Participantthey were sooooo romantic, and John was so gentle with her. They both gave off just enough emotion to show how starved they were for one another, but without tearing clothes off or clawing or pawing at each other, and I thought he kissed her tenderly and very, very lovingly. Their scenes were beautifully done with just the right amount of passion and sexiness, yet gentleness, to show how deeply they love one another and how long they have been waiting to share that love between them once again. Great job, D&D; loved every second of it.

ParticipantI realize she had no idea that Rafe had been fired a short while before, but they are a married couple and you don’t invite your sister’s husband to move in without consulting with your own husband first. This was a big mistake on Sami’s part, and I hope she fixes it before we have to face another war between sisters. I try to take up for Sami as much as I can, because I like her; but she was dead to wrong here.

Participantin proving John’s innocence. I know he claims that he is, but everyone who knows Roman should consider that he would not be too upset if John was convicted and went to prison. He might not even realize it because he has been claiming to be behind John 100%, but after firing Rafe I’m not so sure that’s true now. I don’t think he would intentionally compromise John’s case by withholding or interfering with any information that might prove John’s innocence, but I’m also not so sure he would offer it either. He might not even be able to admit it to himself yet, but inwardly he might just be tickled pink if John were guilty and sent to prison, which would give him another chance at the one woman he will never get over…Marlena. I wouldn’t want to have this happen, but I can almost see this as a possibility.

ParticipantI think this whole argument was Austin’s fault. I can see this opening a large can of rotten worms for all 4 characters, and Austin will be most to blame for it. I agree, he should not have discussed it with Sami ….. "if you want to know, ask your husband." What kind of remark was that …. especially to Sami, of all people. I just hope she’s grown enough to realize how much her and Rafe love one another. Tomorrow’s previews made me sick to my stomach, because even though I hope he doesn’t, you almost know Rafe will walk in on this.

ParticipantI didn’t mention any names and I certainly wasn’t talking about any one in particular. I just think there IS a lot of negativity … too much for me to understand at times. If you felt I was aiming that directly toward you, or any one in particular poster, you are dead wrong. I just feel most days the criticism outweighs the praise, and isn’t giving these new writers a chance. Sorry if I offended either of you.

Participantnot so much because they were together, but for the fact that they are finally getting around to what Jack went through in Afghanistan, the things he witnessed, and how they affected him. I hope they go even deeper to actually have him explain his own torture and what he was put through. So far Jack’s actions have been a colossal disaster for him and has been a turn-off for many. Now that what he actually went through, all the while missing his family but not being able to do anything about it, might soften him to some extent. I know it does for me. Yes, I realize it was his own fault for leaving the way he did and not letting his family know, but I’m sure he never realized that what would happen to him once he got there. He probably thought he was going to be able to get his story and get out, but at least we are being told his side of things now, and I liked that about their scenes today.

Participantand said they no longer want Rafe to be their liaison. He just assumed it was Austin because of their conversation when Austin overheard Carrie and Rafe on the phone and was p.o.’d because Rafe was the one Carrie called. Roman should know by now that he has dirty cops on his force and that Rafe was being set up, but I can see where he had no choice when Rafe admitted to him that he was, indeed, working with Carrie to try and prove John’s innocence.

ParticipantI know that I have tried many, many times to express the same thoughts about the new writers and their stories, and I know full well that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, as are we. I’m also enjoying every minute of every story line going on right now and feel they are moving at a pace that, at the very least, still keeps me waiting for the next day. I do see some days of repetition for some story lines; but that’s what happens when a story affects so many other people; it’s what makes it an umbrella story line and we are experiencing several of those right now. Unfortunately, there are among us, and always will be among us, overly anxious, critical fans who, regardless of how hard the writers try, will always have to complain about something, make comparisons to ‘the old days’ and will never be satisfied, whether it be with a character, a story line, realism, unbelievability, or, hell, which way the wind is blowing that day. I was very glad to see you back on this board, because I find your posts to always be interesting and well thought out. Don’t let the negativity of some posts disrupt your positive ones. Your interpretive opinions are always spot-on, IMO, and I would miss reading them.

