even though I would love to see Lauren in one hair color with a good cut. Lauren Koslow, despite her role as Kate, is a very classy, very attractive woman, IMO. She certainly doesn’t need to go to extreme lengths to make herself appear younger or "hip" as the kids would say. Truth is, I liked the way she looked today, and think she looks great in red. Lose the streaks, Lauren, and get a great cut styled for your face, which is quite pretty, AFAIC.
I just might be right behind you. If these stories, as well as the writing of characters I have grown to love over the years, don’t take a serious turn for the better by the end of the year, I might be looking for a better way to spend my time than wasting it day after day on a show that is just too frustrating to hold my interest any longer. It can’t just be me, either. I read nothing but disappointment and negativity by posters on other boards as well. How can they (DOOL) expect to be picked up if they keep losing the general audience. This is not my imagination. Days is now in last place in ratings, and there are only 4 soaps left. I think the soap genre is in its last stage of life as we know it.
both such strong women have turned into paranoid psychotics. If this is the writers’ ideas of sweeps month, I’m ashamed I actually was praising their return. I can’t even wrap my head around how they are both behaving. Jennifer may be worse than Marlena, but she is quickly catching up with her paranoia regarding Kristen. I want my strong, challenging, unnerving "doc" back.
and I’ll be a happy little clam. Too much angst and no punishment for the villains is not acceptable to me. I agree that Kristen is trouble, but so far I’m liking her. A little redemption goes a long way for me, but the people you have suggested to eliminate from the show just wouldn’t work. Who would we be left with …. the teens …. no thanks. Just give Lucas a better storyline not involving Sami and and keep everyone’s nose a little more out of business that doesn’t concern them.
they have Nick using the "GOD" card today, indicating that the reason he is so against Sonny and Will is because not only does he not approve of them being a homosexual couple; but, GOD would not approve and therefore it’s just plain wrong. Then, later he has sex with Gabbi, who he’s not married to, and has known for all of, what, 3-4 weeks, but they are about to consummate their "love". So, it’s wrong for Will and Sonny to love one another, but it’s okay for Nick to fall into bed with Gabi? Whether or not you approve, disapprove, like or dislike Will’s and Sony’s storyline, I suppose God would approve of two young, unmarried people having a sexual relationship, regardless of the length of time they have known each other shows me that the writing for Nick in this particular instance was just plain stupid. I mean, talk about hypocrisy, Nick Fallon is thy name.
they were merely appointed his "wards" after their mother, Rachel Blake, "lady in white" died. He has always referred to them as his "adopted" children, but no legal adoption actually took place. If anyone can find where Stefano "legally" adopted Kristen, please let me know. Otherwise, there is no relationship between Kristen and the DiMeras, blood or otherwise.
when the last 3 to score the highest according to the judges’ votes were the bottom 3 in the audience votes was horrible to say the least. Poor Louis – I felt as bad for him as I did for Sabrina. What a sweetheart he seems to be, and I think he truly believed they were going to be safe. As a matter of fact, the look on Karina’s face, including tears, led me to think she thought she would be going home. Truth be told, none of them should have been in the bottom 3 last night. Who are all these people voting for Kirstie? My goodness, she can’t hold a candle to any of those in the final 3 and she darn well knows it. She even said so herself. But, if I had to pick who expressed the most shock and dismay over Sabrina and Louie’s departure, it was the judges themselves, who did not hold back from showing their own disbelief and disappointment.
