe didn’t cheat. He and Hope broke up. This reminds me of Friends when David Schwimmer’s and Jennifer Aniston’s characters “were on a break.” Why couldn’t Claire just go off to Africa!?!
In an otherwise so far entertaining stint by Ron C and his team, this SL is absurd. First off, Rafe should have fessed up with Hope at the getgo. The fact that he thinks they would be through if he told her says a lot. But gossipy needy Claire’s interference in this – a case of manufacturing relationships for da plot – is a stretch.
