and I was glad that once again they saved Ricky.  Next week they split the partners and each dancer is competing on his/her own behalf, so Ryan leaving will give Ricky an even better chance to shine, because I think she held him back each week by being the weaker performer of the two.  Although, I did not care for his "Broadway" dance this week, he sure did nail it in his solo performance last night.  I forget the name of the young man who was sent home last night, but again the judges made the right decision last night.  Both Ricky and Mitchell were much stronger dancers and deserved to stay in the competition.  Still rooting for Melanie and Marko, but now they will be judged individually.  Looking for them in the finals though.

and because of the gifted and talented, not to mention gorgeous,  James Scott, I want to see E.J. exactly as Chad described him …. suave and sophisticated, sometimes good/sometimes bad boy with a heart, and not all dark and wickedly evil like Stefano.  I want the ways of Stefano’s influence on him to be over.  I want E.J. to retain a little badness, but not so over-the-top that I can’t stand to look at him on my TV screen.  I want him to stop using his children as his excuse for Sami not loving him; I want him to forget Taylor ever existed when she leaves in September, and most importantly, I want E.J. to slowly realize the huge mistake he made in wronging and then throwing away the one and only woman who is and always will be his perfect mate, Nicole.  AZ and JS play beautifully off one another, and I for one would like to see them wind up together.  I want to see people back "at work" in Salem come September.  I always liked Nikki in the role of the ‘on-the-street reporter," and I would like to see E.J. open a legitimate business, side-by-side with Chad, and sure, wreak a little havoc here and there in some dirty business dealings, but stop being so evil that I find myself wishing serious harm to come to you … you are far too handsome and I would like to be able to stomach you again in a role that puts you a little bit more along the lines of a brilliant but somewhat shady businessman.  And, please, be your own man and get out from under Stefano’s thumb.  Save your treachery for other Salemites, and stay the hell away from Sami and Rafe.  Sami knows that your children love you …. she has never denied that and she has never tried to convince them that you do not love them or that they should not love you; unlike how you have tried to convince them otherwise.  For E.J. to work for me, It’s time he started acting like a grown-up.  I would love to see him and Sami and Rafe work together for the betterment of the kids’ lives instead of against them at every turn.  I want this character to change come September, become more legitimate, and I want him back with Nicole.  I am so tired of hating this character.  I’m ready for change, and no place better to start than with E.J. DiMera.

Early retirement for Stefano??????  I can only hope that’s what’s coming.  I am tired of his evil, wicked, controlling, irresponsible ways.  I love Joe M.’s acting talents as much as the next person, but I need a break from Stefano and Kate’s phony excuse for controlling the lives of their children and passing it off as love.  All they have proven is how unfit they both are as parents to the extent of ruining their children’s lives.  So, maybe a health crisis is the way to back-burner him long enough for E.J. to get his own life in order and learn how to stand on his own two feet.

the name they used on his fake identification, including the passport and credit card; his real name is the one shown on his mug shot, something like "Feniger."

they will spend a very short time in jail; but, when released because their only proof will be killed off, E.J. will still be left with nothing.  Sami will get custody of the kids, and the loss of his children will be worse than any sentence he could get.  He needs time without them if only to make him realize what his actions have truly cost him.  I would, at some point, like to see them share custody, but not be going after each other’s jugulars in the meantime.  Enough of that crap.  Be parents, sharing your time with your precious children, and stay out of one another’s life unless it has to do with the welfare of your kids.  I really would like to see this as a wake-up call for E.J., sort of a realization, if you will, that his lifestyle based on the sins of the father have now cost him not only the woman he claims he loves, but, more importantly, his children.  I know that Stefano will definitely face a health crisis, but I don’t know how far they are going to take it.  I think they are preparing us for the two brothers to take over, but I’m just hoping that Chad will sway E.J. to becoming a better person rather than E.J. swaying Chad to the criminal side of the DiMera empire.

