Participantthey’re doing one heck of a GREAT job!!!! Our show is BACK!!! And next week we get Patch back!!!! Be still my grateful heart!!!!

Participantas well as the director(s) and other members of the crew deciding scenes needed to be more believable. A simple thing like placing a fan on the scene to display soft breezes and hair and leaves moving in a breeze is adding a believability to the entire scene that I haven’s seen in years. Same thing with the background sounds, even though we haven’t seen a dog on the show since "Pookie!" LOL. I just think it adds quite a bit to the believability aspect in the scene. Yes, by all means, keep it coming DOOL!!!

Participantjust a small, rather almost insignificant thing, but has anyone noticed the little touches that make a scene more believable? For instance, there were some scenes in the last couple of days where we heard barking dogs in the background, birds chirping in the park, sights like leaves blowing in the wind, and their outdoor scenes showed both Marlena’s and Hope’s hair moving with the breeze while this was occurring. I know it probably sounds like a stupid thing to bring up, but these are the things, to me anyway, that make the scenes come alive along with good acting and dialogue. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me. I also think the background music is much better when a scene calls for it, like that somewhat creepy music played yesterday when Aiden was giving Hope that lying snowjob about Clyde being innocent and again when she offered to take him home with her. Even the dialogue seems to have been brought to life by the actors. I think they’re having a great time acting now, and it’s certainly showing. Also, so loved the touching scenes yesterday between Marlena and John, which, by the way, scenes are lasting much longer than 20-seconds and this, too, is impressive. We are actually getting conversations that can be followed now. I’m just loving it!

ParticipantI think I read somewhere that we will be seeing John and Marlena’s, and that makes me very happy because it tells me that eventually they are going to put them back together. Can’t wait!

Participantgive Will what he deserved to hear yesterday. I expected Sonny to die, so I’m glad I was wrong on that one, but this job with Uncle Vic in Europe is a new one for me. Although I do recall Victor offering Sonny the nightclub when he first bought it, saying he bought it for him, and Sonny turned him down flat. Now, suddenly, Victor has offered Sonny a job that will take him out of Salem. I will miss Freddie Smith, but better Sonny leave Salem than Sonny dying. Just hard to imagine it being easy for him to leave Ariana.

ParticipantI think it’s more the norm than not. I do believe we are going to see Hope’s home as one of the returning sets, tonight, when she takes Aiden to her home (or at least her bedroom) after he is attacked. Also, I think tomorrow we will see the new writers’ names appear in the credits, but so far small changes have been popping up over the last couple of weeks. Tomorrow actually is the start of the new writers’ work, but tweaks to TomSell sls have been obvious for weeks now.

ParticipantI always did like Tyrod Taylor. He’s extremely fast and has an incredible ability to get his self out of a jam resulting in big gains. And his main problem isn’t even his passing game; it’s his size. But, like I said, it does allow him to be very evasive and to get out of the clutches of some of the big boys, and when he does you can bet he’s off to the races. Good luck this season. I agree, the Bills look good. Oops, this was meant to go under casey’s reply post.

Participantbut Aiden departs (with Chase) in November. I’m not certain about Bo either; that’s just speculation on my part and rumors I’m hearing that Peter never did decide to sign on long-term; that this was just a way to give the character closure and that he may be one of the victims of a serial killer s/l which will begin at the end of this month. Bo shows up in Salem in September and if he’s short-term, like a 3-month arc and then gone …. this may be how he goes out. As for Aiden, Daniel Cosgrove told a lot of fans at an event months back that he was leaving, but did not say if it was his choice or TPTB. I think something bad is going to befall Aiden at the hands of Clyde.

Participantthat was an exciting game for a pre-season opener. Ravens pulled out the win in the final 2 minutes, and scored the winning touchdown with just 2 seconds left on the clock. Saw a lot of exciting young new players make some terrific plays, and some not-so-terrific ones, but all in all, I was impressed with most of the new kids on the block. Not so with the defense as much, though.
Patti
Participanteom! That will be the closure exit for him.
Patti
Participantjust look how she lied to Caroline yesterday about that phony broken ankle, and now she’s going to continue to try and manipulate her staying where she is. I hope Xander puts the fear of God into her, if not worse.
Patti
Participantif he signed one at all. I think Bo will be one of the characters murdered, and that will be his closure exit for good. Ken Corday gave a recent interview stating that any character(s) killed after September 1st will be dead, dead, dead, for good, and I think Bo Brady will be one of them. Just speculating, but there are rumors galore regarding this.
Patti
Participantcould or should ad lib dialogue; but, actually, it’s not even the writers’ fault….it would be first and foremost the final scene editor’s mistake for not catching it to begin with. It just tells me how so little attention is paid to who is responsible for putting the final scenes together. In any case, Will and Sonny should have at least made some sort of crack about Ari being an only child.
