ParticipantBo is just fed up with the work; that there’s only so much he can do as a detective, and it’s no longer enough for him. Seems to me it’s more of a mid-life crisis that he’s going through. What I’m having a hard time with is Hope’s constant ‘pushing’ him to leave a 20-year job with no idea of how they are going to make it work. It’s almost sounding like she wants him to go. I know that’s not the case, but it’s how it appears to me. I’m very perturbed at how Bo’s exit is being written. Peter has three weeks of air-time left. How are they going to justify a proper story line knowing that after that time the network, Corday Productions, SONY and the general audience will be saying goodbye to Beauregard Aloysius Brady with nothing more than a cake with his face on it. Beats me!!!

Participantand as heartbreaking as it was to watch, she once again accomplished that for me in Friday’s show. Although I don’t care for Nicole for so many reasons, Ari’s performance not only gave me chills, she made me believe every emotion a woman in that position should and would be feeling, and she is the best crier of any soap actress I have ever seen. Not only was that an Emmy-worthy performance yesterday, and I am sure will be again on Monday, but she is so good that she made me forget how much I truly dislike the character of Nicole and actually put myself in her place. Yes, the tears were definitely flowing watching her amazing scenes. Even if she was at one point thinking more about the absurdity of her loss of Daniel as well as her baby, Nicole had me feeling so bad for her yesterday, and that’s a well deserved compliment to an amazing actress. I just wish she had better writing than she has been having so far. I personally like feisty, snarky Nicole, but AZ really pulled out all the stops with this performance.

Participantwere not right on the money where Jim Lehrer was concerned. The candidates talked over Lehrer’s attempts to keep them to time restrictions, and the moderator’s open-ended questions frequently lacked sharpness, let alone authority to control the candidates’ responses. Eventually, Lehrer gave up trying to control the situation entirely.

ParticipantI’m thinking something like Director of Communications/Dr. Jonas Career Decision Consultant????? LOL! I’d have to tag her "Head Buttinsky."
Patti
ParticipantNot so much —- Nicole …. despise her right now. Her manipulation and deceit are overbearing, baby or no baby. If that kid dies, it will be because of Nicole’s burdening of that child with all the stress she puts on it inside the womb. What a horrible nut job she’s turned into.
I like Sami and Rafe reuniting, and loved the way they did it. Always love happy endings — at least this week anyway.
So sick of E.J. DiMera’s bullying and OTT actions. Chad was wrong, though …. E.J. can’t make a pimple on Stefano’s big ole’ butt!
Maggie and Victor have become a snooze festival … totally boring;
Jennifer needs to pay more attention to what Abbey’s going through right now and let Daniel make his own mistakes. I do think Maggie was right in telling Jen to stop hurting Daniel, though. Every time I see Jennifer worrying about Daniel and using the loss of his career as her excuse to worry, I could just slap her. Jennifer Rose is another character who is being destroyed by bad writing. I almost wish she would leave Salem, but Abbey stays.
I hope Chad is the DiMera who helps take down Stefano and E.J., or else we are just going to keep repeating the same stories for this disgusting family. Oh well, maybe Kristen will be the one to light the fire with these writers. I certainly hope so; otherwise, Y&R has lost a wonderful actress, taken from them by SONY and placed with a show that is not too successful right now …. but then neither are the other soaps.
I am concerned for Bo’s exit story line. His last air date is the last week in October, which is like 3 weeks from now; so, how much of an exit story line are they going to provide for a deserving, loved vet like Peter Reckell.
Finally, I am enjoying Nick and Gabi; however, I don’t think Gabi should have gotten away with what she did. She may not have been responsible for Andrew going all psycho on Melanie, but she did know what he was doing, and why he did it, and didn’t come forward, resulting in the DAYSaster. Too bad someone didn’t think of recovering Andrew’s cell phone, proving that Gabi knew what Andrew did and then conspired with him to keep Mel under lock and key. Another lost potential story line there. Gabi and Nick do make a cute couple, though.

Participantthat Gabi was involved in some way. Knowing E.J. like she does, and having experienced the swift turn-around in Rafe toward her with his on again, off again feelings toward her; coupled with E.J.’s sudden smug "I won" look that he always sports whenever he THINKS he does have someone over a barrel, as he did Rafe, …. well, I know Sami’s no genius, but I think the light bulb went off in her head and she immediately realized E.J. was blackmailing Rafe to keep him away from Sami, and what better way to do that once E.J. knew Rafe’s little sister was involved in some sort of criminal activity.

Participantthe moderator, on the other hand, was a joke.
The critiques came from several sides of the media spectrum.
“Boy, Jim Lehrer got rolled over,” MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said on “Morning Joe” on Thursday morning. “You could see an exasperated look on Jim’s face when they would just keep plowing right over him,” said Gretchen Carlson on “Fox & Friends” on Fox News. Speaking on CNBC Thursday morning, Steve Liesman offered up what he called a “private-sector solution” to the moderator dilemma: “Why can’t the two guys just take care of themselves?”
I could not agree more!!!
Patti
Participantand quite frankly I’m a little sick to death of these tired old story lines.
Patti
Participantbetter yet, let Daniel suffer the consequences of Nicole’s entrapment. Jennifer’s only concern right now should be Abigail. Still wish she would not have taken her job back at the hospital.
Patti
ParticipantI can’t believe Chad just stood there letting E.J. scream in his face like that. I couldn’t be happier that Sami and Rafe are back together, but even more-so because she finally discovered the truth and let Chad know exactly what E.J. was doing and why. When he overacts the way he did today with that excessive macho behavior, I could just laugh in his face. He may not pay for his crimes, but what happened to him today was almost as good a pay-back, IMO.
Patti
Participantwhatever happens, I can’t stand Nicole right now. If her baby is indeed dead, she’ll probably be thinking more about how to use it for Daniel’s sympathy than she will about the baby being dead. Nicole just disgusts me.
Patti
Participantshe’s very wooden, and if one of the best pro dancers on the show can’t loosen her up, she needs to go now before someone way more deserving gets sent home.
Patti
Participantshe’s made several mistakes with names. She’s also forgetting that a supplier’s merchandise was received; Gabi had to tell her it was, and that she (Caroline) signed for it; and there’s the bank deposit she claims to have made when she didn’t. Now, today she got lost driving home. Bo reminded her she’s been driving these streets many years and is getting concerned. Then, yesterday she told Gabi that Maggie married her "Shawn." Gabi had to remind her that Maggie was married to Victor. They seem to be taking it slow for now. I just hope they do the story justice, and Peggie looks like she could pull it off. Don’t think its been done before, either.
Patti
Participantthat the only way that would work is if Nicole left Salem; otherwise, how would she keep the baby from E.J., or anyone else for that matter? Who knows …. in Salem, anything’s possible, right?
Patti
Participantstarting tonight with the Ravens at Cleveland. I am ecstatic about this news. Now maybe the players, most of all, can get back to real football and referees who know what they’re doing. Great job, and kudos to all of the NFL owners for getting this settled.
(P.S. …. RAVENS WIN – 23-16 …. WOOP WOOP!!!!!)
