Anybody else here a Red Sox fan???  It’s exciting here in Boston even though they lost last night’s game.  So they head to St. Louis even at one game apiece.   Looking forward to the games this weekend but I’m filled with so much anxiety over them!  I know, it’s only a game.  But here’s to the Sox taking it all!   It’s also been special at Fenway the last two nights as they’ve been paying tribute to the victims, first responders, etc. of the Boston Marathon bombings and they’ve had some of the bombing victims at the game.  Very touching.  Nice to have a real special and fun event in Boston again.

I’ve followed them from my father who came from R.I. I go back to the days of Yaz and Fisk and all the heartbreak til that remarkable 21st century end to the “Bambino Curse.”
Is David Ortiz a warrior or what?!
They did mess up a chance last night with fielding miscues (dare I bring up the infamous Bill Buckner?!) to maybe take a two game advantage.
I give the Cards the edge in the series because of their pitching lineup. But hope I’m wrong!

I just want to forget about last night.  They certainly didn’t play their best.  It was better Wed. night with the Cardinals making a ton of errors.  It would have been great if the Sox had the two game advantage but since it is what it is, I try to look at it as adding more excitement now to the games with an even series.  Now Ortiz will be at 1st base which stinks because now our pitchers have to hit.  I know it’s the National league rule but I don’t think it’s fair, especially for the World Series.  I haven’t read in what position Napoli will play.

Though I don’t want this series to go to a game 7, it would be kind of exciting to have game 7 on Halloween night.  I love Halloween, and Boston and Fenway would be crazier than ever!  Just don’t know if I want it to go down to the wire like that.

but with mixed emotions, I must admit. On the one hand, I was hoping our Orioles would be in the running this year, but since we sort of fell apart, I’ll just sit back and root for the Red Sox, since they are in our division. What great pitchers they have. That’s where our failure lies; we just can’t seem to get a strong pitching staff where we have at least 4 really great starters. Our bull pen didn’t do too badly, but not good enough. Anyway, GO BOSTON!!!!

That one hurt, but you can’t say, except for the blowout game this isn’t an exciting series. At this point I hope it goes seven because I don’t see Boston winning in six.

So I root for any team playing the Cardinals.

    GO RED SOX!

I have to think this will go seven, the way it’s going with these two teams. A finale on Halloween night at Fenway sure would be something. Talk about a “Green” Monster Mash!!

Thinking about the Sox win last night was the only thing that propelled me out of bed this Monday morning!  Could have used more sleep….Soooooooo happy that we know for sure they’ll be playing at least one game at Fenway on Wed.  Will make it extra tense to go to a game 7, but yeah, Halloween night at Fenway will be wild and awesome!!!  What a frenzy that will be!

Last night just a good example about good pitching stopping good hitting. Note to Cardinals: why are you even pitching to the onfire David Ortiz? Pappy is just in the zone bigtime right now.
Back to Fenway where the Sox should be able to take one of two. But likely not without some more drama!

Casey, I am beyond excited!!  I was so happy the game ended a tad before 11:00 last night but then I was wired and couldn’t settle down for a while.  Can’t wait for tomorrow night but I am glad for the little reprieve tonight.  I can get caught up on shows and pick out my costume for work on Thursday.

We hope they can win one at home.  I think they will do it.  Last night on the news they said that the Sox haven’t won a World Series at Fenway since 1918.  They’ve always been away when they clinch the title.  Time to do it now!!!!

From worst to first – three titles in ten years after all those decades of heartache. These guys played their guts out all season and truly deserve the glory. And how terrific for their loyal Red Sox Nation to witness the clinch on their storied home field.
Thanks for the wonderful ride, guys!!

We at Red Sox Nation are ecstatic!!  Wow, you could feel the energy at Fenway last night even by just watching it on TV.  It’s been 95 years since they clinched a World Series title at home.  Couldn’t happen to a better group of guys who just love playing baseball!

Boston is crazy happy today.  Bunch of us sleepless people walking around with giant smiles on our faces.  The parade here is on Saturday.  Woo hoooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Can you tell I’m happy??

I didn’t go into Boston for the parade; I decided to watch it from home.  It was incredible and these players so deserved this.  It was especially moving when some of the players got out of the Duck boats at the Marathon finish line and people were singing "God Bless America". Very touching and shows what a class act these guys are on and off the field.  The  parade was a nice way to contribute to Boston’s healing.   These guys exemplified teamwork, unity, spirt and goodwill.  Couldn’t have happened to a better group of guys.  Congrats Red Sox!
