Was I the only one who had trouble hearing what they were saying due to the rain effects?  I thought that it was very annoying.

I like how it only seemed to be raining on Will.

as with so many other things they do on Days, they overdid the darkness to a fault.  Even the DiMansion didn’t have all the lights on.  It was just way too obvious what they were doing which kinda makes it fall flat.

And didn’t you find it incredible that everybody had the foresight to have their raincoats with them?  The Marlena/John/Bo/Hope gang must have known it was going to rain.  I didn’t see any raincoats yesterday and they haven’t been home to get them.

me laugh at how silly it appeared.  Pouring in the scene with Will/Gabi and then the next two characters, sorry don’t remember who, were walking in the town square with not a drop of rain.  Bizarrre!

Gabi is turning into a desperate nutjob and Chad is just plain dumb with believing her!  Call the cops guys!!

I seem to recall early on that was mentioned.

if this show doesn’t go off the air due to bad writing, it will from nit-picking, but we just can’t help ourselves, can we?  I thought the rain was a nice change of effect.  Was it perfect?  Hell, no, but it was fake rain, probably falling from a huge sprinkler system.  I liked the set-up for the dark and stormy night, setting up the ‘whodunit’ mystery we will obviously see today.  The only thing with the rain that was clearly not done well for me was the fact that when Gabi bumped into Will in that alley, Will was drenched, and Gabi, who was not inside the Horton Town Square but supposedly outside meeting her prepaid stalker, did not have a drop of rain on her cute little yellow slicker.  That one was obvious; the rest for me was very effective and very soapy.  Sorry, but sometimes I think we doth protest too much!  LOL!

that it was raining, I thought it was a nice change and very realistic that they show different kinds of weather once in a while. However, right away I realized it was all for the "murder" setup. It was a somewhat overdone and way too obvious, but still sort of a nice change of pace. They should just have it snow, rain, storm, etc. when nothing else is going on. I like to see a weather change now and then.

Exist in Salem I’m sure, lol as do downpours and periods of light to no rain.

But I do agree that it was hard to hear gabby talk and it did seem to have a dark overtone yesterday.  Except for Dan and Nicole lol.

and really have no criticism (can you believe?) of how they did it.  It made me wonder if they were pouring water on the entire set being filmed.  If so, that must take some clean-up.  And I didn’t mind the darkness, it was appropriate for the storyline.  It was just so apparent when they even had some of the lights off in the DiMansion.

As for the Horton Square, I guess it now confirms that it is covered.  I imagine it being somewhat like downtown Las Vegas, covered yet open on the sides.  That’s why we see them wearing coats sometimes.

Patti, as far as nit picking, we have been doing that for as long as I have been on the internet soap sites (1995).  Before here I was on alt.tv.soaps.misc.  I only left because of all the name-calling and fighting (it was incredibly horrible!!!).  But we nit picked the show (AND the actors/characters) constantly on there.  I think that’s one enjoyable thing about these sites, that we CAN voice all these silly things they do and agree or disagree with each other.  Can you imagine what we’d have to read if we cancelled out all the nit picking?  Not much!  :o)

just an overall opinion I have about nit-picking.  Wasn’t making it about you personally.

but that’s just me.  Nit-pick away if that’s what you like to do.  I certainly get my share in when I feel it’s obvious, but sometimes I just feel it’s too much of it.  I will say that this board is nowhere near as bad with nit-picking as some others I read.
