Yeah an Aiden doppelgänger. I. Can’t.
These writers could not come up with an original idea if their lives depended on it. They all deserve to be fired. Bring in anyone off the street and you would have a better shot at a more original storyline. The actors must be ashamed of the motions they have to go through. I am running out of patience for this type of laziness.
Also, I could escape a freakin chain link fence!!! I mean we used to get through them into the playground when we were kids! Just kick at the bottom until it bows out and crawl under you idiot! Why bother holding your breath for three minutes and scribbling in a notebook if you could just crawl under the fence!!!! Six months of this? Move over Brady Black, there’s a new idiot in Salem!
Talking to the dead bird ala Wilson from Castaway was kind of funny.
I do enjoy the directing, lighting and music lately though. If only they could write a story worthy of the talents of the composer and director!
the format and didn’t mind the whole show being focused on catching us up, just didn’t care for the content. Another dopelganger from the Dimera’s, no thank you. I kind of feel like this was the writers way to fix killing off Aiden since so many fans liked Aiden and Hope together and also to justify Hope killing Stefano. I was never a huge fan of Hope/Aiden. I did like the slow build up to their relationship, but I usually don’t like it when iconic characters are put with new characters. Since Rafe has been on the show for a while, we have most of his family history and Hope and Rafe have a long history working together, I’m ok with their relationship. Except for Sami being Hope’s neice and Rafe’s ex-wife. I can get over that, though. Especially with Bo’s blessing on their relationship. But with the filming so far in advance, this Aiden story definitely feels like a fix that is too little too late. I just don’t care about his character anymore, he wasn’t on the show that long and I never fully trusted that Chase was the one that killed Aiden’s dead wife and not Aiden. And isn’t Chase gone, or is he still filming?
I also didn’t like the dead bird, too gross for me and wouldn’t it smell?
I agree about Aiden. Don’t care about the character. Don’t want him with Hope. I would rather her with Rafe whom I trust and know and who is blessed by Bo. This whole foray into an Aiden twin is a waste of time for me. I don’t want him back. And the fact of the matter is Aiden did consider killing Hope. He actually put on the mask and got the tie etc. How can you trust someone who almost killed you? The whole thing just doesn’t work for me. The best acting in this episode was the dead bird.
It was determined long ago that Aiden was brought to Salem by Stefano and Andre to dupe Hope and to distract her from going after Bo, so in a sense, for me, that was reason enough to believe that Aiden Jennings was not a "good" guy. He was being used as a pawn by the DiMeras, who threatened him with his son, but that does not excuse that he allowed it to happen; even went so far as to change Hope’s beneficiary on her insurance policy (which I’m sure can not even be done the way it was portrayed), did agree to kill Hope, and was instructed to marry Hope and then murder her, which, up until the very last minute, he was perfectly willing to do. Now, suddenly, there’s a double once again; the DiMeras are the true villains, and the real Aiden is once again a good guy who still loves Hope. PA-LEEEAAASSSEE!!! I have seen enough to know when I have seen enough!!!
I loved Aiden and Hope tgether and was upset when they ruined his character. Please remember that this all happened because BO wished to tie up the Bope love sotry which allowed BO to be a hero.
Ironically, redemming Bo meant trashing Aiden. It was a raw deal for sure.
I don’t buy this hurry up romance between Rafe and Hope. How long has Bo been dead? Somehow, I would think it would take Hope a little more time to get over the death of the "love of her life". I also feel that her whole priority should be helping Ciara.
I love Rafe, but I’m not sure if I love Rope (Rafe and Hope) I also HATE the idea that she should be with Rafe because Bo gave his blessing on their pairing! Again the writers insinuate that Hope is incapable of forging her own future and she needs Bo to help her choose her next partner. Hope is a strong woman who is more than capable to live her life. After all she lived alone and raised her children a long time while Bo was off.
My problem with Aiden’s return is CHASE. How could she ever even consider accepting Aiden’s story when his son ruined her daughter’s life. I just don’t know WHY they went down that road with her and Chase. Unfortunately there is no way to undo that SL!
I also agree that this SL is similar to many others, including Rafe!But then the SLs have been repeating ever since Dena has returned!
I did like the way the episode was done in explaining what happened.
I agree that Hope is capable of making her own choices but I feel that she has been shown growing close to Rafe on her own. I just like the idea that Bo trusted Rafe. Aiden always left me cold. Also Aiden agreed initially to murder Hope. He’s not a good guy, period. As far as the redeeming Bo storyline I agree it was rushed and sloppy but my feelings on the history of this super couple stand. Bo has been dead since before Christmas. It’s quick for her to fall in love but in Salem time either moves really fast with kids going from infants to teens literally overnight or it drags on endlessly with NYE lasting more than a week and everyone wearing the same clothes for days on end. I don’t hold Salem to the same time standard as the real world.
how come that bird didn’t deteriorate? And how come his beard grew but his hair didn’t, at least not proportionately to the beard. And could he have worn those same clothes all that time? Did he brush his teeth? I don’t believe he could have held his breath that long either.
