at least did get to say goodbye to Maggie and Carly and Jen before the show ended.  Stefanie, as far as I can tell, did not even tell anybody she was leaving.  It was like she was just leaving an unwanted conversation with Dario about Melanie and then returning to work.  As far as I can remember, she didn’t even give notice at the hospital.  Really, really bad.

beautiful girl, voice like an angel, but votes just didn’t go her way.  She did make it a lot further than Pia, though.

I don’t think she deserved to go home yet.  I think it should have been Jacob.  Thing is, I think besides the judges, Pia, herself, thought she was a shoe-in and was shocked beyond belief when Ryan said she was leaving.  Guess she didn’t have as many fans at home as she had at the judges’ table.  I really believed it would be Jacob, not only because of the way he sang the late, great MJ’s song, but because of his little self-centered speech he gave afterward.  Puleeeze, Iman, GMAB.  You’re not that good.  In any case, I’m not sorry it was Pia…….I’m sorry it was Pia NOW and not later.  She should have been safe, even before Stefano, who still will be saved because of his popularity.   These young female voters probably look at him like a Justin Beiber type idol of theirs, and he’ll probably be sticking around for a while, no matter how he sings.  Anyway, Pia will be okay.  They’re (the industry sharks) probably lined up in the wings, contracts in hand, waiting for her to come off-stage.

and I also think he loses when he wants to lose, or feels it’s not necessary to win, especially now that there’s individual immunity.  I think he has the rest of the show all planned out, including if he’s sent to Redemption Island.  He is a sneaky dog, and I have thought that from the first time I saw him.  He knows exactly what he’s doing at all times, and the fact that he has all of these other people fooled, including what their new name means (something him and Amber made up about all her animals —- gag me, please), shows he cares about no one.  And all of these stupid people, including Julie, who I have a high amount of respect for, fell for it, hook, line and sinker.  I just hope somebody takes him down or they all get together and break the spell he seems to have them under, and take him down and then out.  He’s a real dog.

Every time a show, any show, whether it’s DOOL or another soap opera, decides to recast a character using an actor with a drastically visible difference in height, weight, size, or any other physical attribute that cannot be changed, like hair color, or even eye color (colored lenses), then it becomes a joke to the audience, and that’s why I believe, and always will, that Stefano DiMera is nothing more than a joke when he becomes part of a story line that calls for a Dr. Frankenstein rather than a Tony Soprano, which is what he is supposed to be on this show.  A powerful mob-type don, who shows no mercy, and would kill his own brother, but loves his immediate family and would protect them with his life.  I hate the Frankenstein role, and never will enjoy a story line where such nonsense is based.  It insults my intelligence, and it should do the same thing for an actor like Joe Mascolo.  I stop at Joe because he has played many other roles in film, and why he chose to stop at soaps was certainly his choice, but a man of his character, who has always been a credit to his career, is suddenly the butt of jokes, contractually glued to bad writers until they are ready to release him.  Sorry, but I don’t think he needs the money.  I would rather see him play more of a James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano)  role any day than that of Gene Wilder (Young Frankenstein), unless he could be as hilarious as Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks and mean to play it that way, and I don’t think that’s what his role as Stefano DiMera demands; but it’s what he’s become.  JMHO

a kids’ show called Fresh Beat Band, and I was shocked to see it was her.  She looked about 15 years old, but it is for kids, with singing and dancing.  I think it was on the Disney channel.  I don’t know for sure, my granddaughters watch it, but I had to look twice to make sure it was her, and it was.

he’s sort of like Haley in that he has that ‘growl’ and although he knows how and when to use it, he’s starting to sound like those singers who fall into that mode of ‘everything sounds the same,’ and I don’t know if that’s going to be enough this season with so much talented diversity being shown by some of the other contestants.  What stands out for me with Casey is what Steven said about him last night in that he is a ‘complete’ musician, not just a singer.  He is undoubtedly an accomplished instrumentalist with his stand-up base, guitar and that funny little instrument (don’t know what it’s called) he played when he auditioned.  I’m sure he can play piano as well.  I’m just not sure that with all of this talent this year, that it will be enough for Casey to survive, but I do like him a lot.