Participant20 years ago is when Alice found out that one of Maggie’s eggs had produced a child, and then the payments or savings or whatever began. It was never stated for sure exactly how many years went by before it was discovered. The age of the child would depend on how many years the egg was implanted producing a pregnancy, which could be many years prior to Alice finding out through her investigation that a child was in fact conceived. That child could well be in their late 30-s, early 40’s by the time Alice found out about it.

ParticipantCoach’s team would have definitely won that challenge if it were not for her stupidity and refusal to take suggestions. She is determined not to take any advice from anyone, especially Coach, who was right all along about her one-handed, no aim-talent for that challenge. She’s an impudent know-it-all and thinks she can make it on her own talent, of which there is NONE. She’s been a bone of contention for me from day 1.

Participantthey both looked terrific….especially loved Nicole’s look yesterday. Her facial expressions when he is close to her are very telling. She almost doesn’t want to allow him to be close to her, and when he does (purposely, I think), you can almost see her squirm. Love these two together, but God how I hate his character throughout this story line. Hope Quinn blackmails the hell out of him.

Participantin her former role as Savanah Wilder, and that she will be involved in this storyline, and that she was very much linked to Victor in the mid-80’s. Maybe it was her he called, because maybe she was the surrogate for Daniel’s parents. So, so many possibilities, but so enjoying this exciting twisting and turning of events, and the linking of the money and John’s story adds even more to it.

Participantbut for now, I’m willing to take into consideration that in most instances, even though they are penned by the new writers now, these are still stories that originated with the old writers once it was revealed that John, Marlena, Carrie, Austin and Jack were coming back, which was revealed to us while we were still suffering through the Dena Higley DAYS, and the new writers had to unfortunately take on the responsibility for finishing them. From what I have read, all, or most, of the story lines we are now watching will be over and done with by year’s end, and all new story lines by the new writers will begin at that time. So, for now, I’m just happy with the fact that some of my favorites have returned, that a few more could be returning, and that the show is moving in the right direction. After this week’s scenes with Will, Sonny, Chad, Gabi and the new website, I must admit that I am now looking forward to the new story line concerning Sonny and Will, even though I believe most are not. I don’t know about anyone else, but I feel no matter how hard Will is trying to convince himself that he is in love with Gabi, and the more he hears and sees how Sonny deals with who he is, the more he (Will) will distance himself from a romantic relationship with Gabi, and I think the first one he will admit how cofused he feels will be to Marlena, which will then kick off that story line. I’ve waited a long time to return to better days. I think we have, so I’m not going to lose patience yet.

Participantand was worried that since all of his assets had now been frozen, that he would have no money to pay Carrie or anyone else to defend him. That was when Carrie told John that ‘her firm’ was willing to pick up ALL of the expenses involved in preparing for and defending John’s case, which, at the time I thought was pretty strange, because in a case like this, the legal fees and expenses would be astronomical.

ParticipantIt was obvious yesterday that Victor knows all too well what happened to Maggie’s harvested eggs. But, Maggie, please stop incessantly repeating "BUT… WHERE IS MY CHILD?" First of all, your child is a grown man with a fully grown daughter, and as painful and shocking as it must be for her right now, she is talking about it like her child is still is still a baby. Boy, give Suzanne where she can open the floodgates, and she will not disappoint. I do wish, however, that Victor would not have been involved in this, but I’m afraid that he is. I think when he made that call at the end of the show yesterday and warned the person on the other end that ‘we have a problem’ … he was talking to Daniel’s parent(s). I’m just hoping, with all my fingers and toes crossed, that Victor did not know that they were Maggie Horton’s eggs, and when the clinic closed down, somehow we will learn that Daniel’s parents could not conceive and somehow learned, probably through Victor, about the clinic closing down, and arranged to get one of those eggs that were going to be destroyed anyway, had it implanted in Daniel’s mother, and the rst, as they say, is history in the making. What I can tell you is that this will all come out by the end of this week, or early next week, when Maggie, Bo and Hope will know that Daniel is Maggie’s son. That’s why Victor wants to make sure that his name is kept out of it. He adores Maggie and can probably only begin to imagine that if she discovers Victor is responsible in any way, shape or form, regardless of his intentions at the time, that she will walk away from him. Please, writers, don’t let this happen. Don’t destroy "Magic." I love them as a couple and hope you have found a way to successfully write your way out of, or at least around, this story without destroying their love story.
