I just wrote this big long post about Carly and it never showed up. What gives? I’ll try again…
I decided to completely put the character of Carly Manning aside and just focus on Crystal Chappel. My conclusion was that I really like her and like her with Bo, in spite of the way this SL has being written. I recalled the chemistry they had before, and again, putting the writing aside, see it once more.
So, I’m thinking (yeah, scary, I know!), what if they completely ruined Bope intentionally so they can go forward with Barly as the new "super couple." I can see that happening. Just try putting aside your dislike for what Carly has done and see if you don’t honestly think they are good together.
So, if that’s what TPTB (Edited by JennM – no bashing) decide to do, I’ll be okay with it. Heck, maybe they can bring on some new hunky man for Hope. (I really don’t want her with Justin, although, I don’t know what they’d do with him then and I really don’t want to lose him.)
Thoughts?
My thought is that the writer’s just need to leave Bo and Hope alone!! They have been together since the very beginning and while I know that there has to be some ‘angst’ between couples, they put them through that by losing Zack. I think we should be able to have just one couple who stand beside one another regardless. One that shows their love and affection for one another, and is true to one another. THAT is what makes a couple, and the writers need to just let them be. I don’t mind Carly and did like her a Bo together when Hope was ‘dead’, but not now. I say bring back the ‘good old’ Days or just cancel the show already. What the writers are doing to this show is criminal!
I liked Bo and Carly together and I thought they had chemistry. But for some reason I don’t see it anymore. I honestly think Carly has way more chemistry with Justin. I think once the full truth comes out and Carly is wrapped up in Mel’s life that her and Bo will realize they are not meant to be together. I think at that point the healing will begin with Hope and Bo because Hope will realize why Bo wouldn’t tell her the truth.
I’m so sick of what’s going on between Bo and Hope right now that I don’t care who either one ends up with.
I liked Carly when she was with Bo before but I don’t see much between them now except the damsel in distress and the hero on the white horse wanting to protect her and ruining his life and those around him by doing that. I don’t see what the harm would be if they told Hope the truth from the beginning. She might have been able to help them in some way but NOOOOOO, the writers are using this plot as another way to push a wedge between Bo and Hope to the point their fans don’t care anymore.
I don’t mind if Carly stays in Salem, after all they do need another doctor but why must everyone be hooked up with someone else from the very beginning.
When Hope found out Carly was in town it was within hours that Carly was being arrested. So how can Bo trust that if Hope knew the truth that Viv would not find out within hours. Hope living with Victor causes the issues, if Hope hadn’t decided to move into Victor’s place this SL would be way different.
a much earlier post but you said it better. Why can’t we have one couple that comes through heck and high water time and time again, but they are together through thick and thin? Alice and Tom. John and Marlena. Doug and Julie. Just one couple writer’s – that’s all we fans are asking for. We want the drama, the intrigue, the lost islands, the cruises, the Myan temples, the vats of acid, the Princess Gina’s, Stefano’s strangness and all that but we’d just like one couple to stay a couple through it all.
I can in no way see Carly and Bo a super couple. I mean come on why in the world would Bo and Hope break up and they make Carly a super couple with him???? It would be absurd. I mean look at the years Bo and Hope have been together, all that they have gone through, the worst losing a child. If going through that and your marriage surviving doesn’t make you the strongest couple in the world, then it’s a sad sad day. I think the way this is being written is pathetic and sad. I think Carly is pretty much a two letter word that starts with an H and ends with an O. I mean she has no respect for anything or anyone, including herself. Seriously I mean who in their right mind would jump in the sack with someone who isn’t even talking divorce to their wife (more like a separation that isn’t even legal) and honestly think oh we’re gonna live the rest of our lives together, forever. It’s disgusting, and as a viewer who liked Carly way back in the day, I can’t stand her now and the sight of her nearly makes me vomit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