I’m a little afraid for Stefano.  He’s still trying to sing these great songs in a key that is too high for him, IMO.  It makes him look like he is straining too much to hit some of his notes.  Loved the song, though.  Don’t know why I can’t seem to warm up to Lauren.  She’s got a great voice, but for some reason I see her as a fake …. don’t ask me why, I just do.  I do like Haley, but I think she’ll wind up in the bottom 3 tonight, simply because everyone else except for Jacob was better.  Plus, I don’t know how many of these young voters can appreciate Janis Joplin’s music.  Sweet, sweet Scottie singing my favorite sexy Elvis’ "That’s Alright Mamma" was FABULOUS.  He was absolutely one of my favorites last night, and I loved the way he took control of the song, and his voice was perfect for Elvis.  Everyone else was fabulous last night, and it’s going to be a matter of everyone voting for their favorites as to who goes through and who goes home tonight.  Love, love, love James and he really shocked everybody with slowing down the rock and roll theme last night.  He is a very talented young man who is still going through a lot of trials and tribulations in his life, and he seems to be handling them beautifully, and all with a terrific talent.  I wish him all the best and hope he goes all the way.  Hope his choice to slow things down last night didn’t hurt him, but I don’t think it will because he seems to be very very popular with the voters.  Great show!!!

I didn’t like that rendition of Michael Jackson’s famous "Man in the Mirror".  I will never forget the first time I saw it on video, I thought to myself, "my God, that’s the greatest song I ever heard," and no one, absolutely NO ONE should ever attempt to improve on it or change it.  Jacob did not do that last night, and I think he will be going home soon.  I don’t like the way he moves on stage either.

I thought he had it in his hands looking at it when he first showed up at the asylum with that lunatic male Nurse Ratchett.

they (TPTB) love this girl.  I see only a young woman who couldn’t act her way out of a paper bag, and she’s been on long enough now to realize her quirks drive people crazy.  She is not a popular actress on any board I visit, and on some she’s hated more than Sami Brady, if you can believe that.  Shame……pretty girl, no talent.  One of two halfway acceptable scenes, mostly with Carly, do not an actress make.  Molly Burton has no talent whatsoever, IMHO.  If it’s not her infantile voice, it’s other quirks, like too much teeth/mouth funky expressions, or that pointed finger on just about every other sentence.  Drives me nuts on days I know she’s going to be on.  And now they’re going to try her with Brady????  What the hell is going on with this girl.  Is it their intent to try her with every man on this show until they find one who can stand her.  I don’t particularly like Dario, but I would love to see her fall for him and him treat her like crap.  It would serve her right for all the insane criticism she’s been hanging on him…..especially when you realize who’s doing the criticizing.  Can’t take her at all…..not even when she has a good day.  And stop enabling her, Maggie.  You are not good for her to be around.  You and Daniel are her worst cheerleaders.  At least Carly’s got a reason to tolerate her.  She’s on drugs.  LOL.

but Dayscafe says it’s Will.  Guess we’ll have to wait and see, but it would be easier to believe if it were Chad, since Will and Gabi are pretty exclusive, and Chad seems to be lost in a world of doubt about his identity crisis.  Also, he doesn’t seem too interested in any of the young girls on the show right now.  Of course, he could just be going through his own problems right now realizing that Abby is hell-bent on convincing him not to move into his father’s mansion.  He seems to be very much alone, and not able to open up to anyone, which could be a great lead-in to his discovering what he truly wants, and so far it doesn’t seem to be Abby.  In any case, I would rather it be Chad, but we’ll see where they go with this.  Whatever they decide, I’m sure these writers will be as unconvincing as they always are with any other true-to-life story line.  They’re already screen-testing for this Ryan super-stud, who starts in May, so I’m guessing this will be the beginning of this storyline, and I hate to say it, but unless they do it right, It’s one I’m not looking forward to.
