This is not the beginning of the end. They have been renewed, but they are going on a long hiatus, so I think they have to all be released from their contracts until they return.
I read that a while back too. I have an aunt that learned English by watching Young and the Restless.
They’re going on hiatus for several months, and that’s going to change the taping schedule. The time jump is just to wrap up some stories quickly and then they’ll go on hiatus.
I actually heard from Jason on his Facebook page that they are actually 8 months ahead! They are putting everyone on hiatus for 4 to 6 months and hoping to only shoot 2 months ahead. The problem with 8 months ahead led to viewers loving Stefan and Gabi, but Stefan’s death was already done and they couldn’t change the story. If they had been down to two months, they could have rewritten things when they saw the fans loving their storyline.
They were a year behind in Salem. You know they drag those storylines out forever. It could have been 2018 this whole time.
That makes so much more sense, for this show. Not a real Stefano, just someone who thinks he’s Stefano and has his memories. That would tie into Rolf and Gina and would then make sense as to Rolf’s plans.
I was so not expecting some things today. Will and Haley were big surprises and I read spoilers. I saw nothing about either of them. I thought everything was so well done today.
I am so totally disappointed over this. I find it totally disrespectful to Joe M. That would be like re-casting Tom or Alice. Please let it be EJ, but not Stefano.
I think we might have to wait for a Christmas miracle. Instill can’t figure out why we brought back Rolf and resurrected this Gina storyline. We didn’t even need Rolf for Jack to get his memory back. Let’s kill him off, please.
I thought it was all done quite well. I love the suspense and the speed at which the show went. I thought for sure they’d leave us hanging about whether or not Eric found out about the baby.
I was also happy to see Jenn wake up and have Jack tell her she’s been in a coma for a year.
That’s a little odd too. Although they’ve done it before with Chris Kosichek coming back as Roman and Roman coming back as that creepy guy whose name I don’t remember.
I also had a thought that maybe it could be EJ since Johnny is coming back.
Is that they let Jennifer be happy. They’ve had her sad and mopey for years. Happiness always makes a person look younger.
