ParticipantI kept thinking, ‘OMG…he has Spock ears.’ Sorry, but I don’t see the walking, talking perfect man that many seem to see in JS. He has many imperfections that annoy me, but I do like the actor and the role they created for him. I just cannot help feeling that he, too, will have some secrets coming our way in the near future. For instance, they’ve been mentioning his mother, Susan Banks, quite a bit of late. Will she have any bearing on E.J.’s future, or has Stefano pulled another fast one on us all? Guess a lot of my questions will be answered when I find out who the DiMera baby is in the picture that Alice has, that will soon be discovered by Bo and Hope, and will turn out to be the same picture of a baby that will be discovered in the DiMera mansion. Hmmmm, talk about curiouser and curiouser, eh? …… By the way, this is not a spoiler …… I’m just speculating!

Participantbut I’m certainly interested now that we know Victor was the one who procured the eggs for Dan’s parents. Maybe Hederson is more involved with Victor’s affairs than we’ve seen. He would have to have known through his own participation in acquiring the eggs, wouldn’t you think? I mean, it’s not likely that Victor would just volunteer that kind of information, even if it is his faithful servant. I think he was involved in some way. Either way, once Maggie gets the facts straight, I see problems ahead for her and Victor, and that is disappointing. How do you work through something like that, knowing that the man you married hid the fact from you that he is responsible for allowing someone else to raise your bio-child. I should think whether or not Victor knew they were Maggie’s eggs would not matter half as much as knowing that Lillian Parker was not Daniel’s biological mother. Not that it matters in the sense that she gave birth to him, reared, taught and loved him all the years she was alive; but, Victor knew it from the very beginning and chose not to tell Daniel. I should think that would be harder on both Maggie and Daniel, considering that Victor will now be even deeper involved in their lives.

Participantat least I hope so, because if she’s safe, then she’s going to send someone home who is much more deserving to be there at this point than she is. Rikki and Derek were the best last night, hands down. I don’t think Rob Karkashian is all that either, but his and Cheryl’s Gomez and Morticia was spot-on last night. He even looked like Gomez with his hair all slicked off to one side. Halloween was certainly outdone on quite a few shows this year. All of the remaining soaps had terrific halloween parties written into their shows this year, which is unusual.

ParticipantFor 40 or so years now, Daniel has believed his mother to be Lillian Parker, and someone comes up to him at a halloween party in a public town square and declares that she has reason to believe that SHE is his mother. Then he asks Victor, who has been like a second father to him all these years, and he agrees that he believes it is true. Daniel was crushed and obviously in denial. Who wouldn’t be? I know I would.

ParticipantThanks, DeeLan, that was driving me nuts. I remember her now on House. But, she had dark hair. Guess that threw me off somewhat.

Participantfor Daniel’s parents; I just don’t know for sure if he knew they belonged to Maggie. If he did, and if that truth comes out, that could certainly ruin things for the newly weds. Don’t forget, Victor was just as much a crime lord as Stefano was, and back then he was much, much worse than he is now.

Participantare going to be trapped together in a snowstorm. Funny, cause I’m sure they taped those scenes over a month ago, and it’s being shown almost at the same time when an actual Nor’easter hits New England. Just thought that was a funny coincidence.

ParticipantFor instance, let’s just say Sami could be right, and John could have committed this crime but not remember it, because he was still brainwashed. Okay then, that would explain when and how he could have taken the money. What it doesn’t explain is how could he have been in a hospital in Switzerland, unable to walk, and be in Paris at the same time, standing, obviously walking, and committing this horrendous crime? Is Stefano still using John as his pawn? Is E.J. involved in any way, since he’s already mentioned some sort of clue to Nicole that John will be one of his biggest assets and he doesn’t even know it? I remember him saying this to Nicole when John first came back. Do the DiMeras still control John’s mind, or is there someone else involved here? And why were the deposits/withdrawals always in the exact same amount each month, and what in heaven’s name would Alice have to do with any of Basic Black’s investors’ funds? I’m driving myself crazy trying to put this puzzle together; so, please, let’s move this story along writers. Bored with the pace now; time to get this mystery train rolling.

Participantstorms this early are an indication that the east coast is in for a long, hard winter. Boooooooo!

Participantnot as much as Once Upon A Time, which is a smash hit already. You’re right about the reformed werewolf. He’s hilarious and I think he’s going to be a regular, working with the detective every week now. I’ll watch it, though, because, like you said, there’s not much else on the tube on Fridays.

Participanthowever, I have to say that I was rooting for Texas. I’m not a fan of either team, but since Texas has never won a World Series and the Cardinals have won 11 now, I was cheering for Texas to win their first ever.
It’s hard for me to root for anyone in baseball, since Baltimore has an owner who doesn’t care enough about our Orioles to pay for the good players needed to win, so the sport falls kinda’ flat for me, and I was a fan of baseball at one time. I think it was back in the 80’s when we last had a decent team, when Cal Ripken, Jr. was still playing. Anyway, congrats to the Cardinals. They took advantage of the mistakes made by Texas, and they deserved the win.

Participantif they move Austin and Carrie in with Rafe and Sami, I can see all sorts of problems developing, because it’s obvious that Austin and Sami have doubts about John’s innocence, and that Rafe and Carrie totally believe in John’s innocence; therefore, Carrie and Rafe will be taking sides against Austin and Sami, and that’s what I was hoping would never happen.

Participantbefore removing it; that’s why they showed the computer screen indicating a blinking light, which was the monitor, which he disabled. As for the guard, if they’re still in the penthouse, which would be on the top floor, I’m sure they should have another way out besides the front door. There must be a fire escape stairwell or some other way he could get out without going through the front door. Of course, he would have been caught if someone came to visit, but the whole idea of the temporary escape just goes to show that John’s skills are far from depleted, and his actions could very easily be a sort of cryptic clue on how he could have committed some sort of crime, but not remember it. Either way, the kiss in public was dumb, and even Marlena had to remind him that if anyone saw her kissing a stranger, it would definitely be cause for concern and give him away, and she would have been right, especially if E.J. or Nicole had noticed it.

Participanteven so, it was a little too OTT for my taste. It sort of reminded me of some exotic sex torture where Madison was more interested in arousing Brady than she was selling her product line. It did set and accomplish the sexual tone of promoting the sale of whatever it was she was trying to sell, though. LOL.

ParticipantMelanie adores Maggie, and vice-versa; and the resemblance of granddaughter to grandmother is definitely there between these two actresses. I liked it a lot and even shared their tears when they both realized it. Doesn’t it look and feel great when a scene works? That one was perfect.
