They usually tape two or three episodes of scenes on a certain set (in this case, the EJ’s Clinic Room set) on the same day.

Plus, James might also have to do scenes on the same day for a different episode, so for a portion of the day, he’d be without the "blood" on.

Woops…just realized I put the wrong age for the Tovey twins. They just turned 3 in December. They were born in December 2007. I was typing quick and hit the wrong #…sorry for the confusion. So, for the record, the Sydney girls turned 3 in December and the Johnny boys turn 6 in April.

    A few quick comments:

The first baby Parker was played by two girls (Ellie & Rose Karchmer). The new Parker who debuted earlier this month is two boys (Anton & Preston LeBlanc).

Elizabeth & Mariam Tovey, who play Sydney, turned 4 in December.

Aaron & Grrifin Kunitz, who play Johnny, turn 6 next month.

The pictures they have been showing of Mickey are of John Clarke (the original Mickey, 1965-2004). The one they showed today was a promotional picture from the 1980’s before Clarke grew a beard in the 1990s.

I had posted on my site awhile back that the Christmas episode would be airing on December 27, due to the Presidential News Conference preemption on November 3. Don’t blame "Days", it’s not their fault. The Christmas episode (as well as all the other episodes for November and December) had already been taped by the time the November 3 preemption happened. It’s not like the old days when "Days" was taped just a few weeks ahead of airdate. The only way to have aired the "Days" Christmas episode on its scheduled date would have been to totally preempt an episode, and then you’d have tons of people on the boards complaining that an episode was preempted and not shown anywhere in the country.  It’s a small group this year, just Doug, Julie, Maggie, Jennifer and Ciara around for the ornament scene.

Both actors are 20 though, just seven weeks apart in age.

Roark was not available to tape the week that they taped the memorial for Alice. "Days" accomodated him and he post-taped all 3 of his episodes a week later. So, since he couldn’t be in the group scenes, he had to be in a separate place, in this case, the hospital room, for his scenes.

Bonbon: The actors themselves decide what category (lead or supporting) to submit themselves in. Actors who are 25 or younger are placed in the younger actor categories.

Thanks for the comment, Bonbon. I appreciate it! Yes, Daysfanforever, "Days" created a brother for Doug, named Byron Carmichael, for six episodes in the summer of 1979. I think he was a rich man married to Lee Dumonde (Brenda Benet) and ended up dying and there was a fight over his inheritance, and that was Lee’s introduction on "Days." Bill decided to give a fake name "George Spelvin" in the credits, perhaps to trick fans into thinking another actor was playing Byron.

Thanks. Glad you liked the tribute. And, with Bill being born in 1925, he’ll be turning 85 this year. He still looks great!

There is no episode scheduled for Monday.

    Episode # 11271 aired on Friday 2/12.

    Episode # 11272 airs on Tuesday 2/16.

Nothing is missed on Monday 2/15.

Days will be preempted nationally this Monday 2/15. Bryan’s last airdate was listed as 2/16, but others have said he airs later in the week, so it looks like his last episode will be airing this coming week. "Days" is on the rest of the Olympics.
