I got a kick out of that because it is what I called my Italian grandfather. But Stefano as a caring Nono? Boggles the mind.

That’s what I called my grandfather on my dad’s side too.

in of course, his own way, so it doesn’t surprise me that he is a loving and caring grandfather.  Even bad guys when they get a bit closer to the Pearly Gates tend to mellow.

I was just about to come and post my surprise.  Maybe somebody can refresh my recollection when Nicole and Johnny became so close.  I know she was around briefly when Sydney was in the storyline, but really it amazes me how the writers are trying to make Nicole out to be the only one who can soothe Johnny.  What a joke.  If Nicole has interacted with Johnny in anything more than a scene or two here and there, I might see her being the only one to calm him, but this is all a stupid plot by the writers to keep Sami away from her kids.  I can’t wait until she (Sammi) gets her just desserts on both Nicole and Junior, who, I might add, looks even worse with getting his head shaved again.  I hope Johnny grows up hating his family with a passion the likes of which none of them will ever be able to guess would happen.  This child is being mentally abused by his own family.  He wants his mother, you idiots.  Even Lexi sees it.

we never saw much of them together when Nicole was hooked up with EJ, he was either on a walk with Mary, or napping.  Nikki only had eyes for EJ in the sack and time for Sydney.  I have thought for many a story line and their so-called "twist" on a story line that the writers do not believe in continuity of a story, they ebb and flow as to what suits their brain buckets on a particular day and time.