Drake looks like he lost a little weight, but is still handsome as ever to me; Matt, the beard has to go, but I’m just ecstatic to see them arrive, knowing that the rumors and concerns about their returns are over and this is the beginning of many good things yet to come.  So, welcome back Doc, John and Jack.  Wonder if John will still call Marlena "Blondie."  I really loved it when he would call her that.

I do not wish to debate morals at any time if this story is done with respect for both sides.  I thought Sonny’s dialogue was a good ‘lead-in’ to perhaps how the writers will present it, which should be strictly character-driven and not plot-driven.  Freddie Smith’s role as Sonny has so far been not only likable, but mature and intelligent, and certainly in no way have I found him to be anything but a young man who identifies with himself as always knowing he was gay, accepting it, and moving on with his life.  I don’t believe he will in any way be perceived as promiscuous or forceful, running around town trying to make every young man in Salem.  He is respectful yet aware of situations his lifestyle may or may not present, and seems able to deal with anything that may or may not come his way.  So, as long as the writers don’t turn him into a gay porn star, I find I enjoy him very much and believe he is a definite keeper.

you’re wrong.  They did so absolutely, positively, indeed fire them, and it was because at that time they were instructed to cut the budget dramatically.  I won’t beat this dead horse any longer; so, I will simply, as they say, agree to disagree.

I think Corday, Sony and the network had the collective meeting, seeing as how the show was losing ratings and was tanking straight into the toilet.  Since NBC gave them until 2013 to either get the fans back or cut bait and swim, Corday Productions and Sony finally had no choice but to look at exactly where the problems were lying and fix them.  First things first were considered and the writing team took a direct hit, and deservedly so.  These message boards may not be enough to bring any character(s) back, or make decisions on cast or storylines, but, by God, they can and do raise enough hell to make somebody sit up and pay attention.  There have been signs that change in a positive direction was definitely the No. 1 answer to keeping this particular soap on the air, and those signs were overwhelmingly decided by the network to either give the fans what they wanted or your show will be canceled, along with the others who have already gone.  I really believe that’s what happened.

Taylor joining forces with Nicole to take down the DiMeras because they blame them for Faye’s death, even though neither Stefano nor E.J. knew that faux Rafe killed her until recently.  But, since they were responsible for creating the "creature," as R-2 has now been dubbed by so many, Nikki and Taylor now both blame them for bringing him to Salem in the first place and putting their sick plan into action, consequently resulting in their mother’s death.  If Taylor left right away, she would not get her own type of revenge — seeing the DiMeras pay for their crime.  Plus, I like the fact that Nicole and Taylor are mending fences and will possibly work together to seek their justice for Faye’s death.  I can put up with TB as long as she doesn’t fall back into E.J.’s web of lies.

especially after seeing the tears in Stefano’s eyes today as he told him to get out and not come back.  Stefano may have been the original aficionado of the plan, but once he revealed it to junior, E.J. went right along with it, smiling, sitting cross-legged, smoking cigars and swilling the booze right along with Stefano, praising the brilliance of it all from the very beginning.  Then, when E.J. found his "twu love" and decided things had been taken too far, he rejected Stefano’s way of doing things and decided to take over, failing miserably, leaving them in the lurch they find themselves in today.  God, I wish they would just give Joe M. the reins and really let him ‘ACT’ out this role, because today he had me mesmerized.

that Dee and Drake were back for the summer, but possibly longer.  As it is, they will be taping throughout the summer, but will not appear on screen until September 26th, so I’m hoping that they will be here much longer than simply September 26th through November sweeps.  No, I would not want to see them depart that quickly, and hope their return is so successful that they and TPTB decide they are such an important part of DOOL’s history that they can put money aside and sign on at least until DOOL’s next contract with NBC ends in 2013, and that by that time the show will have returned with such popularity and increased ratings that it will be extended once again.  I know I’m putting the horse before the cart, but I can hope that’s how it will turn out.

I could relate to is Gary Tomlin, and I know he was fired right after Dena, but maybe he was on the set that day "wrapping up" things.
