ParticipantEvery day now seems to be get better and better. If it keeps up this way, I know I can cope with the rest of Dena Higley’s writings. Maybe the shows we are watching now are the ones that the new writers "tweaked." Sure does seem that way.

ParticipantI simply copied the site from SOD. Hope this doesn’t continue on every post.

ParticipantI picked Ryan from the first time I saw him. He was the first to meet Ashley, the first one out of the first limo, and they seemed to have an instant attraction. I know a lot of the guys didn’t like him, but that’s expected; they all try to shoot one another in the foot at some point. I thought he was really sweet, good natured, and genuinely seemed to care for Ashley. Yes, he did talk a lot, though, and for as little time as these guys get so spend quality time with this girl, he should have realized that the last thing she wanted to hear about was his theories on hot water heaters and how to have a better system for heating water. Jesus, Ryan, I would have had to kick you in the butt myself for that use of "quality" time.

ParticipantCarly’s surprise saving grace. I don’t think he will abandon her in the end after all.

Participanton Stefano’s health, and we will start to see the new power struggle between Chad and E.J., which I sort of look forward to.

Participantstarted on Monday, and from everything I have read, TB’s last day will be September 23rd, and September 26th is when all the new work, reveals and returns begin, and I for one am more than willing to hang in there to wait for the return of the "new" version of the "old" Days of Our Lives. Dee Hall started working yesterday, according to her twitter account, but no mention yet of Drake other than that he will return. She did say something along the lines of how wonderful it was seeing "handsome Johnny" (among others, including Molly, Gary, Eric, etc.) I don’t know if she was talking about Drake, but I sure hope that’s who she meant. Of course, she could have been referring to little Johnny, I suppose.

Participantwhich will be a sad, sad day when it does have to come. Those kids are a gold mine.

Participantbut I don’t think it’s going to happen. He will coax her out of town, but then why keep Quinn? Don’t get me wrong, I like the actor, but who will they connect him with once Vivian departs? Something’s up with this character that the new writers saw a story line connection to. Otherwise, why give him the last name of Hudson? I still believe they will connect him to Rafe’s back-story and Emily at some point down the road. Otherwise, why keep him around …. especially with Nadia leaving the show as well.

Participantbecause Caroline had Sydney with her. That’s why when Sami and Bo and Hope were trying to set their plan into motion, they wanted to get Johnny out of the house. When Sami called Johnny to say goodnight and found out E.J. wasn’t there she asked to speak to Stefano she said that Ali was missing Johnny and she wanted to come and get him and Stefano flatly refused, so Ali was with Sami…..well, with Caroline…. already.

Participantfaux Rafe sitting right in front of them, except for the usual ‘deny, deny, deny’ and he knows that once they had faux Rafe in custody, that it was only a matter of time before he would sing like a canary. I just love the way this is going. What I DON’T like is the fact that they took faux Rafe into custody, and not E.J. or Stefano. Bo locked Nicole up and held her for 72-hours with the lame excuse of "I’ll think of something" when she asked what she was being charged with, and they simply walk away and leave two powerful known criminals with chartered jets and tons of money there. That was a little too much to consider, but I think the show is really trying to show us that Corday wasn’t kidding when he said that, finally, the villains would begin to pay for their crimes. As far as I can determine, although Stefano and E.J. are not Salem’s only criminals, they are the most popular, so it’s a good start, IMO.

Participantseems like I’ve been waiting forever for these scenes from Friday and today.

Participantwith who is sent home each week. I really think all of these couples left have tremendous talent, but if I had to pick a favorite, for me it would be Melanie and Marko. I get chills watching them dance more than anyone else.

Participantas part of the penalty for lying to the police and the costs involved in police investigations, etc., but that’s little consolation for me. She should have been charged with a much more severe crime, and time served should not have been given to her, iMO, since she admitted lying to the authorities and was found guilty on all 4 counts. You just wait and see the worms that will crawl out of the woodwork now that this trial is over. And several of these upstanding, law abiding jury members, who no one seems to want to fault, are now coming out indicating that they felt she was guilty all along, and some are now charging upwards of $50,000.00 for an interview. Nice.

Participantthose weren’t slaps she gave him — they were not one but two closed-fist right hooks right in his lying pie hole. I’m telling you, I was jumping up and down like an idiot, yelling "YOU GO, SAMI….HIT IM’ AGAIN." What a great show. I thought Ali Sweeney did a fantastic job today. I had to laugh at E.J. standing there all smug uttering his famous last words…"you’ll never prove it in court." Uh, isn’t that pretty close to an admission of guilt on your part right there, E.J.? I’m hoping now that they have everything out in the open, and once they put faux Rafe behind bars, he will confess and tell Bo, Hope and Rafe everything they need to know.

ParticipantIt’s getting ridiculous. There has to be some reasonable explanation for it. Either the network or the show or something or someone has made one stupendous deal for this product, or NBC has lost one hell of a lot of other sponsors. Something smells here, and I’m not talking about the baby’s diaper.
