My thoughts were, he may play comedy well but he just isn’t very good at drama.  But I don’t blame him entirely.  I thought that scene was very far fetched.  Unless you absolutely hated your kid before, there’s no way a father would talk to his son like that, I don’t care how much he’s grieving.

You know, I’m beginning to wonder if the writers have conveniently forgotten Chad is adopted.  I thought the way things were going, it would have come up in the heat of the battle.  I expected something like Joe (can’t help but call him that) saying Madeline was the one who wanted to adopt him, he never wanted to.

I thought Chad was also really struggling to deliver his lines.  I just don’t think they hit the nail on the head that time.  It could have been soooo much better.  Grade:  F-

that I didn’t believe it for a second. “Joe” didn’t looked shocked or sad or anything but P.O’d at his son.

complete ass while blasting Chad.  He had no concern or compassion for ‘his son’ or his feelings.  All I saw from ‘Joe’ was anger and disgust.  What a poor excuse for a grieving husband and father.

I’m still wondering if Chad being adopted wasn’t partially true.  Look at what Sami did with Grace.  Told everyone she was adopted.  Madeline could have done the same thing, said Chad was adopted to keep people from questioning.  Also, the DA could have adopted him as a lot of men adopt their wives children after they get married.

all the way around.  And then you have Kate and Stefano listening in on what should have been a very private conversation.  D.A. Woods was horrible to Chad in the accusatory way he spoke to him, but I suppose in that instance you can chalk it up to shock.  But, I agree that it almost seemed that he never wanted Chad in their lives.  I’m not sure if he knows who Chad’s biological father is — it would seem he does not; otherwise, he might have toned down laying the guilt complex on Chad.  Kate knows, but I wonder if she will tell Stefano the truth, as it is quite obvious to me now that Chad is Stefano’s son after some of her comments when she was trying to console Chad.  I hope the writers do this storyline right, because it could become an exciting one affecting more than just Chad if, indeed, Chad is Stefano’s son.

casting here. I think he’s on his way out anyway. Rejection of his son, wife dead, time to go….I’d lay odds on this one. There’s really no storyline here (with the DA) once Stephano discovers Chad’s his son.

But, as I said in another post, they seem to be disregarding it or maybe there has been no reason for bringing it up except that they want us to be shocked when it’s revealed who his parent(s) really is/are.

Maybe the writers have changed their minds to make for a better storyline, again thinking we viewers have the IQ of a turnip and wouldn’t remember.  No offense daysfanforever.    I meant the other viewers.

but has it ever been mentioned if he (Chad) knows he’s adopted?  Interesting, now that I think about it.  Maybe D. A. Woods adopted Chad when he married Madeline, and that’s been the whole reason for his animosity toward Chad in the first place.  Madeline would have been his biological mother, but already had Chad when she met and eventually married D.A. Woods.  She said when she got out of the "business" that she left Salem, went to law school, graduated and became a lawyer.  Maybe she worked with the D.A. when he was a young attorney, they fell in love, eventually married, etc., etc.  Chad would be the D.A.’s adopted son, but Madeline is his biological mother, and the D.A. has always been resentful toward Chad.  Boy, is this one going to hit the fan when the truth comes out, and you’d better watch out, Kate.  Didn’t you promise Stefano not to ever hide the truth from him again?
