I thought this first ep of the time jump was VERY well done. Even had a few suprises in there I didn’t see coming. Nicely done (so far) writers!
What’s all this talk about a time jump. I haven’t been watching regularly lately. Missed some episodes here and there. What’s the time jump storyline and why is it happening?

On Thursday’s episode Jennifer was pushed off a balcony and went into a coma. Ben came home looking for Ciara and found their place trashed and a woman’s arm sticking out behind some furniture. Eric confronted Sarah about being pregnant.
the end of Friday’s episode Jack was at Jennifer’s bedside with an hourglass John had given him. He turned it over and suddenly Jennifer woke up and it was a year later. Today we found out that Jordan was killed with her scarf and Ben’s in prison for it. Will is his cell mate but no idea why. Jj’s back on drugs and Sarah has a baby girl that her and Xander are passing off as his.
it was well done and they’re filling in gaps without having to go through long drawn out storylines.
I was so not expecting some things today. Will and Haley were big surprises and I read spoilers. I saw nothing about either of them. I thought everything was so well done today.
I do expect to see a lot of flashbacks explaining some of these happenings; otherwise, things can get pretty confusing. In any event, I did not like some of the acting today, particularly Ben’s and Ciara’s. I understand from some spoilers given away at the Day of Days Event that we are going to have Christmas in Salem, as well as a New Year’s Eve event, so I am looking forward to that. I don’t know how long it is going to take to go from 5 months ahead down to a month or two, which I have always been waiting for, so I’ll hang on for now. I still hope it doesn’t take too long to wrap up some of these storylines though!
Are they moving away from the 5-6 advanced taping schedule to a 1-2 month? Is that for sure for sure? And is that why they did this (or was it really story line motivated?) I read somewhere the cash got some time off – is that the reason?
I too was surprised about Will and Haley. The spoiler I saw about Haley said nothing about her dying. The Will spoilers implied he and Sonny were having trouble but nothing about him being in jail.
I’m glad Days cleared a lot up in one episode today; I hope they keep up the pace in telling us what happened in the past year.

I’m waiting for Jennifer to say, "I was in a coma for one whole year? Who’s our new president?" (No political discussions, please.)

I actually heard from Jason on his Facebook page that they are actually 8 months ahead! They are putting everyone on hiatus for 4 to 6 months and hoping to only shoot 2 months ahead. The problem with 8 months ahead led to viewers loving Stefan and Gabi, but Stefan’s death was already done and they couldn’t change the story. If they had been down to two months, they could have rewritten things when they saw the fans loving their storyline.
Thanks DeeLan. Appreciate it! I’ve taped the episodes since last Thursday and just watched Thursday’s and Friday’s. Will be catching up on the rest tomorrow. I follow K.A. on Instagram and today she posted that they’re all still there very happily. Hoping to enjoy this jump.
