So I think the show is getting much better.
I liked that Brandon was able to play nice with Nadia’s mom in order to help her overcome her anxiety about singing the national anthem. I can’t believe she forgot the words the first time! Must have been nervous.
Farah and JP are starting to grow on me. I think her family should just relax and let them be. She stated her case to her father very well about how she is okay with not having kids so her clock isn’t ticking. She will give him time and if he never asks then she will decide when it’s time fore her to move on. Fair enough. I thought they were very cute together in this episode. It helped me to understand their relationship much better. Now JP’s pants and foul language on his golf outing with her dad…..that I will never understand!
Kelly…her family seems really nice an supportive. I am glad she was able to get what she needed to off her chest with her ex and hopefully she is ready to move on. The only thing that bugs me is everyone seems to be kind of blowing off her weight issue. They brought it up a number of times but then they just laughed about it. 92 pounds? I don’t know how tall she is but even at 5 feet nothing, that’s too thin. She looks very different from previous photos.

Finland/Norway or something like that? If so, she may not have been raised singing the anthem. It was interesting that she never had a photo of her dad playing/singing with her. I agree about Kelly’s family. I was not impressed at all with her ‘ex’. He just would not have been someone I would have matched with her.

Yes I think they are from Norway. I thought about that too. I just figured if you’re going to sing the anthem you would think you would have it memorized but it happens to lots of people who have been singing it their whole lives so I guess it could just be nerves.
Kelly’s ex was not attractive at all but then again she has known him since they were kids so he’s not a Hollywood pretty boy type I guess.

I’m sorry but I just can’t have any respect for her mother. What a horrible way to talk to the man your daughter is obviously very deeply in love with. Brandon seems to bend over backward to make Nadia happy.
There’s a new show on cable called Monsters-In-Law. The second show reminded me of Nadia’s mother, always putting her SIL down. I’m really surprised Brandon puts up with her but I guess he’s just a true gentleman.
Speaking of Kelly’s weight…OMG! NO adult should only weight 92 lbs. Someone better get her to a doctor.
That woman is revolting. She reminds me of Kate Roberts. Nothing or no one is ever good enough for her daughter, so she decides to make him as miserable as she possibly can, hoping she can break them up. I think she watches DOOL and thinks she IS Kate. I’m sure Brandon is deeply in love with Nadia, but she better watch it; a person can only take so much. I realize they both do their best to ignore that witch, and I do give them credit for always turning the other cheek, but I just can’t see anyone putting up with a lifetime of that rude, obnoxious, critical woman without one day just throwing up his hands and walking away from it all.
let her Mom know that she is being nasty to the man she loves and that she wants it to stop. Brandon seems to be alone in dealing with Mother Nasty.
When I wrote Norway it just didn’t feel right. Maybe because I’m half Norwegian. It was definitely Sweden.
She is just about the most insulting, obnoxious witch one could ever imagine. I can’t believe how she talked to that decorator and then had the nerve to tell Nadia she had hurt HER feelings. OMG! That woman definitely needs to be put in her place. I just wonder how long Brandon is going to be able to tolerate her. I don’t know how a relationship could possibly survive all that.
It looks like next week Nadia is going to confront her about it. She pulls no punches the way she insults people, Nadia ought to take off her kid gloves and let her have it in the same way. I’m afraid if she were my mother, she’d either get a severe warning and some pretty tough rules to follow or she’d be out of my life completely.
I thought at first he was Farah’s brother but not if he is going to donate eggs for him. And who would be the surrogate. Is he gay and is that other guy with the facial hair his partner? I guess I missed something somewhere about these two guys. She seems to be very close to him so just wondered what the relationship is there.
Galin went waaaay overboard with that karate stuff. If he’s not careful, he’s going to create a monster there. It doesn’t seem like those boys get any kind of serious disipline. He should have gotten a time-out or something for kicking over that toy, especially after having just punched the lamp. A five-year old should know better than that.

I do think Nadia should have kept her mother out of decorating her place since she didn’t plan to go with her plans and inviting her along with her "friend" the other paid decorator didn’t make sense. Given this woman’s opinion of herself, how else would she react to a paid decorator especially when she is very "b-itchy" normally?
Galen is obviously a big kid and is only half parent and half playmate. I get the feeling that Jenna hasn’t learned much about what you have to do to get kids to behave. The way the karate kid reacted after, ‘sorry’ tells me he may know some right from wrong but is pushing the limits because he can.
JP/Farah: I just don’t see them lasting for the long haul without a lot of growing up and compromising.
Kelly: She seems very hyperactive to me. Even with trying to gain weight, I didn’t feel she really wants to but thinks she’ll try to do it because people are saying she’s too thin while she’s also in constant "bounce" mode.
I guess Kirstin is off screen for a while?
best friends. It seems like her relationship with him and his partner is better than her’s with JP, to me. He seems to provide her with what she needs and wants while JP doesn’t. He flew from CA to NY to support her? That’s a true friend!
I feel that we must keep in mind this is a reality show. A show has a script and roles to play, otherwise it could become very boring.
Galen and jenna don’t seem to have much discipline and the boys have little consequences to their actions. Rmrmber his son locking the bedroom door? Galen seems like a kid himself.
Farah’s boyfriend is not very supportive, she gets support from her friend Danny.
I a not sure how much is true and how much is script, but do enjoy watching.
So is Kirsten out of this show also?
Nadia’s mother is a nightmare and needs to be put in her place. Outspoken is one thing but what this woman is doing to Brandon and the decorator and even strangers is just plain rude. Nadia should not tolerate it. She has tried to gently talk to her about it but I think she needs to be more firm.
Kelly has some sort of eating disorder. You don’t need to go to a cooking class to "learn how to eat properly" nutrition is important but she is just starving herself. When your trainer tells you not to do any cardio…you’re too skinny. She’s 92 freakin pounds and no class is going to fix that in 1 week. She went to the Shape photo shoot just as skinny as she was when her mom told her she looked like a skeleton. It’s lip service. The girl has a problem. It’s alarming actually how little focus is being placed on it.
I like JP but I don’t think he’s going to propose. He is a man-baby and wants to remain so. Farah will eventually figure it out.
I agree Galen’s kids could use a bit more discipline.
had a woman on the show who’s daughter was living with a guy (engaged) and she was acting exactly like Nadia’s mother. Dumping on the guy big time and wouldn’t let even Dr. Phil cool her down. She had a very unusual first name too which made me wonder if it was Persian. That poor guy was never going to please this woman either. Dr. Phil basically asked the young woman if she loved the guy and would she be willing to ignore (separate from) her mother to be with him.
