there’s more than one board that pulverizes Ali Sweeney, herself, and I think that’s ridiculous.  You would be shocked to see some of the insults made to and about her personally.  It’s simply sad, knowing she’s an actress doing her job, just like everyone in the business.

I was commenting on Bonbon’s reply post to mine.  I will say, it was nice of you to attempt to clear the air with BrandyRose.  I hope she sees it, takes it to heart, and returns to the board.  However,  I see no reason for you to feel compelled to explain the meaning of your words any further …. to anyone!  Truth be told, not everyone has that protective turtle shell that you or Bonbon or I have.  LOL!

doesn’t mean they still won’t lurk.  I’m hoping she does and returns.  Some people get offended, some don’t.  Doesn’t mean she won’t be missed, and I, for one, want her to know that.  I happen to think she’s one of the best posters on the board.

that if they were found that they would have gunshot residue on them, it makes no sense to me why he would just throw them in the trash bin and not burn them or something.  I’ve always taken that as a big boo-boo on the old writers’ part, among thousands of other …. WHAT DUH? …. scenes.

the feeling is MUTUAL.  Having you on this board is indeed a pleasure.  Kudos to you, your wit, your intelligence, and your "always on the money" observations.  You are a very sweet person.

I have never tried to change anyone’s mind about leaving the board, but you are an exception to my rule.  Your opinions are always well written and your peaceful attitude in your posts make reading them not only a pleasure to read, but ones that I seek out.  You are intelligent, funny, and most of all respectful to your fellow posters.  That certainly can’t be said for everyone.  So, please, please reconsider and stay with us.  You are a large part of what makes this board so pleasurable to read and I would greatly miss your input.  So stand your ground, make your point, and don’t let ANYONE drive you away.   That would make me very sad.

    Your friend, Patti

"Kristen Blake (formerly DiMera and Black) is a fictional villainess on the soap opera Days of our Lives. Although raised by villain Stefano DiMera after the death of her parents (her mother was later discovered to be alive and well), Kristen and Peter were never legally adopted by him. Kristen was played by Eileen Davidson from May 17, 1993 to April 24, 1998."

that would be so wrong of me, since we are all entitled to our own.  I was merely pointing out some reasons why I was disagreeing with yours …. that’s all.  I especially respect and enjoy your posts a lot as well.  So, please keep putting your thoughts out there, because more times than not I agree with you.

others ….. not so much.  I know it’s revamping history, but the whole Industrial Revolution scenes were not interesting for me.  The costumes, the scenery, just was not attractive, but it did get better as it went along.  I thought the doves in flight from the dazzling costumes under the blue lighting, with the doves appearing to actually fly through the stadium was beautiful; I, too, loved the forging of the rings and the effects of the lighting of the cauldron, although I agree that there were too many torch bearers lighting it.  It sort of took away from tradition for me.  But, as stated, Beijing is going to be hard to top.  Those ceremonies were like nothing I’ve ever seen, but aren’t the Chinese famous for their use of pyrotechnics?

As a side note, I simply cannot wait to see my boy, Michael Phelps, all this week.  He’s swimming in 8 events and needs just 3 medals of any color to be the most decorated Olympian of all time.  GOOOOOOOO MICHAEL!!!!!  Charm City and the entire state of Maryland is soooooo proud of you!

Surprisingly, I disagree with you in that, IMO, you’re being far too analytical where Nicole is Concerned.  So, she’s had a tormented childhood that has since caused her to be untrustworthy where men are concerned.  However, she knows exactly where Victor is coming from.  She knows he’s right as rain.  Nicole has no problems getting what she wants when she wants it, and her conscience remains clear when she gets it.  She had no problem reeling in Rafe or Daniel when she figured out they were the perfect alibi’s for her scheme against E.J., and could serve her purpose well (in or out of the bedroom) and they both fell for her plan like the good little lap dogs they are.  Even E.J. tried countless times to get her back, to no avail, who by now knows her as well as both Victor and Stefano.  Just before her split with E.J. she had no problems maintaining her villainous, scheming activities when she was with E.J., in her capacity as not only his wife, but his campaign manager.  She played down and dirty to the core — one could almost say "with the best of them" (Victor and Stefano).  If it’s one thing Nicole knows how to do, it’s how to be a con artist.  Remember her story with poor little Mia when Nikki convinced the kid to give up her and Chad’s baby, paying her off so Mia could go Japan or someplace to be a dancer?.  We all know how that turned out; after she got what she wanted she "traded" the child (Grace) by switching it for Sami’s baby (Sydney), conspiring with the evil Dr. Baker?  So, whenever I hear people think of her as poor, misguided, abused Nicole …. no wonder she does the things she does;" I have to say, "HEY, ARE YOU WATCHING WHO I’M WATCHING?"  (LOL).  We certainly are not seeing the Nicole Walker Kiriakis Dimera that I know.  AND, that’s the one I want back; that’s the one I want to see return.  Her and Sami both need to pack up the wings and halos they’re both trying to wear and throw them into the Salem River and give me back my two bad girls I loved.  Neither one of them were meant to be angels.  Victor knows what he’s talking about, and why hide it from Daniel or hold back saying it in front of Maggie and Nicole?  Maggie’s only been Daniel’s mother for 6 months; Victor has been his godfather his whole life.  Daniel better listen to the Don.

All that being said, BrandyRose, I HIGHLY respect your posts, though.  You are great for this board …. and that’s MY opinion.
