as much as it’s the way the actor portrays him and DOOL’s hair/make-up/wardrobe presents him (he’s not that bad-looking IRL.  He (the actor) is too stiff and condescending to be taken seriously in this story line.  That, plus the fact that he is definitely NOT a part of DOOL’s (or Kate’s) history, and that makes him non-existent and unnecessary for, too (even though I know the road they are taking him down shortly).  I wish these writers would have dealt with the magnificent and deep history of the characters of this show and built around them instead of inventing new ones that make so sense, so no one cares.  This was their biggest mistake…..they made things up as they went along and now their in deep doo-doo for it.  I hope the new writers can correct their mistakes with DOOL’s rich history and, more importantly, the history of its characters; otherwise it’s going to have a snowball effect that can only end badly, IMHO.

but Sami did not say one damn thing to Rafe yeterday that wasn’t true.  He is just as much a hypocrite as she is, regardless of t he gravity of the cheating.  What he did with Carrie BEFORE he knew about the grief sex was still cheating, I don’t care how it is defined as the lesser of the two evils.  He was falling in love with his wife’s sister, they were cheating on both Sami and Austin, yet Sami gets the brunt of the criticism.  If they wouldn’t have been caught (Rafe and Carrie), she would probably be the one walking around now pregnant by Rafe and not her husband.  I’m sorry, but it is not now, nor has it ever been, ALL SAMI’S FAULT.  I’ll be first in line to be critical of Sami and the stupid things she says and does, but yesterday is not one of those times.

but I don’t think he will ever forgive her.  As a matter of fact, I think we will see just how horrible a person Stefano can be where Kate is concerned.  Funny, he can betray his family in many, many ways, which you will all see very soon with E.J., but if you betray him, that’s a horse of a different color, and Stefano does not get mad, he gets even, so look out Kate, your lifestyle is about to end.

they both seemed to be thinking about it, but to me it looked like Will was much more affected by the hug than Sonny.  He actually stood in the doorway while Sonny went back to work, and to me he appeared to be taking a good, long look back at Sonny with a sudden new feeling regarding their friendship.  They both clearly felt some sort of spark when they hugged.

I would not be surprised if Will and Sonny fall into the "no longer needed" category now that the basic ‘coming out’ story line is almost complete.  The general audience seemed thrilled with the emotional impact of Will’s life and how he handled it, and certainly some brilliant scenes with his grandmom, Marlena, so perhaps this was the real purpose for the story line to begin with, and not the fall-out from it.  Now that Will finally accepts who he is, maybe the writers will no longer feel the need to bring the relationship to a full-blown, on-screen gay love story and that will be a way for them to cut Will and Sonny from the cast.  I would hope not, but I can see it happening.

and that includes Celeste and her son, which leads me to believe that not only will the cast be reduced, but once the new writers take over, and their story lines are in place, that’s when we’ll begin to see more cuts.  I don’t think Celeste or her son will be permanent.  DOOL is in place until September 2013, so it will be interesting to see if all of this is worth it, once it gets close to contract renewal time.  Maybe one of these new writers will really be a genius and write a character driven story line that won’t involve bed-hopping, breaking up a marriage, being involved in a love triangle, or, God forbid, another WTD/M storyline, and let the character stand on a story line all it’s own, with no man/woman/child/interloper/evil spouse/etc., etc., involved.  It cold happen, I suppose.

Wish they would have shown Kate’s feet under the covers.  She probably did have her stiletto boots on.  ROTFLMAO!!!!

but Jack surprises and saddens me.  I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if these were just the first of many others getting their pink slip to downsize this very large cast.  I remember when the reboot was first talked about, Ken Corday said that the show would eventually focus on a much smaller cast of major characters, so I guess this downsize was planned way back then, and now will be the beginning of it.  Gee, that will be 5 major players, if you include Lexi.  Who’s next, I wonder.  I vote for Gabi.  I see no use whatsoever for this character.  Just please leave John and Marlena alone.  I’ve waited too long for their return to see it short-lived.  As for Rafe, I’m betting he and Sami aren’t through yet.  But, what will they do with Lucas?  But, I’m with bluebonnet here, if it means cutting costs and saving DOOL, I’m okay with it, as long as they keep the core families together.

when she went on-stage, she was acting all goofy, making exasperating facial expressions, losing her balance, and eventually fell flat on her face right in the middle of the number.  She was told by the show’s star to get off the stage, and I thik it was Derek who told her that she wouldn’t even be able to get work in a chorus line now.

Dev didn’t lose lose HIS job, but he was passed over for a promotion and it was given to someone who used to work for him, and now it’s the other way around.  Yes, I think his co-worker is after him big time, and the way things are going with him and Karen, it looks like that’s what might happen.  Poor Karen … they keep dangling the carrot in front of her, only to pull it away at the last minute.  I think Derek is starting to fall for her, and between that and Karen’s problems with Dev, looks like DOOL won’t be the only show playing musical beds.  Too bad, because they really do love one another, but their issues with each other’s jobs are going to lead them right into someone else’s arms.  Just like Frank and the song-writer (Debra Messing’s character).  Oh, well, that’s show-biz…..I guess.

is his make-up.  Whoever does his goes waaaayyyy overboard.  Too white, too caked, can’t quite put my finger on it, but he looks like he was made up by a mortician.  Actually, the actor, Ian Buchanan, is very accomplished and looks nothing like the way he’s made to look on Days.  I googled him and was pleasantly surprised at his real, true looks.  I mean he’s no Galen Gering or James Scott, but the guy is much more appealing than he appears on DOOL.

and I can remember more than a few times when Melanie and Nathan seemed to always run into each other, again used as the opening for their scene.  I’m sure if we really thought about it, there are many many others.  Guess it’s a popular lead-in — but again, no imagination on behalf of this staff.

and I’m guessing wardrobe includes jewelry, feels it’s the norm for women to wear jewelry to bed.  I remember a love scene with Carrie and Austin a while back, and afterward Carrie sat up and the first thing my eyes went to was a huge chunky necklace she kept on throughout the scene.  It just looks insanely stupid to see that.

to watch Lou Ferrigno put that big mouth cow, Lisa, through the wall.  That woman is the devil incarnate and I completely despise her.  AND she IS a liar, because she DID call Lou a "F’ing LOSER" and said that him and Dyana only had 5 brain cells between them, and that Penn should get ready, because she and Penn would be doing all the work.  AAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHH — I wanted to put her through a wall myself.  She is such a two-faced liar and using every person she can to her advantage.  Even Trump was smart enough to know that she and the redhead are users to their advantage.  They hated Dyana and tried their big butts off to get her off every week.  Now that she was project manager and decided she wasn’t gonna take it anymore, Lisa has decided she was a worthy team member after all, and was praising her to kingdom come.  If she wins this, I may never watch this show again.

and his backstory, and funny thing about this thread is that it has to do with his cane.  First clue just might come out this week.  I know I’m looking forward to it.

GH will probably take their spot.  Ratings are improving for GH with their new headwriters, who previously wrote for One Life to Live.  I don’t think anything has been announced yet about GH, but from what I have read, things look pretty good for them to be picked up, just moving to a 2:00 p.m. slot instead of 3:00 p.m.
