I don’t understand. How many times have men run off or died and the women are left to care for the kids? Sami, Hope, Jennifer, Kayla, etc. But suddenly when it happens to a man, he’s not capable of taking care of his own child? It’s very frustrating and insulting to watch. Not to mention Lucas and Adrianne are starting their lives out together, plus they have grown children.  Taking on a baby (that they’ve never spent ANY time with!) may not be their top priority. And what happened to Mary, she was always the one that watched the kids in the mansion, Chad can’t track her down to help him out?

I was wondering where Thomas was when Chad ran into Jennifer today, though.

Doug and Julie are living with Jennifer to supervise her and make sure she stays clean.  If she can’t take care of herself, what right does she have to take away someone’s baby? And Chad may be no expert in raising kids, but he is an expert at Thomas, he’s been with him every day all day for months (it’s not like Chad is working), plus he hired a nanny to help him. Jennifer hasn’t had him overnight since Abby spent a few nights there with Thomas months ago. It’s ridiculous! Why doesn’t Jen ask if she can stay at the mansion for a few nights if she’s soooo worried? It’s almost like they’re saying a single dad can’t be a fit parent and it makes me want to scream!

the format and didn’t mind the whole show being focused on catching us up, just didn’t care for the content. Another dopelganger from the Dimera’s, no thank you. I kind of feel like this was the writers way to fix killing off Aiden since so many fans liked Aiden and Hope together and also to justify Hope killing Stefano. I was never a huge fan of Hope/Aiden. I did like the slow build up to their relationship, but I usually don’t like it when iconic characters are put with new characters. Since Rafe has been on the show for a while, we have most of his family history and Hope and Rafe have a long history working together, I’m ok with their relationship.  Except for Sami being Hope’s neice and Rafe’s ex-wife. I can get over that, though. Especially with Bo’s blessing on their relationship. But with the filming so far in advance, this Aiden story definitely feels like a fix that is too little too late.  I just don’t care about his character anymore, he wasn’t on the show that long and I never fully trusted that Chase was the one that killed Aiden’s dead wife and not Aiden.  And isn’t Chase gone, or is he still filming?

I also didn’t like the dead bird, too gross for me and wouldn’t it smell? 

I thought she might try to comfort Paul a little bit while he was on the ground in the underground warehouse. He seemed really upset and she would just glance at him. She didn’t seem to care when Eric told Marlena about Jennifer, and there have been a few other times lately where I thought she could step up the concern a little bit.  It makes me realize that she’s very much into John and really not into much else. She seems to choose him over her kids and everything else in her life constantly.

with Summer’s age.  It wasn’t that long ago that Victor was telling Maggie that Deimos was in jail for 30 years and was put there when he was 20 and Maggie said "Oh, he’s a lot younger than you, then."  How old are Maggie and Summer supposed to be?  It looks like Suzanne (Maggie) was born in 1944, if she had a kid at 17, her kid would be 55. I assumed Summer is in her late 20s, which would make Maggie in her late 40s.

Just looked it up and Summer is 42 in real life, which would put Maggie at 59.  A little more believable, but I’m still having an issue with it. She doesn’t look older than Nick’s mom, who was on a couple years ago.

John’s father said something about Paul being young and strong, maybe he knows that Brady had a heart transplant and isn’t very strong right now. Just a guess. Also wondering if Paul being Asian will play into this.

I like Belle and Philip together more than I ever have.  I actually prefer her with him rather than Shawn, who I see no chemistry with. I like the guy that’s playing Philip right now. But yeah, Belle and Philip are both acting sleazy.

that he had the wrong ashes sent to Samantha. Plus, Sami said she thinks EJ is alive and we don’t know where she is right now.  She could have found him and is living with him and the kids. 

reaction to Jen being an addict was odd. I couldn’t tell if she thought Eric was lying to get the attention onto somebody else, or if she just didn’t care.

I watched an HBO documentary on heroin last night.  Would be interesting if they went there with Jennifer.  Not even if she tried it, but if it was offered to her and she considered it.
