Sorry, I respectfully disagree.  You say "I don’t care what kind of person that mother is, there is no replacing her."  Just because somebody give’s birth, doesn’t make them a good mother.   Practically any woman can give birth, even bad ones. There are a lot of truly despicable mothers out there so it does matter what kind of person that mother is.  I have seen bad mothers for myself and kids raised in a terrible household.  NOT fair to the kids!

Absolutely okay.  It’s great when everybody has his/her own opinion and can respectfully disagree with someone as well, but it was getting too personal on the other thread so this is a great idea to leave the politics out of Dancing (where it absolutely doesn’t belong and has no relevance to the show.)

I hope Jennifer wins.  I think she is an excellent dancer and she has natural talent.  I really hope Bristol doesn’t win (though I give her credit as she’s come a long way) but I’ve known all along that Dancing is a popularity contest and it’s the format of the show to have the people vote.  The best dancer doesn’t necessarily win because people are voting for their ‘favorites’ as Brooke and Tom repeatedly say.  There have been many dancers I’ve wanted to win but didn’t.  Unless the show changes its format, the people have most of the say so the winner may not be the best dancer.  I’ve heard there’s a big backlash at ABC with angry viewers writing/calling them about Bristol still being there.  And though I don’t think that Bristol should still be there as her dancing is not up to par with the others, it isn’t fair for people to blame her (I’ve been reading other sites and some of the comments are not pretty) as the viewers are voting, not her.

Bristol should not be there in the finals but it’s not her fault.  People voted for her.  If she was a Democrat, there wouldn’t be half the outcry (I’m saying this because people keep mentioning the tea party conspiracy).  And it’s because people don’t like her mother, so they are blaming her.  There were lots of people who shouldn’t have gone to the finals and I saw no complaining then.  Why the HUGE fuss now?  I didn’t see anyone complaining when Marie Osmond made it to the finals and she was not a good dancer at all.   Then I read that a guy just shot his TV after he saw Bristol dance.  Granted the guy has psychological issues but enough already.  If people are going to get that enraged over a tv show, then maybe they should channel that anger into what really matters such as the mess our country is in.  Now that is something to worry/get worked up about.

If I ignore Melanie’s crazy over-the-top rantings and put myself in her shoes, I know that I would tell my mother or father if something like that happened.  I would not be able to keep quiet.  Even though Daniel and Chloe weren’t married at the time, it’s still cheating.  With that said, however, I can’t stand how Melanie’s acting over this.   Stop talking and yelling about this.  Either tell Daniel or don’t!   Seems she’s getting upset at a lot of people lately.  Her holier-than-thou attitude is sickening.

That was the first thing I thought of, election results.  Please already if that’s the case.  There’s been so much coverage already and that’s what the nightly news is for.  And besides, all of the other cable news channels can show that stuff all day.  We need a break and that’s what Days if for.

I was also laughing when Victor says to Brady, "Is she back to burying people alive again?" as if it’s such a normal occurence.   It’s what Victor says but also the way he says it.  I don’t think it would be as funny coming from anybody else.

Wow.  When I posted last week about a possible story line for Hope and that there may be an organ scheme going on after the woman died of appendicitis, I was half joking.  Guess maybe I’ll be right!

Patti, I loved your comment about Philip on his greasy, unkempt little head.  That made me really laugh!

I thought it was simple and beautiful.  But the boobs sticking out the top of it was a little bit much!  They looked so pushed up through the top.

Regarding the Hope story line, I have a feeling that the woman dying is foreshadowing something to come.  I think something shady is going on in the prison and the woman dying is part of that something bad  (selling organs on the black market? I can’t believe I even wrote that–from watching too many detective shows I guess).  I think that Hope will be involved in a storyline there (what else are they going to do with her) and she’ll use her detective skills and figure out whatever bad stuff that’s happening.  Then she will be rewarded and get out of prison.

I completely agree.  She is understandably upset, but her over-the-top rants are annoying to say the least.  I think if it was somebody else doing the yelling, I could probably tolerate it a little bit more.  Though the character is growing on me somewhat, there is something about her yelling/crying scenes that irritate me to no end.

I’m sure we’ll see a lot more of her today.  I wonder if Daniel finds out today or if they will string it along until Monday?  Once Mel finds out that not only did Carly know, but that the other guy was Phillip, she’ll completely lose it.  Her resentment/anger/sadness will be totally justifiable, but it’s the way she acts that I’m not looking forward to.

Sami did shoot EJ.  I don’t see how it could be anyone else.  I thought the wound was always on his right side where Sami shot him. I don’t recall seeing it on his left side at all.  Good point about maybe her eyes were closed when she shot the gun, but even still, the wound was on the side she shot the gun and nobody was behind her.  Even if it does end up that somebody else shot EJ (which I don’t think is the case but anything’s possible) and Sami missed, Sami still fired the gun at him so it’s still attempted murder.

I just find it funny that Hope of all the people in Salem is in jail.   She is one of the least deserving to be there.  Look at all the times we mention that nobody ever pays for their crimes in Salem.   But Hope needs to pay.  Look at Stefano, Kate, Nicole, Victor, Vivian, Sami, etc. who have either plotted murders, hired someone to murder, attempted murder, and the list goes on and on.  I know some of these people have served some kind of very short jail time but come on.  I know Hope is in jail for the storyline but it just struck me yesterday watching Hope in jail and thinking how lame this whole thing is.  I’m not enjoying this storyline at all.

I also don’t think that Bo and Carly should be living together now.  Poor little Ciera has enough to deal with (with her mother being in prison) without having to have Carly at their house all the time.  After Hope’s sentencing, Bo should have immediately told Carly to get out as his #1 priority is to be with his daughter alone.

I don’t think EJ knows what love really is.  He wouldn’t have done the awful things he did if he truly loved her.  With that said though, I think he does love her as much as he could love anyone.  I don’t think he’s manipulating her.  He thinks he loves her.  To me, love is actions so he doesn’t love her in the true sense of the word.  He just has too much evil in him to be capable of love.

And yes, Sami will never be happy with any man.   She deserves EJ more than Rafe because of all of the truly terrible things she has done to people (raping Austin, stealing Belle, lying about Will’s paternity, injecting John with drugs and the list goes on and on!!)  These aren’t just little things but I know that in Soapland these things are forgotten.  So she’s a better match for EJ.

What bugs me the most about Sami, is that her life is always about men!  I can’t stand that when Sami is upset or confused (which is most of the time) in her conversations with Rafe and EJ (or anyone for that matter), she clenches her mouth, gets all huffy, and acts all breathless.
