Just found out the actress who plays Mia has been let go…I guess there wasn’t much else for her to do anyway.
I found her acting to be as entertaining as watching wallpaper peel! She’s pretty but her range of expression is zip!
Isn’t this ‘slamming’ her personally? She’s still young. She will only get better as time goes on. I actually thought she was a breath of fresh air, until the writer’s turned her into this ‘vindictive, get what I want regardless of who gets hurt character’. So I don’t blame the atress at all, it is the way she is being written now. At the beginning of the story, everybody (well most) loved her!
I agree kpstrs, they shouldn’t have changed her character.
First GH fires Drew Garret who plays a great Michael, and now Days fires Taylor Spreitler? What’s the soap world coming to?!
*Oh and I guess the guy who’s coming on to play Mia’s love interest/friend will have to be changed.
I wish that there was more consistency with the writing. We have all complained about that. There is no history and they bounce the characters around to their whim. It’s like going grocery shopping, one week they have your brand, the next week it’s all generic.
I just don’t think she did a very good job. Maybe she’s young, but her work did not impress me even a little. She was very wooden, almost robotic, and did not carry her lines well at all, IMHO. I will say in her favor that she was better as the bad girl than the good one. She had more drive, but her work still needed work, if you know what I mean. I have always said that she is a beautiful young girl, but one who needs further acting lessons.
So does this mean all the teen guys will be in love with Gabi now?! That will be a snooze fest, too.
Since Will broke up with her and Chad ditched her too, I was wondering if there would be any purpose to her character especially since she has no family to speak of in Salem. Now if they could just get rid of that horrid mean girl that shows up every now and then–I forgot her name, but that’s no surprise since I found her character unworthy of my viewing time.
All the webs sites were hailing Mia as the "new Sami", the bad girl. It seemed like they had a story line for her now all of a sudden it is "plot dictated". What plot?. Just seems strange given the summer is coming and they always concentrate on the teens in the summer. HAs anyone heard anymore about the rumor that they were thinking of having a gay teen boy on the show? ( at one time it was rumored to be Will)
