Denying Family History

You tell me how odd it is that when Constantine heard the dynamics of Eli’s promotion, he makes a call, then they play up that Eli & Lani were willing to stay by being talked into staying & then questioning whether or not they should accept the promotion & then with Eli not being suspicious at all & or not knowing everything at all about Constantine, that he tips off Constantine about who’s he’s working for & describes what he would be doing, that it isn’t suspicious at all that Constantine had to hear about the details of the promotion, if Eli’s promotion might pose a risk to Constantine, remember, Eli was shot by Lani’s birth-father, wasn’t he?
