Just have to say Lucas looks great! I love his short haircut. That longer shaggy look did nothing for him, but he looks so handsome in Thursday’s show.
I like the longer hair myself. Just my preference. I hope they give him a good story and not continue to write him as some pathetic whining complainer. It was kinda’ nice to hear him owing up to Maggie after his confrontation with Chloe and Daniel, admitting that he made mistakes, too. Now, give me my Lucas in a good, meaty story, but I’ll take him and Sami remaining just friends, thank you. I love her with Rafe too much, and Sami with THREE men chasing after her would be waaaaay toooooo much for this fan to bear.
It is so good to have Lucus back; he does look great.
Patti, I agree completely that he should have a better s/l for a change. I would love to see him be more mature, shouldering his own responsibilities and also able to help others. I hope he can be strong, independent, and a winner. He deserves a change for the better after all these years.

Patti, I was going to start my post with an apology to you but then read yours and see you agree with me about Lucas’ hair. I don’t like it that short either. It gives him a kind of punk-like appearance.
I sure wanted to kick him in the pants though the way he talked to Chloe. And she just stood there and took it. She should have told him to shut his stupid mouth and walked away from him. So many people on this show do that when someone is putting them down. I don’t think it’s natural to just stand there and take it without throwing some kind of an insult back at them.
I think Lucas is a total JERK. His time in rehab didn’t do him any good at all. He’s just as hateful and nasty as ever.
I think they are turning people against Lucas because the writers have finally made up their minds about who to pair Sami with and it’s not Lucas. This way Sami and Lucas fans won’t care or be so disapointed.
Also, I think not matter what they do to Lucas’s hair he still looks like a little kid!
Lucas is back w/a short hair cut which suits me fine. God gave Byran a youthful appearance — lucky guy. My thoughts are that Lucas is ‘going straight’ down a road wherein he’ll be a great father figure to Will and good friend to Maggie. He’ll be the warm & forgiving Horton that Philip was talking about. That character of Lucas has always been one to ‘blow’ and then rethink and apologize. It makes him human!
Way back when Will’s parentage became known, Lucas stepped up to being a parent. I appreciated that of him.
Did anyone see the show "A Day in the Life of… that Wally Kurth did when he filmed soap actors going about their daily routines? Bryan Datillo’s day involved his visitation day with his son and going to his parents house. The part Bryan brings to Lucas on screen is believeable when you’ve seen him in real life.
I don’t know why they even bothered bringing him back. He has no storyline and I don’t see any potential for him. It doesn’t look like a relationship with Sami is in the future and there’s really nobody else around for him to be involved with. The only reason I can see for keeping him is he’s a Horton (albiet as an afterthought and I have a hard time thinking of him as one), and there’ just ain’t many of them left!
