They switched actors for Parker! That sucks so bad cause the one before was soooo cute! This new one looks the same age but is definetely not as cute! That little guy had the cutest little smile and he was always smiling! I loved him so much!!!
darling! Second set cute too. At least they have some personality – not like the little "Sydney" actor – she’s cute but no personality at all…she may look like a little Shirley Temple but she sure isn’t like her "brother" Johnny…
Oh I know! Sydney is so adorable but she never smiles and never talks.
I’m thinking she must just be on there for her looks and not her acting ability. Isn’t she like 2 1/2 or something like that? She should be talking or at least responding with "yeah" or "no" or something like that. Who knows? I don’t understand why she is so silent and never looks happy. Must be what the directors want for some reason.But Johnny is 4 I think and those twins are awesome actors! The lines he has are unbelievable for a 4 year old! Allie’s character isn’t nearly as good…or at least she doesn’t have very many lines. I think they just found a really good set of actors for Johnny and they are using them to their advantage.
I never looked at Allie as one of the main characters as Johnny is right now. Allie to me is fluff and filler when they need her but otherwise she’s at Caroline’s or visiting Lucas. Johnny’s had storylines written around him with Rafe and being a Jr. FBI mad, Stefano and EJ spoiling him and Sami/EJ fighting over him.
to Johnny, it was just some crazy story line that they came up with while Lucas was still there…before they decided to send Lucas to China.
I think the next time Allie will be on stage (exept for bit parts like you mentioned DeeLan)…it will be as a troubled teen in the summer of 2016 or so, (yes, I know she’d only be 8, but I’ll just bet the writers age the kids again), Ciera, Theo will be aged also, because by that time Will, Gabby and Chad will be doctors and lawyers or running Titan or the DiMera empire, maybe…just maybe Melanie will have grown up by then (and Sami too), and as they all age, the kids will be aged as well too.
A few quick comments:
The first baby Parker was played by two girls (Ellie & Rose Karchmer). The new Parker who debuted earlier this month is two boys (Anton & Preston LeBlanc).
Elizabeth & Mariam Tovey, who play Sydney, turned 4 in December.
Aaron & Grrifin Kunitz, who play Johnny, turn 6 next month.
Thanks for that info! Where do you get that info anyway? I looked on IMDb and it only shows one person with a single name (last or first? IDK) but apparently they haven’t been updating the list of characters on a regular basis.
Unbelievable that Sydney’s portrayers are 4! Wow! They sure don’t look that old! They look 2 1/2 like Sydney is on the show. Johnny looks 4 or 5 at the most. They must be really short. I noticed the hight difference between Sydney and Johnny when Sami had them walking into their rooms together…Sydney was not too much shorter than Johnny, maybe a half a foot or so difference. But wow! The Kunitz boys sure are awesome actors! The whole "taking the eye out" storyline, they were really good!

And since you mention Ciera and Theo, those two are awesome actors too! Ciera is always so into what she is doing. And Theo, wow! He should really get an emmy for what he does cuz he portrays a boy with autism and he’s really good at it! Bravo!!!
I wish they would have more of a storyline for Allie. Although it would be really sad, I was kind of disappointed that they didn’t have the DiMeras capture her because that would have made a good storyline in a way, rather than sending her to Hong Kong. Even still though, I was relieved that they got her out of the country before they got her. But it kind of leaves her story dead. I hope she does come back because Sami should really have at least part-time custody of her. It sounded like she was just going to visit Lucas, not stay there forever, but yeah, as someone else said, the writers probably regret having her being Johnny’s twin. But since she is his twin, she should be around because those two have always been super close.
the Parker we saw yesterday was certainly an adorable baby too. Although he didn’t smile, I thought he was very cute. I just can’t believe how they come up with such good babies. I don’t think my kids stopped crying until they were two years old. (Punishment, my mom said, for what I did to her!)
As far as Sydney’s acting, I’m thinking they are just bringing her around very slowly to get her used to the sets, other actors, etc. Sure, they could get a seasoned kid to play the part but I’m they probably have reasons why they picked the one they did. (Cheaper for non-speaking parts?) I think we’ll eventually see her have some lines and have to emote a little.
Look how they did with Sami and Eric. They were both gone for a while then Sami shows up as a teen/pre-teen and Austin’s still in Colorado until they’re out of high school. So far I think Bo’s the only one that’s had his kid from infancy to adult with the exception of the summer Shawn went to baseball camp and aged several years. I don’t count Hope in there since she was gone for a lot of his childhood.
but I’m a sucker for pudgy cheeked, blue eyed blonds (same as my youngest grandson was, and is to this day). I even think these little boys look more like Philip than the twin girls did, but the girls did have adorable smiles and seemed to smile all of the time. As for the little actress who plays Sydney, if she’s 4 IRL and the Kunitz twins are 6, then I agree, they may be a little on the short side, but it’s hard to tell on TV. I think the little girl playing Sydney is warming up to the cast a bit. I think I even saw her smile the other day. She seems to respond, or at least smile, with almost everybody working with her now except who she’s supposed to be responding to …. Nicole. Ari doesn’t seem to have the rapport with this little actress like she did with the first Sydneys. As for Ally, I think they did a perfect cast for Sami’s daughter, and props to the casting director for her intuition to make one twin look like Sami, and Johnny to resemble E.J. (I’m still hoping he’s Lucas’, but I think that train pulled out of the station a long time ago.) I like that they sent her off to Lucas for a while, since I would not have wanted to live through another child kidnapping. I still have my doubts about Ciera recovering from that one yet, as well. That aside, I think Laura Boles is one of the most beautiful little girls in soapland, and she sure does resemble Hope. Great casting there as well, and she’s gotten a whole lot better than when she first appeared on the show. The little boy who plays Theo is as cute as can be, and I’ve seen him in some commercials acting like a perfectly happy, healthy 6-7 year old little boy, thinking to myself, wow, I guess he really does play the part well of Lexi and Abe’s autistic son after all. I didn’t think so at first. Anyway, Kidstarz is the stage mother’s delight when the child is guided toward show business very early in life, and I have to say they do a good job. All kids are shy at first, but they sort of grow into the part after they get to know the cast more. As usual, this is JMHO!
but I’m sure the originals (twin girls) were starting to look like little girls. Safer to switch to boys before it becomes obvious they weren’t.
I noticed he was different too, but I also think this new baby is so cute! he was sort of smiling yesterday when chloe and Phillip were talking at the pub. I think I fell asleep the last 20 minutes or so, i dont remember how it ended. i think the last I saw was Stefano and Chad were done playing chess. what happened in the last 20 mintues???