They’ve been leading up to it with Caroline’s story for the last couple of weeks, and I thought what was shown throughout today’s epi was very emotionally effective. I thought it really looked like Bo was personally tormented by his emotions depicted in his scenes, as was Hope. It brought tears to my eyes, and not so much because of the fact that Bo was leaving with Caroline, but that Bo was simply leaving DAYS. It grabbed me the way I thought it would, especially the scenes between Peter and Kristian. Now, what would disappoint me is if no further mention or follow-up is made once Bo has a chance to review the CD Hope gave him about Stefano, knowing that Bo’s plan is to take down Stefano, maybe like further communications on-screen between Bo and John, even though Bo will not be seen. The CD from Hope can’t simply be ignored, or that storyline dropped, simply because Peter is gone.
but, thank God, I am okay here. I got a little flooding in my basement, but not much to speak of compared to some other locations. I didn’t lose power, my car was not in the path of falling trees, and my home’s windows were not invaded by any projectiles, which from the looks of things outside today, there were many. I feel blessed that my entire family is safe and sound, and except for some minor clean-up, their homes were kept out of harm’s way. It looks like New York and New Jersey were really hit hard. For as massive a storm as it was, it was more a huge inconvenience in my part of our state. We did get mostly rain damage. I live in the City now, between Fells Point and Canton, and we got about a 7" rainfall, but that was the worst of it, for me anyway. Many things still closed today, though, including schools, transit, flights canceled up and down east coast. Huge damage, but could have been a lot worse according to what I’m seeing elsewhere.
I can live with them doing a gay storyline, but I said from the beginning that I would not want to watch very intimate, very explicit love scenes between Chandler and Freddie. I know they are actors, and I don’t believe they would be forced into doing a gay love scene if they did not feel comfortable with it. I know Freddie Smith has kissed a guy on other shows; I don’t believe Chandler has. I just believe to do an intense love scene between two homosexuals could be an indication that they are, indeed, very comfortable with it. The first Adam on Y&R quit the show rather than do a kissing/love scene when they decided to do a gay storyline between Adam Newman (then Chris Engen (sp?)) and an attorney on the show named (of all things) Rafe. A kiss is one thing – an intense love scene is another.
there’s no doubt Kristen has her own agenda, and John is at the top of this list. I also see her plotting to use Sami in her plans to go up against Kate. She seems to want to keep her hands clean while using the likes of Sami, Brady, and anyone else she can to cause as much havoc in the lives of those she plans to destroy, while at the same time planning and plotting her agenda, which is simply to destroy John and Marlena. Too bad, because for some reason I like her and think, like Bonbon said, she is just one of those characters that I know is evil, but I like her anyway. At least that’s the way I see Kristin. I hope Marlena can give as good as she gets (and we all know she can), because Kristen is a snake in the grass who plans to strike when the time is right, but knows how to keep herself close enough to the ground so as not to be noticed. So far, so good for Kristen for me. ED is a terrific actress and I’m enjoying her for now, but only because I know both Marlena AND John are on to her …. for the time being, anyway!
so unless he was planning on renting a bike, or possibly having his bike shipped out to California, I think it was just another way to simply calm Caroline down by implying they would take a bike ride, just to take her mind off what’s happening to her by referencing the past. She seemed to go along with the joke by stating she wanted a green helmet with a shamrock on it. Once she enters the program, I doubt they would go along with her leaving the facility for a motorcycle ride. I did read that Caroline would be coming back to Salem. With John telling Bo that he knows he plans to go after the DiMeras, I think that’s what Bo plans to do. Maybe that’s why some spoilers keep insisting that MORE of Alice’s secrets from will be revealed, but we won’t see Bo actually on screen finding them. Maybe they will be using John as a silent partner when Caroline returns and Bo continues on with his journey to take down Stefano. Of course, Caroline would have to still be coherent enough to travel back on her own, and the rest of her deterioration story line will be played out with her family in Salem. I do think at some point Peggy will retire when her Alzheimer’s becomes a full-blown disease. Remember, they did say that the door would be left open for Bo; but I believe probably not with Pete Reckell in the role. I’m just speculating here, so this is not a spoiler.
in the exam room, the bottom and the top of the outfit were separated. The shopping bag only contained the top. The bottom was found in the exam room. That’s how she’s going to be exposed. Daniel will then know that she had an exam that day, follow up on it, plus Nicole’s regular OB/GYN returns with the results of her exam indicating the baby was already dead and that she knew about it. About time! Now she’ll really be screwed. Karma’s going to really kick her in the butt this time. Still, her most concern will be losing Daniel. Ugh!
