I was really glad to know MB was returning, but they have written the character of Melanie as a stuttering, stammering, finger-picking (I hate when she does that with her fingers) nitwit at least 95% of the time she is on. For me the biggest factor was pairing her with Brady, who have never had a romantic chemistry but more of a big brother/little sister vibe to me. Huge disappointment on her return and I won’t be sorry to see her leave. Unfortunately, I imagine we’ll have to get through the baby-theft and, very likely, she will come out a hero there, but the bad news is she will lose Brady because of it. Then, it’s buh-bye Mel! Since she has already left the building, I expect we’ll see her through May sweeps and perhaps into early summer. Still, this time around Melanie was a total fail ….
that Mark and Willow did last night. Honestly, I’m sort of glad this is Len’s last season as a judge. He has become too harsh and critical with his comments. It’s called Dancing With The Stars….not Ballroom Dancing With The Stars. LOL!
Rumer was once again marvelous, and I think she is very beautiful. It’s funny how some women see themselves as ‘ugly’ or ‘masculine’. This girl has classic features, IMO. I just think she shines on the dancefloor. Plus, I really would like to see Val beat Derek this season.
Michael Sam was the weakest link in the trio of stars getting voted off last night, and deserved to go. He’s still a terrific guy, though, and I have a great deal of respect for him.
but I think he’s been calling it exactly as he sees it with Jenn practically from the start. What she is doing is just so wrong. This is not about "her" — it’s about JJ facing the truth of the matter and the fact that what he did with his girlfriend’s mother is horrible, and the truth always finds its way to the surface, no matter how deep you try to bury it. Honestly, between Jennifer and Eve, I don’t know which one is worse. So what’s the alternative to this mess? Unfortunately, for JJ and Paige, I think they’re toast. As for Eve, she needs to face Shane and Kim for what she has done, along with her wicked step-sister, and Jennifer certainly does not deserve Dan’s forgiveness, nor does she deserve any respect from him whatsoever. I like Daniel a lot and would like to see him in a relationship with someone in the medical profession — but obviously it won’t be Kayla with Steve returning — or will it? Maybe a new doc is on the way as well???
because he kept looking at his watch right before that reporter arrived, and then he attacked the guy with the camera, resulting in him getting punched in the mouth. I think he set the whole thing up, too. He’s definitely working with Stefano to gain Abigail’s pity, all the while baiting Ben, and Abs is too dumb to realize it…yet! She’s playing right into Chad’s and Stefano’s hands.
I did read that Molly was leaving, but that she will be returning at some point. Don’t know if she’s working on something else and that she’s just taking a break for it, or if it’s a personal matter, but I do recall seeing this somewhere. Can’t remember where though …
Well, scratch that. I just read Jason47’s comment indicating that Molly only signed on to do 6 months, so that explains it for me. Now, I’m not so sure whatever or wherever I read she would be returning could have been what is commonly referred to as "fanfic". Jason said she will be on screen until the end of May. No explanation about her exit sl though, although I think it’s safe to assume she will leave Salem once the Thrady baby sl comes out. Ugh…are we going to get a Theresa/Brady hook-up after all?
Tori was working for Stefano back then. Perhaps she was one of Stefano’s "girls". I mean, we know how he loves his herams, and when he returned with Cicily, it was obvious to me that he still does. What I don’t understand is how she knows Marlena, because Marlena does not seem to know Tori. Oh well, this show never explains the backstory. I don’t expect they will start now.
I would rather see leave than Freddie. But, I knew we were going to see cast cuts, and so far we will have Melissa Archer (Serena), Molly Burnette (Melanie) and Freddie Smith (Sonny). I just wonder how many others will be shown the door with these cuts. I’m anxious to see if they will re-cast Sonny, though; and, if not, how will this affect Ariana Grace? I see lots of changes coming our way by the time we start seeing the new writers’ work (mid-late August). Hopefully, Xander will be gone by then as well. I wouldn’t mind seeing Nicole get back together with Rafe if things don’t pan out between her and Eric.
calling her out on her choices regarding some of her choices in men, her affair with E.J., and so what does she do …. she falls into bed, with absolutely no prior build-up to a romantic relationship, as usual with this show, with the father of her son’s husband. Please, Adrianne, keep your mouth shut and remember that you are the one of the last ones who should be giving out advice regarding cheaters, lovers and liars. Remember Emilio Rodriguez? You are such a damn hypocrite….a horny one, admittedly, but still a hypocrite. It must be a requirement to live in Salem. I hope Justin tosses your butt to the curb when he finds out. Same for you Lucas. You practically raked Daniel and Jennifer over the coals every time you ran into either one of them because of Chloe cheating with Dan, and here you go cheating with a very married Adrianne Kiriakis …. ugh!!!. Where’s what you two are doing any different in your world?
but I’m really rooting for Ali Sweeney to win in the Best Actress category (but she’s got some tough competition). To me, it would be well deserved simply for her many years on DOOL and this being her very first nom.
I’m also rooting for Camila Banus in the Young Actress category, and think she might take it, as well as it being her first nom too). I love Freddie Smith, but I don’t think he’ll win, and although Peggy’s reel (the Will/Sonny wedding speech) was pretty terrific, that was about the only really terrific scene she had, and she’s a 4-time Emmy winner from past years, so I’m really hoping it goes to Alison.
I really feel bad for Blake Berris, who was once again snubbed and removed from the final noms, as well as Ari Zucker, both of whom I thought truly deserved the Emmy for their work.
I agree with you about the work of Jen Lilley (Theresa), even though I truly despise the character. The actress is terrific in the role and people hating on her so much only proves what a fabulous actress she truly is. Unfortunately, she didn’t send in a reel, therefore she wasn’t ever in the running this year. But, with what she has coming into play, look for her to be in the running next year!!!
and I still say he’s the one who will be bringing back Bo and Steve, and Adrianne and Lucas will be over, done with, gone. I’m beginning to think Bo and Steve are being held prisoners somewhere, and Justin has been working to get them out and back home.

Those dimples are what makes him so adorable, and now that he will be returning to DOOL, I’m hoping that I was right and that Justin is/was behind the return of Bo and Steve, and this Elsa was his cover. Also, I can’t wait for Adrianne to get caught and then have to suffer the consequences. Of course, if he really did cheat, then go Adrianne, but I’m hoping NOT! Just not with Lucas, PLEASE.
he didn’t deserve another really, really, really bad partner, yet Derek gets the cream of the crop every season, although I think she’ll have a hard time competing with Rumer Willis and Val …. who seem to be the ones to beat this season!
