I just watched Thursday and Friday’s shows, for the big reveal. Most things I would say have already been mentioned, except that I just thoroughly enjoy Billy Flynn’s Chad Di Mera. In Friday’s dark and heavy episode, seeing him toy with Ben (and Abby) like a cat with a mouse made me smile. I found it comedic even, but I think it’s all due to BF’s charm.

I love how nuanced the character is. Brutal when it comes to business, but sweet with his nephew, and he was the first one to jump on that journalist and to tell him to take a hike.

How do you feel about him?

he planned it with Stefano’s help. chad had a smirk on his face at the end of the show. he got sympathy from Abigail which is all part of their plan.

because he kept looking at his watch right before that reporter arrived, and then he attacked the guy with the camera, resulting in him getting punched in the mouth.  I think he set the whole thing up, too.  He’s definitely working with Stefano to gain Abigail’s pity, all the while baiting Ben, and Abs is too dumb to realize it…yet!  She’s playing right into Chad’s and Stefano’s hands.

This was an awesome recast!  I agree with Patti, I think it was a setup.

I agree, Patti. I also thought that he had a hand in he whole thing. he is toying with Abigail, not because he wants her back but because he wants her to pay for betraying him with his brother.  The actor does a great job at being a devious wolf in sheep’s clothing. I didn’t pick up on the watch but caught the smirk on his face. Ben sees through him but Abigail loves the attention so she doesn’t see what is in front of her face. Hope and Maggie have his number, showing who are the smart ones in Salem.  However, Dhad needs to watch out for Clyde!

judging from the look on his face but couldn’t understand why he would want to use Will and Sonny in that very public way. I thought he at least had a soft spot for his friendship with Sonny especially after he almost died. You think he is the one who told the reporter that Will “blackmailed” Paul into coming out? That’s just plain out repulsive to me if he did, but I do agree that Billy Flynn is doing a good job as Chad. I did like Casey D when he played Chad but I don’t think he could have pulled off this transformation of Chad as well as Billy Flynn. And unlike Will, a character I just plain detest right now, I really love to hate Chad!
